This is a cute children's book for young children aged 4-8. It is about a young boy and his dragon who are looking at what happens in the autumn/fall time. The book has short sentences and beautiful illustrations which describe words such as dear dragon, school, geese, leaves, rake, pumpkins, jack-o-lantern and moon. There are also Word Work and Activity sections at the end of the book, which are useful. My daughter and I loved this book, and I highly recommend it. My daughter loved counting the geese and other things.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is a brilliant, simple but engaging level 1 reading for three to five year olds. I find this series of books much more interesting than the books that my nine year old learnt to read with. Five stars ⭐

Another great Dear Dragon book. We've been really enjoying using these books with my beginner reader. He enjoys the simple story; the illustrations really help him and the sentences are at the right level to help my reader feel good about his reading. We've read a few of these now and we're always enjoying them. You can't go wrong with any of the Dear Dragon books for your beginner reader. I would definitely recommend to friends and family for their early readers.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

Early Reader book that gives success to young readers. With repetitive and I see, young readers will develop a love for reading with confidence. Using fall words, Dear Dragon is the catalyst for reading.

Work work is at the end of each book in the Dear Dragon series. The word work on this particular book works on singular and plural nouns. The building blocks of reading. Highly recommend.

A special thank you to Norwood House Press and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

I Love Fall, Dear Dragon! by Marla Conn is a book in the Dear Dragon series for developing readers. According to the synopsis, the book is about "when a boy and his pet dragon enjoy a fall day exploring... They enjoy going to school, carving a pumpkin, jumping in leaves and more." The sentences themselves are simple, which makes sense, since this book is for a Level B reader. I did notice that the words were a bit more difficult than in the Level A books. I took off 1 star, because I found the pictures somewhat lacking. Some children's books are read over and over, because children adore the illustrations. Unfortunately, you won't find that here.

As a teacher, I liked that there is a picture dictionary at the beginning of this book in a section called "words in this book." I also liked common sight words (without pictures) were included. Often, when introducing vocabulary books, we focus on words that have pictures and forget about words like "at" and "is." I also liked the activity pages at the end of the book, which include "word work" (singular and plural) and "activity" (language experience approach). Those are definitely useful activities that will help kids academically. If you're looking for a book for a Level B reader, I recommend that you check out this series, which is available now!

Join a cute little boy and his pet dragon on a fall day! They go to school, see friends and carve a pumpkin.

"I Love Fall, Dear Dragon" by Marla Conn is a Level B reader. It is written with repeated words and brief sentences your child will be familiar with in a basic story developed to increase the child's confidence in reading. The book is terrific fun for beginning readers and increases their vocabulary as they read.

The illustrations by David Schimmell are bright, colorful cartoon style clues that make it easier for the reader to figure out the words. The activities section for children at the end of the book reinforces skills the student is learning.
