This book helped me see myself very clearly & felt tender towards myself as I read. I gave the book the time it deserved to process & apply the concepts. It was so good I plan to read it again and use with my therapy clients. Healing and important!

This book focuses on outlining what an empath is and on learning how to cope as a highly sensitive person in a world dominated by those who do not feel so deeply. It also gives copying strategies and ways in which an empath can learn to thrive and process the emotions of others without experiencing overwhelm and illness.

I loved this book, it was like looking in a mirror the exercises were really helpful but the best thing was it explained so much about my experiences that I had never put together before.

The writing style is informative and kind. I would definitely recommend this book to anybody who considers themselves highly sensitive or who is struggling with emotional stress and or disconnection from their body.

I absolutely love this book. As an empath I can relate to what was written so much! And it's nice to know I'm not alone and there are things I can do to appreciate my gift more. The illustrations are beautiful. Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for an ARC copy.

Initially I was ready to give this book a 3-star rating, but then the chapter about healing crystals came up and for me spreading such as misinformation always results in valuing the publication less.

Let me start with underlining that being a Highly Sensitive Person or an Empath is not a diagnosis. These are both modern theories, which from a scientific standpoint cannot be confirmed or denied with a certainty as an empirical experience of self cannot be successfully measured. As mental health professionals we can only rely on what our clients/patients think and how they feel about themselves.

It is often mentioned that the term HSP was *created* in the 90's by Elaine Aron to sell the self-help book she authored and the theory somehow stuck.

I am afraid that "The Healed Empath" is written with a cognitive bias, as Kristen Schwartz identifies as an empath. In my opinion this results in "writing about me for me", meaning that there's an implication that every person who considers themselves an empath experiences the world in the same way. However, even if it'd turn out in the future that the HSP and empath theories are indeed baloney, this book can still be a helpful resource for some readers, especially those who identify as HSP/empaths.

I'd be still quite cautious about juggling with such diagnostic terms as trauma and anxiety, as they more often that not need professional assessment and help, and reading a book is not enough. I wouldn't say it's potentially harmful, but in many cases won't be sufficient for helping people deal with traumatic experiences.

That being said, I must admit that "The Healed Empath" is a aesthetically pleasing book, which is a smart strategy to get it under many more roofs.

This is a pleasingly presented book. It’s very insightful and provides a few ‘a-ha!’ moments. Great self help book. Worth a read if you think you identify as an empathetic person.

Interesting, timely, and a quick read. This was really interesting and I liked the format. It covered quite a few aspects of empaths' experience and strategies I enjoyed. As someone new to the concept of being an empath and what that looks like, I found the book to be a great introduction.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

As an empath, I have struggled at times with being more emotional or sensitive to things that didn’t seem to affect other people around me. For the longest time I figured that that was a flaw within myself but over the years have come to realize that being an empath is a gift. This book was beautifully put together and gave suggestions to the empathic person on ways to cope with and heal from being an empathic person. Being an empath can take much energy and emotional stamina and so I was appreciative of the authors insight on the topic area. I feel the text is very good on an overall level and appreciated the normalization of what being empathic is. I would recommend this book to other empaths as well as others who don’t identify as highly empathic so more understanding is known. I am grateful for the opportunity to review this eARC book.

I've always known I had strong feelings, but I never knew what actually made a person an empath. This book has good practical info on this. I also enjoyed the interior design of the book.

The Healed Empath by Kristen Schwartz is a great book for anyone who is interested in learning more about themselves. Would you consider yourself a sensitive person? Do you feel things deeply, even things that dont affect you? Do you get overwhelmed at social events and need lots of alone time to recharge? Do you feel weighed down by emotions of other people who are suffering? Do you prioritize others' wellness over your own? If you think this sounds like you, you need this book. It covers everything from self-awareness and intuition to trauma and boundaries, and teaches you how to nurture your energy and step into your power. It is also full of beautiful calming illustrations and inspiring quotes. Thank you to NetGalley for giving me a free digital Advanced Reading Copy (ARC e-book) of this title. I really enjoyed it!

As an empath, this book was very helpful. The book itself was beautifully colored and adorned.
Reading the book, I saw myself. I saw myself as more than just an empath, but a tired, ragged empath. I had never taken the time to look at myself and heal until reading this book. The author describes ways for us empaths to heal, to take care of our souls and emotions when other people try to take over. I liked the quizzes and checklist that helped clear me to understand just what I needed.
I would recommend this book for any empath whether they think they need healing or not.

I think this book is a great start for anyone who may believe they are an empath. It covers the foundation, definition, types, and actions pretty fairly. As someone who has been in her Spiritual Journey and aware of her empathic abilities for years, I didn’t learn much, but I did like and agree with everything that was covered.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was an easy, quick read with quite a few pearls of wisdom for me personally. I found the format approachable and the style easy to follow. The chapters were organised well. I liked the exercises included.

I did learn quite a bit about being an empath and about the positives and negatives of it. I found myself recognizing some of the examples and found they resonated with my own past experiences.

Overall very informative. I think I would have liked more on the day to day struggle of an empath and even more depth to boundaries and interactions with family members, but I think this is a very useful, empowering, informative, positive book.

I strongly recommend it.

While I agree with much of the content, I don't feel like it would be frequently utilized often within my small community library, if at all. I found it very interesting the way the author chose to draw a line in the sand between HSP (highly sensitive people) and empaths. I have been called both in this lifetime. So again, there's gold within, but it feels elitist even for a very specialized niche book in nonfiction.

A beautiful look though how to utilize your inner light in life and how to make your life brighter. Pun intended. Journal prompts to guide you through the seasons. I felt like this book SPOKE to me. I always felt I was an empath. This book validated and walked me through how to get though it. Highly recommend. Especially loved the reflection to true life to humanize my feelings and relate. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Healed Empath is a great book to give a better understanding of empaths and ways that can help you cope and better deal with the difficulties that come with being an empath.

I've never been sure if I'd class myself as an empath but I found the book very interesting and helpful regardless. It's nice to read something that at times is very relatable and the way everything is explained and each of the tips are described makes it an easy read and one that would be helpful for an empath or even for someone who knows an empath to give a better understanding.

The book is split into different sections which make it easy to find what you're looking for in the book if you wanted a quick look and the way it's laid out is lovely with pretty coloured pages separating each chapter and a line picture every now and then which gives it a nice look. I found the section on intuition particularly interesting and I like how it gives you tips to improve intuition which I'll definitely have a go at.

This is a great book that is very useful to understand empaths and helps by suggesting some tips to try to improve your life and have a better understanding of why you feel the way you do.

I enjoyed this and have read a few books about being an empath and how to manage it amongst the world.

I appreciate the illustrations and exercises. This is definitely a book I would refer back to and work my way through a couple times - as it's titled it is a guide and it really is there to guide you through.
