This is the first time Sean Coleman and I have crossed paths but it won't be the last. Restitution, by John A. Daly is one of the more intense, tension filled thrillers I've read in some time. Being the fifth Coleman thriller, a lot has transpired to make Restitution what it is but Daly sums it up quite nicely in beginning. Because of his summation, Restitution can be read as a standalone but probably better to read the previous books first. I do wish Daly had addressed more of Coleman's backstory, mainly focusing on how he knows what to do in these situations.

Daly's characters all feel well developed and familiar. I think everyone has a friend or acquaintance like Dusty and if you don't, then you're probably the Dusty of the group.

While I have a few questions, Restitution was a thrilling read with likable good guys, truly awful bad guys and enough action and tension to keep you up at night. I'm looking forward to learning more about Sean Coleman, both past and in the future.

My thanks to John A. Daly, BQB Publishing, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of Restitution.

This, the fifth book in the series makes me want to go back and learn more about what makes Sean. Coleman “tick”. A very intriguing character finds himself in Vegas for a buddy’s bachelor celebration when he re-connects with an old flame. Then things head south as he has to survive a confrontation with some really bad guys.
