A modern-day twist to the Hatfield and McCoy feudal theme has landed in a paranormal cozy mystery to make for one dynamic wedding themed story! Someone is out to stop the wedding by killing or scaring off the wedding planner and with Mia stepping in to do the job, she may just be the next victim if the gang doesn't get it figured out. This one has it all with magic, witches, shifters, wedding drama and parents of the couple who would rather fight than toast! An entertaining story that needs to be on your must-read list! If you haven't started this series yet, you absolutely should! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!

I enjoyed this book in the series. I like the characters and the mystery is always entertaining. Will the poor cat ever be in his body by himself?

Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for my eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This cozy was fun. Mia, caterer and witch, takes on a new challenge: wedding planning! The usual wedding planning high jinks are elevated by the fact that this wedding is supernatural and starts with a murder.

Quick note: I recommend reading this series in order, because a larger story is building from one book to the next. Plus, it is a great series!

This is the third installment of the series and each just gets better and better. Mia expands her list of service by taking on a magical wedding as their replacement wedding planner.

Unfortunately, it appears there are some that do not want the wedding to take place. Items have been cancelled, the previous wedding planner is killed after her replacement has been hired, and more nefarious incidents occur.

Ms. Cahoon has well developed characters, a great plot with plenty of twists, and just a lovely writing style. If you haven’t read anything by her, I suggest you give her a try.

I am looking forward to the next installment. I was given an advanced copy and am not required to leave a positive review.

The third full book in the series, Three Tainted Teas, was a great read. The main character, Mia, is VERY likeable and her friends are as well. She has a new and solid relationship with a supportive guy, Trent. The relationship is still flirty and new, but there isn’t tons of slow, back-and-forth drama to read through, which is a nice change from many cozy mysteries. Her work assistant/friend/mentee, Christina, is an interesting character that you really root for (her boyfriend too).

The mystery is a good one, with LOTS of new and interesting characters to wonder about. Mia is filling in at the last minute for a wedding planner. The bride and groom’s families do not like one another, and the magical twist to the story is a good one. The magic aspect doesn’t overtake the book/series; the characters and relationships are what make this series wonderful to read. I’m looking forward to the next in the series! I can’t get enough of Mia and her friends.

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington for this wonderful ARC and in return I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review and opinion. I will post this review to my blog, Goodreads, Bookbub, & Amazon accounts on the publication date, 4/26/22.

I really enjoyed Three Tainted Teas, although the mystery of "whodunit" was pretty easy to figure out before it was revealed. The "why" it was done wasn't as simple to decipher.
When Mia Malone is hired for her first job as a wedding planner, she quickly discovers that it isn't as easy as it looks. Then, of course, the feuding families of the bride and groom make it more difficult. When Mia tries to get the contracts from the planner who was fired for embezzling, she finds the woman dead in her hotel room, looking as if she were attacked by a wild animal.
Mia decides that she must help solve this mystery, because the sheriff is clueless about the paranormal lives of both families. If she doesn't help, he will never figure it out - and she may be the next victim.

I am happy to say that the author kept me entertained and wanting to finish the book.

The Kitchen Witch series is lovely. Three Tainted Teas is the third book in the series and unfortunately, I have not read the first two. I definitely suggest reading them in order. It seems that there is a continuing storyline that connects all the past and future books in the series. As a result, I occasionally felt lost while reading those sections of the story. The plot of this book was great, however. I enjoyed the hint of magical elements and the characters were easy to read and relate to. Wedding planning nightmares, family feuds, and lots of possible suspects for the murder kept me absorbed. Mia Malone, our main character, was a delightful heroine. Her motivations for her actions were reasonable and I enjoyed her developing relationship with Trent.
I will be starting from the beginning with this series as It is very well done and I would like to catch all the details about the school that I missed.

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Publishing for the arc.

Three Tainted Teas is the 3rd book in Lynn Cahoon's Kitchen Witch Mysteries and they keep getting better and better. Mia Malone owns a catering business and cooking school, Mia's Morsels. Mia and her grandmother, Grans are Kitchen Witches who help people with potions and food. The characters are very likable and the mystery is interesting. In this book, Mia accepts a job as Wedding Planner when the previous Wedding Planner is fired and then is killed. Mia is a suspect.. She doesn't have much time to coordinate all the details for the wedding and fix all the problems! With help from Mia's assistant Christina, Mia's boyfriend Trent, Grans, Trent's brother Levi and mother Abigail, they manage to throw a wedding together. The bride's and groom's parents don't get along and they are very demanding. The characters make this paranormal cozy mystery so very enjoyable. There is family, friendship, humor, clean romance , and an interesting mystery that kept me guessing. It is exactly what I look for in a cozy mystery! #NetGalley #ThreeTaintedTeas #LynnCahoon #KensingtonBooks

I have seriously fallen in love with these characters and the backstop setting of Magic Springs!
This book hits home, being a past caterer, and watching Mia go through all the steps of putting together a business, while trying to be a good granddaughter, a pal and mentor to Christina, and potential girlfriend to Trent.

Between my instant connection to Mia and the idea of owning an entire school as her home and storefront - my heart just swooned and is now craving a book four. Seriously, how am I going to wait til next year for another installment?

Anyways, Lynn Cahoon has me guessing all the way to the end. Even after the murderer was revealed, I went back and forth trying to see what clues I missed and still never wrapped my head about correctly solving the crime. Bravo, Lynn. You have an auto buy reader for life.

Thank you, Kensington and Netgally for an opportunity to enjoy this sneak peak and advanced readers copy of Tree Tainted Teas.

Wouldn't we all love a protective amulet from Mia's Gran? Since Mia was simply looking for ways to expand her business and pay for the unending expense of renovating an old building, I rather doubt she thought she'd need one, however. Of course, she should have known taking on the magical wedding between a witch and a werewolf wouldn't be easy, especially with the cantankerous, meddlesome families involved but she certainly wasn't expecting murder on the menu. Yet, surprise, Mia. The previous wedding planner, only recently fired that you replaced, is found gruesomely murdered. Does that detour Mia? Of course not. She has her own powers, not to mention her Gran's -amulet and Trent to keep her safe. Trent's mother even makes an appearance, serving as a last- minute wedding cake decorator. We've seen glimpses of her magical abilities in the past but given that this surely isn't her last appearance I'm sure we'll see much, much more of her in the future. We even get a glimpse of what is really behind Trent's "I'm just a human" insistence, another aspect of Magic Town to be further explored, I'm sure. In other words, this novel potentially sets up future novels. The ending surely is setting us up for Mia's next, uh, encounter with murder.

As for this one, while I'm sure having some familiarity with the series would add to a reader's understanding of what is going on, both magical and non-magical, this book can easily be read as a stand-alone. That said, it was fun to see characters from previous stories drop in, including Dorothy from the last one I read. Seems ghost Dorothy is a bit bored in the afterlife and enjoys visiting Mia and friends. Somehow, given that the characters just accept all the magical stuff as normal, it doesn't seem in the least odd to have a ghost drop by to visit nor a werewolf flirting with Mia. I'm amazed Mia's policeman friend seems oblivious to it all but, hey, it is magic. I might note, he really doesn't peg Mia as a suspect as the blurb might otherwise indicate.

Bottom line, if you enjoy books with a bit of paranormal, whether it be ghosts or witches and werewolves, not to mention poisonous spells and amulets, you'll thoroughly enjoy meeting these characters and spending some time with them. Thank you #NetGalley and #KensingtonBooks for inviting me to the wedding.

Three Tainted Teas is the
third installment of the Kitchen Witch Mysteries. In this book Mia Malone ventures into the world of wedding planning.

Amethyst and Tok's original wedding planner was caught stealing and was fired so Mia was hired to step in. What she didn't know is that someone was trying to sabotage the wedding. First the original wedding planner is murdered, then Mia finds out that many of the vendors received phone calls cancelling their contracts. Mia thought this was the doing of the original wedding planner until she realized the calls were made after her death.

So who is trying to sabotage the wedding and will Mia live to see the job through?

While this series is best enjoyed read in order, this book is so exciting that anyone who enjoys paranormal mysteries or the adventure of planning a wedding will also love turning each page.

Mia Malone lives and works in an old schoolhouse. Not the type of schoolhouse where all the grades were held together in one room. This place has a personality and ghostly presence all its own.
When a friend of Mia's assistant Christina persuades them to get involved in a wedding involving two wealthy families that don't seem at all compatible, they end up in a combination of Romeo and Juliet and The Hatfields and McCoys.
Where to duck and cover and how to withdraw gracefully when the wedding is less than weeks away?
Plus the money is "can't say no to."

The magic flies and danger comes right to Mia's doorstep as she has to undo damage done by the previous wedding planner and someone else. But who?
There are people on both sides who don't want this marriage to happen.

The characters are wonderful and their own relationships are growing in each book.
I love the world building and imagery. I wish I could attend this wedding.
Although the animals remain in the background for this adventure, they do have some influence.

Pick it up, enjoy and read all the previous books so you are ready for whatever comes next.

I was given a free e-copy of this novel by NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Business is bubbling at Mia’s catering service and cooking school, Mia’s Morsels, but toil and trouble are not far behind. Mia just accepted her toughest gig yet: last-minute wedding planner for Magic Springs’ own Romeo and Juliet. Though the small town is fairly accepting of magic, two families have been locked in a vicious feud spanning generations. Unfortunately for both families, they’re about to become in-laws! Amethyst and Tok are excited to wed in a few weeks and somehow Mia must ensure the event is flawless.

But when she goes to pick up paperwork from the couple’s previous wedding planner, Mia discovers the woman murdered in an apparent attempt to stop the contentious union. Now, not only is Mia a prime suspect, as the new planner she may also be the killer’s next target. Backed by her squad, her charms—literal and figurative—and a protective amulet from her Grans, it’s up to Mia to save the star-crossed couple’s wedding, her professional reputation…and maybe even her life! (NetGalley synopsis)

I have read all of Lynn Cahoon’s Kitchen Witch Mystery series, both novels and novellas, and I absolutely adore them. I find the novels to be quick and fun reads for all seasons. I especially love the recipes in the back. I was slightly disappointed because I expected a tea and scones type recipe at the end. I don’t know much about peach crisps so maybe that’s what it is. Please let me know if I’m wrong here.

I love Mia and Trent’s relationship. I felt this novel was a mix of plot and character driven, because it wasn’t just Mia and Trent that the readers got to experience. There were plenty of glimpses at Christina and Levi, and we finally were introduced to the Majors mother, Abigail. I do hope that future novels introduce the rest of the Majors family. The father was mentioned but there weren’t any descriptive scenes with him or the other brother. The interaction and discussions from two different witch families, and one human, were interesting, too. It was easier for me to see that Mia and Trent were almost starting their own scion, which reminded me of another paranormal series.

The other personality trait I like about Mia is her determination. She is absolutely certain that she will get Mia’s Morsels up and running. Which is a sentiment that she brings into the wedding planning. She is warned over and over about the two families and how they act, but she takes charge, making everything run smoothly for Amethyst and Tok. I wish I had half of her determination and will power.

The mystery was even more particular to this type of genre than in previous novels. With a witch and shifter wedding, and the feud attached to their histories, I felt that Mia (and the reader) were beginning to get into the mysteries of the school and Mia’s own family. The author leaves a wonderful set up into the next novel, but I do hope that we (the readers) get to learn more about Magic Springs’ paranormal connections. It seems like there is much potential for future novels just waiting for the author to expand on.

I will give away one spoiler and that is that I feel the synopsis is wrong in one fact. No where in the novel was Mia ever a prime suspect. I believe that these things are added to the synopsis because someone thinks it will draw in attention, but I feel that it is redundant as each novel’s synopsis has something similar. It was nice to go through the book without Mia being scrutinized by the police every time something happened.

Overall I rate this novel 5 out of 5 stars.

Three Tainted Teas was a fun read. I have read this series from the beginning. The story takes place in a town called Magic Springs. Mia Malone is the main character who owns Mia's Morsels, a catering company. She is also a witch who can see ghosts. The supporting characters add a lot to this story. Cassandra Uzzi asks Mia to take over as wedding planner for her daughter's wedding as they have fired their planner, Chelsea Bachman. Their daughter, Amethyst is marrying Tok McMann. Mia has never been a wedding planner but says she will do it. This is a wedding between two families one a witch and the other is shape shifting wolves (werewolves). The wedding takes place at The Lodge. The two families don't seem to get along. There is someone who does not want this wedding to happen. Mia goes to the lodge to meet with Chelsea to get the papers needed of things that have been done. Mia goes to her room at the lodge and finds Chelsea murdered in her bed. Things start to happen wjith spells, arrests, suspicion, poisons, threats, etc. The wedding comes to a surprised conclusion.

To thank everyone who helped her with the wedding, Mia takes them to Time for a Cuppa for tea owned by Mahogany Medford.. While there Mahogany asks Mia if she can find out why her mother died. This is probably the next advent;ure in this series

Thank you NetGalley and Kenington Publishing Corp for this ARC.

Three Tainted Teas by Lynn Cahoon (Kitchen Witch #3) 5 stars

Mia Malone's catering business, Mia's Morsels is doing well, but she could always use more business since her renovated building needs constant maintenance. She agrees to replace a fired wedding planner for a high profile wedding - shades of Romeo and Juliet Magic Springs style. The union of a witch and a werewolf is fraught to unruly participants, sabotage by the former planner and objections from family members. Can Mia pull this wedding off without more mayhem and bodily harm to herself and friends. It doesn't help when she discovers the body of the fired wedding planner. Can Mia solve the crime and pull off the wedding?

The was a page turner through and through. I enjoyed seeing Mia take charge of the wedding and mediating between the parents of the bride and groom. She ran that wedding like a well oiled machine and manages to solve the crime at the same time. It was great to see all the familiar characters rally around Mia and accomplish the wedding tasks with aplomb. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

What could go wrong at a wedding between a shifter and a witch? Everything it seems, including killing off the wedding planner in this addition to Lynn Cahoon's paranormal series. Loveable characters, small town atmosphere, and plenty of surprises. Very enjoyable.

When the wedding planner is fired a week before the wedding, Mia Malone is asked to take over, but someone would rather the wedding didn't take place at all. When the former planner is murdered, Mia has to keep the wedding on target and discover the murderer. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It works well as a standalone. The characters are fun, and the plot kept my attention.
