It's lovely to continue a series with a carryover of so many characters you're familiar with. These delightful beach reads will charm you right into reading them. Set on the beautiful Martha's Vineyard, you will hear the waves crashing and feel the mist on your face as you're out walking. We've met famous author of mystery books and Vineyard Inn proprietor Annie Sutton in the past books. She is excited to be soon tying the knot with police sergeant John Lyons. Her biggest concern is how to wear the wedding dress his family expects her to wear. Wedding dresses are supposed to be beautiful, feminine and make you feel happy and wonderful, this does none of these. A baby that she rescued off of her porch several years ago is now missing and everything shifts from the importance of her wedding dress to the missing child. What has happened to the child, who would want to take her? A mystery, a romance and some family drama. This was as good as all the other books in this series.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.
This is a new to me author and I have to say I am looking forward to reading more by this author! I loved this book
This is bo0k 5 in the Vineyard series. It is an easy read for fans of a nice wholesome romance. Annie is busy as usual and has discovered the family vintage wedding dress is ugly as sin. When young Bella goes missing all plans are set aside as the family and town search for the toddler. You may need some context from previous books to keep track of some of the story lines. With everything going on, Annie is having doubts about her wedding to John, just weeks away. Thankfully a happy ending but fodder for another book. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
A Vineyard Wedding by Jean Stone is the fifth book in the Vineyard series. Our main character, Annie is once again in the midst of way too much going on! She is planning for her wedding, dealing with all sorts of family issues and she is offered a deal to turn her books into a movie. To top it all off her wedding dress is seriously ugly and she is not ready for the Christmas craft show. Once again, we are on Annie’s roller coaster of a ride called life. She is constantly trying to figure out how to solve her dilemmas when the biggest problem of all showed up!
I have enjoyed reading the series by Jean Stone. Her main character of Annie is a fascinating character with a huge heart and way too much on her plate all the time! I love John as her love interest and how he tries to keep her grounded. I do think it is funny that in each book, they are planning or at least talking about planning a wedding. The book reads quickly and the characters are well known, so that does not slow down the story line. A Vineyard Wedding by Jean Stone is a good read.
Interesting Summer read, either as the latest book in the series or as a stand alone. Lots going on with the characters, in addition to a much anticipated wedding (an ugly wedding dress) Definitely kept my interest. Some mystery which added to the wonderful location and interesting characters.
A Vineyard Wedding by Jean Stone is the 5th book in the Vineyard series. This has been a really enjoyable series to read, it's like a little mini getaway vacation with just the right amount of adventure for me! Annie has a lot going on and a lot of decisions to make including what to do about the world's ugliest wedding dress, a new book coming out, a potential TV series, her upcoming wedding, bettering her relationship with her soon to be stepdaughter Abigail, the Christmas craft show, & some friends worrysome troubles. All of these things pale in comparison when two-year-old Bella goes missing and everyone joins in the search. Who took Bella? Will she be found safely? Annie, John, and their friends put everything on the back burner as they search for Bella. Will they also find answers to all of their other "problems"? Taking place in the idyllic setting of Martha's Vineyard, all is not ideal at the moment. Can they overcome, compromise, and find ideal solutions? Love the setting, love this series!
I love Martha's Vineyard, and this Vineyard-set series is a fun way to visit! While this book continues to build upon the previous ones, it can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone. The characters are interesting, and the story and mystery keep the plot moving along. There is some poor decision-making by the main character, which irks me, but I still really liked this one, and look forward to reading what comes next! Thanks to Netgalley and Kensington Books for the advance digital copy!
Annie and John are finally getting married, despite the best efforts of his awful daughter Abagail. Annie, a best selling author, also owns the Vineyard Inn while John is police sergeant. No one is making this easy- even her wedding dress is, well, awful but then something happens that makes everything else seem small. Two year old Bella goes missing. Everyone turns out to help find her but there's more drama behind the scenes than Annie and John know at first. While this is the latest in a series, it will be perfectly fine as a standalone. It's got a great Vineyard setting and is imbued with the spirit of community. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. It's all about family and it's got a big heart. Looking forward to what comes next.
Thank you NetGalley, Jean Stone and Kensington Books for the ARC of A Vineyard Wedding. This is my personal review.
The story has Annie finally just a few short days from marrying John Lyons.
Things are not as she had hoped they would go for her – what to do with the ugliest wedding dress to a missing person.
Having the story setting on Martha’s Vineyard is as perfect as every other book in the series. It felt good to be back and to again be taken into the lives of all the people in the story.
This is one of my this is one of my favorite cozy series (this is book 5), as it sort of tongue in cheek with a mystery writer being the subject of Chiclet cozy! It's taking a while or John and Annie to get to their wedding as things keep popping up you know little things like murders! LOL but now that it's here there are surprises galore and yes even more problems. Will they make it to their actually wedding date and location or will mother nature and other calamities arise? This is a fun series and I hate to give too much away, but if you love the series you'll love this entry, and if you're new to the series it's an interesting start. It's a good perfect spring read and don't miss it!
Anne Sutton is getting married to John but John's daughter will do anything to stop the wedding. some mystery, some romance, good story.
Life on the Vineyard rolls along as Annie tries to rein in her scattered thoughts and make some decisions. Like what to do about the world's ugliest wedding dress. And how to become friends with her fiance's older daughter. And whether to say yes to a TV deal that would take a lot of her time but make her rich. But everything flies out the window when her beloved Bella disappears from the inn. The islanders rally to search for the two year old but tempers fray and hope dims as the days go by with no trace of her. I love the relationships of the islanders and their support for one another. This story is heavy on suspense and some interesting backstories come to light. I am more than ready for the next Vineyard story.
This entire series has a lot of depth and this latest (and final?) installment is a perfect addition. It has plenty of drama, mystery, loving family and friends, a few tears, and some laughs. I loved it! While it could be read as a stand alone, reading the entire series makes it much more complete.
Engaging romance and mystery. I have read only one other book in this series. I should go back to enjoy all of the adventures on Martha's Vineyard. It probably does make it more entertaining for me to have visited the island many years ago, so the setting is familiar. I look forward to the next one.
I loved a Vineyard Wedding! Annie & John's wedding is coming up soon, plans have been made, and his mother has offered the family heirloom wedding gown. The annual Christmas bazar is about to happen, with typical New England weather as well. John's older daughter, Abigail, is creating havoc, thus, life on MV & Chappy is back.
When Bella goes missing, everyone is distraught, and finding her is the main focus of the island. Twists, turns, "could it be so & so". I actually skimmed ahead to find out what had happened, then went back & read at a more normal pace. Completely missed how she could be with who she was.
Plot twist in the last chapter, leaves me looking forward to the next book. Many thanks to NetGalley, Jean Stone & Kensington Books for the pre-read in exchange for an honest review.
This book was sent to me electronically for review by Netgalley. It is a quick read with characters that are likable, but I just could not get involved in the dynamics of the story. Perhaps others will. Try it and see.
The author makes us feel as if we are right there on Martha's Vineyard in A Vineyard Wedding.
Annie is just days away from her long-awaited marriage to John Lyons police sergeant. Things go wrong as she deals with the dress, a missing person and a sleuth of other mishaps that are making her special day not so special.
A great storyline and one you will enjoy reading I'm certain.
