I don't usually like sports, but I make an exception for women's sports.
This was such an informative read and I liked the style it was written in. It was also an easy to understand read. Cronn-Mils covered a lot of different athletes and accompanied the information with pictures, which I appreciated.
This nonfiction book was well researched covered a lot. I would definitely consider reading this book again or buying this book in the future.

A well researched and well laid out look at the difficulties of gender inequality in sports, predominantly in the US. This is, of course, an ever evolving topic, but the book is eye-catching and interesting.

This book was a quick read that was pretty informative about gender and sports. I know I have personally benefitted from Title IX, so I enjoyed learning more about Title IX and how it has been interpreted throughout the years. There was a lot of discussion about how transgender women should be able to compete in women's sports. There was no discussion of transgender men, which is something people ignore when talking about transgender people competing in sports.

The formatting on this file was hard to read. I did see that there was a lot of useful information included. There were lots of interesting pictures in color that aligned with the information. The information was also well organized. This would make a great addition to a library or be a good resource for a school project or even just to learn more about the subject.

Very informative, yet easy to read. I learned about title IX, equity and equality, women athletes. I would recommend to young adults or adults.
Note: I received a free ARC via Net Galley in exchange for honest review. I am voluntarily reviewing.

Wow. What an absolutely fantastic and thought provoking read. As a former athlete (and as a woman), gender inequality in sports is a topic I hold very close to my heart. Despite growing up in a world that provided more opportunities to women than previous generations, it was interesting to read about many of the inequalities women still face in sports today. My alma mater was even mentioned in this novel regarding an ongoing lawsuit, and I had no clue that was happening (despite being a student enrolled there at the time)! I learned so much from reading this book, and I think others will learn a lot from it too. Title IX is quite relevant for future women, and I think this book broke it down and explained the intricacies of it in a digestible and effective way. The fight for not only equality but equity is prevailing, and exploring numerous examples through this novel aids in the fight for achieving these things.
