Love on the Run is a sweet novella that is perfect for anyone who loves a good Valentines day story.

What I loved:
-Meet Cute, who wouldn't want to hop into a Lyft while running from a family/friends and find out its a super attractive bar owner
-Blaze, he is a grump who has been hurt before but when he is around Lily he allows himself to feel again and just all the heart eyes
-Dogs, I loved that both Blaze and Lily have dogs that they talk their problems out with since I do that with my pets ALL THE TIME
-Dates, the story involves dates based on Lily's podcast/blog and they sounded amazing. Bowling, a cooking class and a gala all in one week sounds like a lot of fun and a great way to get to know someone

Overall I really enjoyed this quick story and really the biggest thing I didn't like is that it just wasn't long enough. If you are looking for a short and sweet grumpy/sunshine Valentines themed romance I would absolutely recommend you pick this book up.

This is a great book about finding yourself again after becoming complacent and forgetting yourself and what love should feel like.

This checked off everything I look for in a book. Was not disappointed. Really enjoyed this book. I will read more from this author. Must read.

Love on the Run has to be one of the funniest books I have read this year, absolutely what I needed after my crime reading binges.
Lily Hart is on her way to meet her boyfriend Henry, problem is she doesn't think she's in love with him. Well she doesn't know what really love is, which is ironic because she is a relationship blogger. So when she arrives to meet Henry and see's all her family there and him about to propose she cannot think of anything worse, especially as she was going to end things with him. She escapes in a taxi, drives around for hours and does the drivers head in. What she doesn't realise is that her taxi driver Blaze and her will find themselves bumping into each other again and yes again. is it fate?
or just a real bad joke the universe is playing on them?

I got through this book so quickly I honestly cannot even explain how funny this book was, at one point I thought i might hyperventilate with the amount of laughing I was doing. Lily is one of those characters you can't help but love, the terrible proposal, the hilarious date, the taxi driver and everything in between is all just a mess. Honestly she is the definition of a hot mess. I also love Blaze he was a funny not quite a hot mess but let's be honest he just hides it well, he's single and lonely but doesn't seem to have any interest in dating and definitely doesn't have an interest in dating Lily. Blaze is too busy pouring all his energy into his dream bar, he thinks that the concept of love is stupid and has no interest in it at all. But this is a romantic comedy so let's be honest we all know where it is going.
Both Lily and Blaze are great characters and they bounce of each others energy which is great to read. Lily shouts 'go, go, go' and his reaction to this is the reason I carried reading I won't spoil it because it is so funny.

This is the first time I've read a book by this author and I promise you it won't be the last, the way she writes is so clever that she had me laughing in one minute and wanting to cry the next, She manages to keep the reader captive with these real relatable characters. How many people measure their success in a relationship against that of their peers. Or find themselves in loveless relationships so that they can just be in something. I just thought the premise was relatable, yes elements a little far fetched but I didn't mind that. I think this story would work so well on screen too so here's hoping it's commissioned into a movie as I would be first in line to get tickets.
Oh and I haven't mentioned the best character of the book yet, this is Lily's gran. If you are read this book make sure you do not drink or eat when the gran is present because I choked on my dinner she was so funny. The kind of gran we all secretly need doesn't give a dam about what she says or where she says it. she's old and her entire attitude is what my old lady dreams are made of.

Honestly I don't want to put too much here because it will spoil the fun of this book. What I will say is that if you enjoy a romcom then this is the book for you, It's hilarious from start to finish and also it pulls on your heart strings. I enjoyed the story from both POV and I found I couldn't put it down, It's probably my favourite book in this genre I've read over the last few years. It's an easy and quick read yet its relatable. I hope there's a series as I'm so invested in their story I want to know what happens next!! This was an easy 4.5 stars rounded down to 4 stars. I recommend to anyone who knows how to read :D

I ended up dnf this book, because it was just lacking in so many places, and it was badly written for me.
I didn’t like the dialogue, it didn’t seem true enough and way to cliche, which the part of the book I read also was.
I hated the main character’s monologues and conversations with her dog, Lola. At first they were fine and didn’t bother me, but they kept coming and that was just to much for me.
And the relationship between the main character and her boyfriend was just so wrong, and I get that he needed to be portrayed bad for the story. But it was just as much the way she said that it was “a perfect love life” when he literally hated her dog (giant red flag) and they couldn’t agree on anything. That is just way to unrealistic, no one I know that has animals will ever be with someone that doesn’t like them!

Love on the Run is a lighthearted read about Lily, an ever-so optimistic romantic, and Blaze, a love cynic. Being a novella, the story unfolds quickly and there are bits to love in this opposites attract romance. That said, the story does evolve too quickly, if not conveniently. I was a bit disappointed with the final edit - there were quite a few errors in punctuation and I didn’t enjoy the voices switching between first and third person. Consistency would have led to it being an easy read. Overall, I give it 3 stars, closer to a 2.5. It was an easy and sweet read with fun and happy moments. For someone who loves love like Lily, it was enjoyable.

Lily Hart is a romantic at heart and has her own podcast. When Lily is setting up an event for work and is then proposed to by her boyfriend, she comes to the decision that she doesn't want to be with him. After breaking up with him, she hops a ride with ride share driver, Blaze. The two go on a comedic ride while the readers tag along.

Relationship podcaster Lily Hart is a total romantic who loves love, at least until she realizes that she's not actually in love with her "perfect" boyfriend Henry. Fleeing the scene of Henry's public proposal a few days before Valentine's Day, Lily meets Lyft driver Blaze Steel and attempts to convince him to fill in as her date at the couples event she's hosting over the weekend, which has been heavily promoted on her podcast. At first, grumpy Blaze turns her down because he thinks chatty Lily is annoying, but they keep running into each other, and he eventually gives in. Can spending Valentine's Day together as fake dates lead to a real love connection?

"Love on the Run" had the potential to be a really cute, funny story; unfortunately, it fell flat in the execution. I found Lily to be overly dramatic and frankly rather annoying at times. She never seemed to shut up, even when she was alone. It was like she was always performing for an audience. There were also a number of bothersome plot and timeline inconsistencies, as well as details that just didn't make sense. For example, why was Lily's dog "purring" at one point? Finally, the story was in desperate need of further editing to address problems with punctuation and awkward, run-on sentences. The narration also randomly changed from first person to third person in the middle of several chapters, or from Lily's POV to Blaze's POV, without being labeled. It was incredibly confusing to follow at times. (To be fair, I read an advance review copy, so some of these issues may have been addressed prior to publication.)

Bottom line, I really wanted to like this story, but unfortunately, I can't recommend it. It's a shame because the author seems to have good story ideas. I hope she'll try again in the future.

This romance did not do it for me. I found the heroine a bit too infatuated with the concept of love and her podcast. She's too chatty as well and it made the novel drag. The hero was the total opposite and also bland. I didn't feel the chemistry between them. Just not what I was expecting.

I wanted to love this, I really did. Sadly, I did not. I felt like the writing was juvenile and there was not enough character and plot development.

A fast, lighthearted read that was easily finished in an hour. As someone who's said no when being proposed to, I could relate to Lily's dilemma about love! The premise is cute, but the book is too rushed for any real chemistry to build between Lily and Blaze.

It was a short, light and fun read, which made me laugh out loud a couple times. However, there were inconsistencies in the timeline and the heroine's family got on my nerves quite often. There wasn't a lot of character development (understandable as it is a novella).

This was a fun quick read following Lily Hart, a romantic and podcast/video host of Love Lily. Lily is preparing for her Valentine's weekend event with a few listeners where she has set up cute romantic events each night that the participants will share with her and her boyfriend. However, Lily realizes that her boyfriend is not who she wants to spend the rest of her life with and plans to break up with him and ends up happening on the night he proposes in front of all their family and friends. Lily instantly runs away and begins the first of many interactions with Blaze, a shared ride service driver. Fate had plans for these two and we observe their random interactions at times not the best look for Lily in a few situations. We watch them use each other for their own personal advantages but as any romantic comedy always does....these two find they are meant for each other.

I really enjoyed this read. It's cute, funny, sweet and light.
Being a Novella, it's too short to do a ton of world building or character development, but tbh I didn't feel like anything was missing. This is a really enjoyable read, a really cute story and great main characters.

Lily is the host of a successful podcast about love, and meets Blaze in an Uber as she runs away from a difficult situation with her now ex-boyfriend. The two embark on a journey together despite Blaze's less-than-favorable first (and second) impressions of Lily.

I unfortunately struggled a bit to get through this one. It was difficult to become invested in the characters and, as a result, in their love story. I typically am drawn to plot-driven rather than character-driven narratives, but found myself wishing for depth and likeability to the characters. I also had some trouble with the structure of the perspective switches -- some sort of indication would've been helpful rather than starting sections with first-person narratives and sharing person-specific details later on in the next paragraph or so. The writing is lovely but overall pacing and characterizations were not for me.

Okay, the blurb of the book sounded interesting, and to be honest, I fell for Debbie Macomber's mention in the description.

Well, no, it's nothing like Debbie Macomber stories. I didn't connect with the main protagonists. Characterization is weak, plus I didn't feel any chemistry between the so called romantic pair.
There are too many dialogues. At times, it feels the story is going nowhere. I didn't really enjoy the story. I'm really disappointed.
