If you love Janet Evanovich, you’ll love this book. Kiss ass female main character, great fun and adventure, funny and all the stuff that Janet is famous for.

Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for the eARC. #netgalley #recoveryagent

Janet has done it again. If you like Stephanie Plum you will enjoy reading about Gabriela Rose. Gabriela is Stephanie, if Stephanie had any luck, was able to act cool, or if she had access to money. There are so many aspects of both Gabriela's and Stephanie's lives that mirror each other. However Gabriela knows how to bring the action. She is very much invested in recovering whatever needs to be found. Her relationship with Rafer is one that is witty and easy to get sucked into. You will not be wanting for action when reading this book. So buckle up and be swept away on an adventure to find a lost pirates treasure.

Thank you to Atria Books and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this text.

It is impossible for Janet Evanovich to write a book that is not totally fun. This is no exception. It's a new series, with an appealing new heroine, Gabriella Rose. Lots of adventure to keep you turning the pages. I look forward to recommending this to readers who enjoy her earlier books.

Although we met Gabriela as a small tease in an older Stephanie book, this is the first in a new series about her and her ex husband Rafer. I was intrigued by her character and couldn’t wait to read Recovery Agent. She does not disappoint, and the addition of her ex husband and their banter reminds me of the Fox and Hare series. I loved the characters, the story line not so much. I do look forward to the next in their series.

I loved it! It reads exactly like an action movie. It had lots of funny moments that weren't meant to be funny but were so funny! Gabriela is a tough gal who needs some rescuing herself but can shrug off the mishaps with a you win some/you lose some attitude. I appreciated that a lot. I only just discovered this fantastic author a year ago and I'm looking forward to catching up on all her series.

I'm sure this will be hugely popular. Unfortunately this author is not for me. ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.

I'm curious to see where this series goes. I enjoyed it very much and enjoyed the dialogue and quirky characters indicative of an Evanovich title. Annie, Gabs, and of course Rafer. I look forward to more titles!

Loved this! I'm very excited about this series. It's Stephanie Plum crossed with Lara Croft., fast paced, very likable characters, easily read by women or men and just a whole lot of fun to read!

OK well I loved the Stephanie Plum series. At least the first dozen or so. They were snarky and funny. After that it dragged on without resolution, became very repetitive, and I gave up. (at number 20). However I think I have had Janet Evanovich overload because I found this book a bit flat - the plot is sorta ordinary. Been done to death really. The characters did not grab me and the humorous bits were not particularly humorous. It was Okay but on the whole I am quite disappointed. Sorry Janet.

Mystery, madness, craziness and a little romance thrown in!

I have read some of Janet Evanovich’s work in the past and really enjoyed them, this book does not disappoint!

Gabriela’s job as a recovery agent puts her in some precarious positions and she is always traveling. When she is given an idea to find a hidden treasure to help save her home town the adventure definitely begins!

Rafer is Gabriela’s ex husband and has the key to the treasure in his house and when he says he wants to be a part of the adventure she lets him even though she questions herself.

Their adventure takes them all over the world, Peru to St Vincent back to Peru to CA and back to her home town, there is danger, and a madman as well as some friends that help them along the way

Definitely recommend this book!

If Stephanie Plum starred in Jungle Cruise, this is the book you'd get. Entertaining enough but not as good as the start of the Plum series was and I didn't need the high end name dropping everywhere. For those who liked the other series but want a different atmosphere and some international hijinks, this is the book for you!

Once again Janet Evanovich brings you another story filled with fun, unique and likeable characters. Meet Gabriela Rose in her own series. Gabriela and her ex-husband Rafer are out to find a lost treasured ring to try and save their childhood town that has been decimated by a hurricane. Adventure, hidden treasure, chemistry, side kicks full of sass and laughter, and of course always needed an element of evil contained in the story to keep you entertained. This author never disappoints in bringing you a laugh out loud good story. I enjoyed this light hearted, fun read, and hope we see Gabriela and Rafer in another book to follow.

I love Janet Evanovich! However, this book falls short for me. The plot seems to be hastily thrown together. I just hope the next book will be better.

I'm a huge Janet Evanovich fan, but honestly--this was a disappointment to me. It almost felt like someone else wrote the book and they slapped her name on it. Attempts at humor fell flat. The writing itself didn't feel right--it felt like someone with less skill than Janet wrote it. I hate leaving a less than stellar review, especially for an author I enjoy, but this book just didn't do it fo rme.

The characters were fine with humor and attitude this author is known for but I really dislikes the plot. If you enjoy archaeology you may enjoy it but I was bored other than in the 'action' sequence
Thank you netgalley and the publisher for this arc

Gabriella Rose--Stephanie Plum. Can you tell them apart? One kicks butt with aplomb, recovers items of value, is a weapons expert, has a nice apartment in Soho, and an ex hottie named Ranker who annoying calls her Gabs. The other kicks butt and mostly falls on her own, recovers people who have skipped on their bail, leaves her unloaded gun in her cookie jar, has a crap apartment in Trenton and a hottie called Joe who annoying calls her Cupcake.
It's Romancing the Stone only not as good. There's way too much over the top happenings--a drug lord who lends her his plane and provides useful bodyguards to name just two. I liked the Stephanie Plum series until it became the Stephanie Plum repeat series. This is just another way to say Stephanie Plum has undergone a makeover and become Gabriella Rose. It is not an improvement.

An enjoyable rom-com thriller with snappy one-liners, twists and turns and treachery at every turn, The Recovery agent is a modern twist on treasure hunting and piracy. Laughter mixed with danger is a potent combination to capture reader's attention while transporting them to exotic locales. Gabriela Rose is a strong female protagonist with a complete skillset and professional drive that is easy to root for, especially against the scary, cultish and relentless bad guys. All told, this is a fun start to a new series that has a lot of potential to grow and develop into something intriguing. Looking forward to seeing where Janet Evanovich takes Gabriela Rose and crew next.
