Mall You Need is Love is the second book in the At the Mall series. It was short and sweet with a cute meet between the main characters. Amara and Valentino’s idea of Valentine’s Day was extremely opposite. Amara thinks it is an over-commercialized holiday and Valentino sees it as a holiday that celebrates the love between couples. he is determined to change Amara’s outlook on the holiday. Can a woman who is cynical about love fall for the guy who loves romance? This is the perfect book if you are looking for something straightforward and it will leave you with a smile on your face.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is a cute rom-com that was also a good "palate cleanser" after all the thrillers I've read lately! Amara owns a retro video arcade in the mall and next-door neighbor Val has a break-in at his jewelry store which causes them to meet and form a "Neighborhood Watch." She's heard the rumors that he's a charming lothario , but she has enough confidence in herself to confront him...do you see where this is going? It's authentic and relevant so enjoy the sweet story as Robinson has plenty more in store for us!
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!
A Valentine's Day story of a jewelry store robbery and the noisy arcade next door. Not a long story but a good one.
Very Insta-lovey. But cute story and fun romance. The little twist at the end surprised me. But I enjoyed the story
I received a complimentary copy of Mall You Need is Love in exchange for an honest review. This was a short and sweet novella that packed a lot of plot development into a short story. I really enjoy Sarah Robinson's books and her writing style, and this was no different. I wished there was more character development leading into Valentino and Amara's past, and more about what happened to Marcos from the video arcade, but it didn't take away from the overall novel. Again, great short story if you want something cute and quick.
With all that is going on in the world right now, I am seeking out escapist books, and this quick read absolutely worked for me! Thanks for the opportunity to preview the title.
Mall You Need is Love is a really short Valentine's Day novella. It was a one sitting, sweet story of two people finding love and creating a family in the process. I wish it had been longer since I would have loved more character development for Mara and understanding more about why she was anti-love, etc. But it was a nice little read
Cute and kinda funny. When I think of romance, I think of books just like this one, that gives all the feels and satisfies every romance junkies' heart. This is a perfect books to snuggle up with on any day.
This was a cute novella. Amara owns a retro gaming arcade. When Valentinos jewelry stored is robbed. They are forced to work together to catch the culprit. Valentino has a bit of a reputation as a casanova , one which Amara is well aware of. When Amara witnesses how Valentino is with an older gentleman. She sees another side of him.As they spend time together can Valentino make the jaded Amara believe in love and have a happily ever after? Sarah Robinson writes an enjoyable romance. 2.5-3 stars. Mall You Need is Love is the first book I have read by Sarah Robinson. I am sorry to say that I didn't really enjoy this book as much as I wanted to. It is a very PG romance. I found it short, with some cute moments but not a great romance. No real romance happens and there is no build up or chemistry. There is one kiss at the end and it ends at 65% (8 chapters). The premise was cute but I found the execution fell short.
This was a short and sweet book that was adorable and just what I needed in a rom com. I am not always a fan of short rom coms cause a lot of time it feels like insta love but this book worked so well.
This was an adorable, sweet love story. It was just the pick-me-up that I needed! I would love to read more stories set in this world! Just what I wanted from a love story!
This was a quick and easy and cheesy novella that was an instant love story. This would be a great read for around Valentine's day which I will do next year.
I enjoy it. It felt quick and straight to the point. A very short romantic story and it did the job in giving positive emoions
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher/author for providing me with an e-copy in exchange for my honest review.
This book was exactly what I wanted it to be! I loved it. I will make sure to check out other books by this author. When I requested this I was just intrigued by the concept of it and I loved how it turned out. This story had a great plot and if you have read this and enjoyed it, This was so much. It was such a great story. I would say give this one a try. I will continue to follow this author. Way to go to this author for not letting me down.
A cute quick read. Very quintessentially Valentines.......................................................................
This was a very sweet story. Not at all what I expected, but I did enjoy it. Perfect for Valentine's Day.
Amara Hart owns a very noisy retro-style gaming arcade in the local shopping mall. Valentino Rossi owns the quiet jewelry store next door.
Amara Hart is jaded-by-love and wants nothing to do with candlelight and roses. Valentino Rossi believes in endless love and has made it his mission in life to help others express that love through romance and custom-made jewelry.
Valentino speaks to Amara with his jewelry. Amara speaks to Valentino through her Ms Pac Man game.
And opposites attract.
I really could have read an entire novel based in this world, as the small taste we got of Amara and Valentino just wasn't quite enough. Amara's business sounds like a lot of fun though, and I'd totally patronize it if it actually existed in real life.
A super cute quick read, I will be seeking out Sarah Robinson’s other work after enjoying this one.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for kindly gifting me this.
