Thank you to the author, publishers and NetGalley for allowing me to read this ARC with honesty.

Mall You Need is Love is a fun, short story about a jeweler who works hard at perfecting everything in his life and a arcade owner whose focus is on bringing joy to the children that visit for the games. Both lives intertwine when something unexpected (well maybe a little thanks to warnings of inadequate security systems) happens and Val's jewelry store is robbed. Things still unclear of just exactly how, both Val and Mara decide to team up to walk the late hours of the mall to be volunteer neighborhood crime watchers. As they spend more time together, they start realizing that there may be more between them then nemeses they always thought they were.

Fun, light read and HEA.

My only quip, it was just a tad rushed. But that's my only complaint.

My Rating: 3.5 stars (rounded up to 4)

Mall You Need Is Love by Sarah Robinson is a very cute Valentine's Day novella that begins with a noise complaint. Mara was used to those so she ignored it. The jeweler next door thought the sound of happy teens having fun was detrimental to his high-end jewelry business. Mara didn't agree. It was a typical day for her until the power went off. What the? She went to the storeroom and yanked open the circuit breaker box. Nothing was labeled and she had no idea what to do so she just flipped them all. That seemed to work. She gave all her customers a free token and life moved on. Until the police showed up: it seemed the jewelry store had been robbed. Maybe they got in through her storeroom. Maybe someone had thrown the breakers on purpose. The jewelry storeowner, Valentino Rossi, was not happy. She, he, and the police decided a neighborhood watch-type operation might be helpful and she and Val were first up, until the rest of the merchants were organized.

This was a cute book. The characters were as well developed as possible in a book this short. The plot was cute, and expected, mostly. Val turned out to be a nice guy, who surprised Mara, and Mara turned out to be exactly what Val needed. The arcade full of vintage video games was a clever business for Mara to run. It was easy to read, and definitely a happily-ever-after. Well done!

I was invited to read a free e-ARC of Mall You Need Is Love by the author. All thoughts and opinions are my won. #mallyouneedislove #sarahrobinson

This novella is the second book in Sarah Robinson’s At the Mall series of holiday-themed contemporary romance, but the story stands alone. It’s a cute story, and I liked both of the main characters, as well as the mall setting. The romance was a bit too rushed for my taste, but it was an enjoyable quick read. I particularly appreciated that Mara and Val were attracted to each other’s positive qualities and actions even more so than appearance.

The language is clean, there is no violence, and no sexual activity beyond kissing.

I received a free ARC through NetGalley, which I volunteered to review.

Sometimes I am in the mood for a light, fluffy, feel-good book to help me get into a better headspace or, in this instance, get in the mood for Valentine's Day. Mall You Need is Love hits all those marks for me.

Amara owns a retro arcade in the local shopping mall complete with vintage arcade games like Ms. Pac-Man and the like. Her snooty neighboring shop owner is always calling complaining about the noise of her patrons. After a robbery at her neighbor's store, she ends up forming a neighborhood watch at the mall with her charming Casanova of a neighbor. to help protect their stores and hopefully catch the thief before they strike again.

Like a Hallmark movie, the light, fluffy, low-drama, high-cheese factor was just what I needed on the cold dreary day I read this. Yes, Amara and Valentino's story is fairly insta-lovey and cheesy but, eh, I'm not mad about it. For the page count, the author gave us as much of a low drama love story as you can pack on such few pages.

I would categorize this as a pretty quick read with a steady pace. It's also a "clean read" in that there is only kissing and no smexy times elucidated on-page.

Mall You Need is Love is a quick, cute, Valentine's-themed, and light. The epilogue/ending gives you a definite feel-good HEA you need.

I truly wanted to love this but I had a hard time getting passed the cover. This couple on the cover is nearly identical to the couple on the cover of Penny Reid's new book "Ten Trends to Seduce Your Best Friend" which comes out in March.

This was a cute enemies to lovers rom com novella that was just what I needed. Amara and Val were funny with witty dialogue and fun supporting characters. The HEA was super sweet.

A good and typical story for the Valentine's Day period.
Two neighbors from stores in a Mall decide to find out about the thief who stole Valentino's jewelry, an incurable romantic, and who takes advantage of this time with Amara to show her that loving is still worth it.

Sarah Robinson’s Mall You Need is Love by is a cute, funny, and quick read. It’s a new adult, enemies-to-lovers, opposites-attract, Valentine’s Day novella told in dual-POV from two shop owners with stores next door to each other in the local shopping mall. Gamer Amara Hart owns a retro-style gaming arcade, and jewelry designer Valentino Rossi owns a jewelry store. Bitter and jaded from heartbreak and disappointment, Amara has given up on finding love, believing it doesn’t last. A total romantic who believes love is eternal and likes all things about romance, including silly love songs, gifts, candlelight dinners. Val’s life work is helping others express their love by picking out just the right gift for a loved one and selling his custom-made jewelry. Days before Valentine’s Day, Val’s store is robbed on his biggest sales day. Since the robbery might be connected with a blackout originating in her store, Amara agrees to help him out. When Val discovers that Amara hates all things love and romance, he plans to help her to have an unforgettable Valentine’s Day.

Based on noise complaints about her arcade from Val, rumors about his dating and heartbreaker exploits, and cynicism about romance, Amara develops preconceived notions that have her prepared to dislike Val before even meeting him. Other than calling her arcade to ask her to try and keep the noise down, Val doesn’t know much about Amara. At first, their interactions are antagonistic and confrontational, but a surprising, mutual, reluctant attraction simmers beneath the animosity. While spending an evening together on security patrol for the mall’s neighborhood watch, Amara and Val get to know each other better, pay it forward, compete for top scorer, and experience a hilarious, wild encounter. Before they know it, they're becoming friends.

Robinson develops her characters and story with colorful descriptions and sweet interactions filled with clever, humorous banter and dialogue. Though short, Mall You Need Is Love is a sweet, romantic, and entertaining Valentine’s Day love story about rediscovering hope and romance and opening your heart to love.

This lovely story about an arcade owner and the unapproachable Romeo that is a thorn in her side had me swooning.

When Val Rossi's jewelry store is burglarized and he loses the inventory he hoped would make or break his annual profit margin, he's determined to help the police catch the culprit. That means collaborating with the feisty woman who owns the arcade next door. Her security cameras are the only ones that may have captured the thief on film.

But Amara doesn't have security cameras. It's just something she could never justify in the budget because the back door to her space always stays locked. Until now. So she reluctantly agrees to help her neighbor track down his lost inventory. And he's not at all what she expected.

Val Rossi isn't the player she's been led to believe he is. Yes, he's unbelievably handsome. But he's not callous, and he isn't a Casanova. The more time they spend with each other, the more they want this Valentine's Day to include each other.

This was a sweet, clean, low steam rom com with plenty of banter and a great cast of side characters.

Fun Valentine-themed quickie. I did not realize just how short it was going to be when I got the NetGalley copy—under 100 pages.

Adorable cover! and cute story, but I was definitely hoping for more, even from a novella.

A cute little enemies to lovers story with an added element of having to work together to find the person behind a robbery. A really quick and fun valentine story that kept me hooked from start to finish, loved it!

Cute little story about business owners next door to each other that clearly start off as more enemies than friends. When Valentino’s store is robbed they work together to be part of a neighborhood watch. While keeping watch they quickly become more friends than enemies. They both get the chance to show each other that there’s more to themselves than meets the eye. Throughout the whole story we see them slowly build this cute connection. Lovely little rom-com, with a HEA and an epilogue.

A Fairly quick Valentine’s novella set in a mall. It was a sweet read and I really enjoyed it. With it being a novella you can easily read it in a few hours.

I was contacted to consider reviewing this book. The blurb sounded interesting so I agreed. I then checked the reviews online and saw so many discouraging ones. I was a little scared the book would be a bust.

But, it wasn’t! I don’t understand all the low reviews. It is a novella so naturally the story would be fast paced. But, it was a good fast paced.

Amara and Valentino own neighboring businesses in the local mall. After a crime is committed in the mall, the two work together as a mall patrol unit. Amara doesn’t believe in the whole “love is grand” thing while Valentino believes in the magic of love. The banter between these two is funny and left me chuckling at times. There are also some heartwarming and touching moments as the two discover that there is more to the other than it appeared.

Will Valentino break down Amara’s walls? Or will she continue to remain shut off? This is a short, sweet, and romantic read.

What a cute, fun read. My first book by this author but will have to look for more by her as this was really enjoyable. Mara and Val are paired to do neighborhood mall watch after a break in and the fun starts there.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you NetGalley and Sarah Robinson for this edition and hearing my honest review. Looking forward to reading more with you
