I hope that this book does help other people, but for me, it just seemed like a gimmick. I think that there is a fine line between advice and blowing smoke and this felt to me like the authors blowing smoke.

I'm not familiar with the original Go-Giver, but this parable and debrief, was edutainment -- educational + entertainment. For those of us struggling in not optimal relationships and ready to call it quits, you'll be wishing you read this BEFORE you got into a relationship.

This is such an excellent book that I bought a hard copy to give to my husband to read. I highly recommend it whether you have been married one month or 20 years.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book! I’m a huge fan of the Go-Giver books. We own and have read them all. When I saw this on NetGalley, it was a no-brainer. Much like the other Go-Giver books, this book was a parable about five secrets to lasting love. Told through a story about a couple facing family, marriage, and career challenges it feels relatable! The fact that a married couple wrote this together added to the realness of the story and the advice. I’d certainly recommend this book to all of my engaged and married friends. The cover also matches the other Go-Giver books, so well done to the authors for keeping things consistent. 5/5 stars for me

A marriage counceling book useful not only for married couples but for everyone who wishes to maintain healthy and positive relationships.

The book contains a parable to introduce and explain the five secrets of lasting love and a working marriage, a practical guide with specific and concrete examples, and discussion questions which make this book ideal for a group read.

I must add that I am not a big fan of self-help books but I truly enjoyed this.

Many thanks to NetGalley and BenBella Books for an Advance Review Copy.
