Great storyline and was very engaging! This was a real page turner and left me wanting more. Although a bit predictable, I’d definitely recommend this for a quick and easy read!

Engaging cowboy romantic suspense. Lots of action. A definite page turner. Some surprises. As usual, I skipped over the intimate details. That consisted of a small portion of the story, so easy to overlook.

good, but i could’ve done with less crime/suspense and more spice. that being said, it’s the genre of the novel so i guess it’s more a personal preference thing for me to take note of than a slight against the story. it was very cinematic; while i read, i could very clearly see how things would play out onscreen.

Not your typical cowboy romance! That Cowboy of Mine has so much more to offer; suspense, intrigue, a little mystery and romance. The characters were relatable, lovable and engaging. You really pull for Cal and Dillon to be together, but can't help being suspicious about their relationship. This book makes you want to read on beyond the end and hope for sequels.

I really loved Dillon and Cal as characters and their insta-attraction/ falling in love REALLY fast. The story line kept me hooked and reading to find out more even though I was pretty sure I knew what was going to happen. This novel was more mystery-suspense and pretty light on romance but still a great, quick read. This was my first Donna Grant novel but it won't be my last.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and Donna Grant for the ARC!

This was a New to Me author. The book had some really good parts. There were some parts that to me were repetitive or drawn out. The mystery and overall story was decent.

I love Donna Grant books. This book had a great storyline. My problem was it was a bit plodding, and slow to move. I loved all of the characters and how Dillon and Cal interacted, which is why I'm giving it a 4 stars.

From the cover to the ending, Grant knows how to grab your attention. Her contemporary cowboy romance books are a suspenseful, steamy treat every time. I love reading and reviewing her stories!

This one has several interesting twists that you do not expect which builds that anticipation. I love the connection between Cal and Dillion. It is made of mutual respect and that is sexy in its own right. Did I want more heat and fire? Heck yes, but the story flowed perfectly and made for a captivating read.

With a unique storyline and a great HEA that we come to love and expect from Grant, That Cowboy of Mine is an intense, sexy story that is tough to put down plus leaves a smile on your face!

Rodeo cowboy Cal Bennett wakes up hung over lying in a field on the Bar 4 ranch with the young, female owner, Dillon Young, pointing a shotgun at him. He has no recollection of the previous night or how he ended up someplace he never even knew existed. His father's friend, Hank Stephens, owns the ranch that borders the Bar 4 which could give Cal some clues, if he could just clear his mind. He soon finds there's a lot more going on at the Bar 4 when someone shoots at Dillon and Cal saves her.

Cal decides to stick around, working on the ranch, watching out for Dillon and it becomes clear someone wants Dillon off her ranch. Strange things have been happening, her prize stallion is gone, and previous attempts at getting her to sell the ranch have failed. Texas Ranger Chet Thompson begins investigating the missing horse and soon finds the plot involving the Bar 4 is much bigger than just a valuable stallion.

Dillon doesn’t know who to trust or why someone is desperate to get their hands on the ranch her aunt left her. As things unravel and danger surrounds her, she’s determined to fight for her livestock and her land, but is she becoming paranoid? She sees shadows around every corner and ill intent in people she thought she could trust.

Grant certainly knows cowboys and delivers a heart-stopping, suspenseful read while creating a wonderful romance that will have the reader cheering for the cowboy. Fans of Delores Fossen and Carly Bloom will love this visit to the Bar 4 while watching Cal save the day and win the girl.

Donna Grant is one of my must read authors. This is the first time I have read one of her Cowboy books and I enjoyed it. Cal Bennett is a rodeo bull rider and wakes up hung over with a gun pointing at him unsure of where he is at and what happened the prior evening. Pointing the gun is ranch owner Dillon Young. Dillon was left the ranch by her Aunt and is trying to make the ranch a go. Strange things have been happening around the ranch and staff have left. Hank Stephens another rancher has tried to buy her ranch several times. She is not sure who to trust anymore. She ends up offering Cal a job and slowly they develop a relationship but things continue to happen and people are trying to kill her. This was a really good romantic suspense. I really enjoyed it. I recommend the book.

I received this book for my honest opinion from Netgalley

Normally my type of story, strong independent woman receives help reluctantly from dashing(sometimes) Hero. It was a good read, just the story line was a little over played. I have read and enjoyed other books by this author and this was still really good and well written, just nothing new.

A fairly good story by a great author. Dillon and Cal’s story. Not sure why, but struggled a bit to get into this one, and ended up skimming a bit. Just felt like the scenario was too familiar? Might just be me. In general, like the author and would recommend.

Donna Grant does it again with that Cowboy of Mine. Dillion is a strong woman who now owns and runs her Aunt’s ranch. Someone is trying to run her off or kill her and get her land, but who and why? Enter Cal who wakes up from a drinking binge on Dillon’s ranch with her shotgun pointed at him. How did he get here? Is he part of this? She doesn’t know who to trust and after he saves her from a bullet, she decides to take a chance on letting him help her. Who or why is after her ranch? The pages just kept on turning and the mystery and growing feelings between the two kept me going right up until the happy ending. I received this ARC through NetGalley to read and enjoy.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Cal Bennett wakes up from a night of drinking with fuzzy memories and a shotgun in his face. Dillon Grant doesn’t take kindly to strangers on her ranch especially with someone out to take her property. Not only do they have to catch a horse thief but whoever wants Dillon dead. Cal offers to help protect both the ranch and Dillon after barely dodging shots to shield her.

This enemies to lovers romance is packed with suspense. There are only a couple spicy moments so if that’s the type action you’re looking for you may be disappointed. The plot is well thought out and wraps up nicely as a stand-alone. Cal and Dillon have just the right amount of chemistry for a forced-proximity relationship.

I do wish that there was an epilogue so we can see what happens to Dillon and her ranch in the future but it is not strictly necessary.

This is the first novel that I have read from author Donna Grant but I look forward to reading some of her past works.

Hum. I have mixed feelings. I just couldn’t get into the story. I can’t put my finger on it but something was off. Maybe the feeling of things being forced to happen. It just didn’t give me that sucked in feeling. It may be different for other readers, so do give it a try if it seems like a book you’d be interested in. I’m going to give this three stars. I was not out off or it was not a did not finish. I just think it was missing something for my tastes.

This book is a romantic suspense and boy does it have a lot of suspense and mystery. I loved Cal. He’s charming, sexy and has such a good heart. Dillon is a strong woman that doesn’t let people push her around. The details in the description of the setting made me feel as if I was on the ranch myself. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

Donna Grant, mother of dragons, writes a great cowboy book. Cal has been a riding bulls in the rodeo for a long time. The night after he fails to move on into the finals - he gets very very drunk - and wakes up in a field with a shotgun pointed at him. Dillon is holding the shotgun. She's trying to find a very valuable horse that was let out during the night. Dillon is seriously tough - she's fighting to make a go of her ranch and is hitting nothing but obstacles and a lot of men who don't want her to succeed on her own.

She and Cal are both scrappy and determined to get to the bottom of what is going on. Cal in particular is also trying to figure himself out. He's been following a path for a long time - and is now figuring out that maybe it wasn't what he wanted after all - or leading where he wanted it to go. I think the book really shows that at his heart Cal is a truly good person. Dillon is too - but the odds have been stacked against her - starting with her gender alone. Her struggle is real and very hard fought.

What held me back from making this a four star read is how Dillon treats Cal at the end. I understood where she was coming from and how it played in with the end of the story - but it felt off - and a little intense for the situation. I was also a little throw off by the involvement of Dillon's attorney/friend? I feel like I should have known who Les was maybe from another Donna Grant book or something? But for some reason Dillon's relationship with him - threw me off. At one point I almost felt like he had more chemistry with Dillon than Cal did - and that was just over the phone.

Overall - its a classic Donna Grant book - and I can't wait until the next one (whether its a standalone or something in a series!).

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.
