Having read all three books of this trilogy, it’s hard to say if it was something you can follow well book one to three. While the stories are good, they are spaced REALLY far apart. Which I guess if they want room to fill in the odd books with earlier stories they can, there’s room to do so. The Gwendy character doesn’t seem to be shaped as, she just is, today.

As for THIS book and story. I’d have to say it’s been my favorite of the three. It’s got a good current and back story shaping the events of today. It’s a better ending than I expected, from the other two books leading you with no real conclusion to where she would be next. So each book was a complete departure in character and experience. Without spoiling any of it, the fragility and strength built off that of Gwendy in this book was appreciated.
