I had a hard time putting this book down. It looks like someone is trying to frame this hero, and they wanna find out who and why. What follows is a wild adventure that has them facing some powerful foes. As this tale comes to a close it looks like things for this hero might finally be going back to normal
Thank you NetGalley for this digital copy of Cat Ninja. I added this to my Kindle for myself and my 8 year old. Let me tell you he devoured this book. He was giddy and ready to share during his last week of school so his teacher read it off his Kindle to the class. A room of rising 3rd graders loved it and sent their appreciation for sharing. Definitely one we will add to the library.
Fun way of getting kids to read. First grader enjoyed reading it. The book lends to theatrics. Fun family boding time while reading it. Action packed pages.
Another installment of Cat Ninja and I have to say it was fantastic. This is a super fun graphic novel series that I love to read with my 4, 7, and 9 year old. Fun, playful and filled with adventure.
Cat Ninja: Wanted did not disappoint. It was a funny comic with a lot of attitude and humor! My 9 year old thoroughly enjoyed reading this story.
This is just too cute. Well illustrated. A good comic book series for children. Adults too if they're fans of cats and superheroes.
This was such a cute book! My kids love all things Cat Ninja and this will be a great addition to they choices to read!
My kids love reading Cat Ninja books, and this one did not disappoint. They really enjoyed the characters from the other books and the short stories about each of them that were at the end. In this new book, Cat Ninja and Master Hamster are accused of robbing businesses after the surveillance footage is released. How will they defeat the copycats? Will the town still be on their side? Read Cat Ninja:Wanted and find out.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Cat Ninja: Wanted by Matthew Cody; Colleen AF Venable; and Marcie Colleen is the third book in the Cat Ninja series. The story revolves around superheroes and supervillains in Metro City. According to the description, the book includes "six stand-alone stories, plus a five-part Cat Ninja special miniseries!"
Overall, Cat Ninja: Wanted is a children's superhero comic that will appeal to fans of Sonic the Hedgehog, Perry the Platypus, or Ducktales. One highlight of this book is the vibrant and colorful artwork. I'm sure many children will enjoy reading this book. Unfortunately, as an adult reader, the storyline just didn't appeal to me. If you're intrigued by the description, you can check out this book when it comes out in May!
A fun adventure for kids who love the Cat Ninja series. If your child/student loves cats and/or ninjas, this is the book for them! An action-packed book about a cat who fights crime. I love how there are many different shorter stories all within one book. This makes it easier for young readers to read and understand, and helps them set goals for reading. I definitely recommend this book for young readers who enjoy graphic novels full of action and adventures!
My 5 year old loves Cat Ninja. He loved this one just as much! Great seeing the next adventure of cat ninja and how he’s wanted now.
Cat Ninja is a series of stories in graphic novel form that follow Cat Ninja and his sidekick Master Hamster. I hadn't read any previous Cat Ninja stories, and I think that would've helped. They referenced things that had happened previously without giving any context, which made it confusing at times. The illustrations are all beautiful though!
My 5 year old is learning to read and she loves the cat ninja books! We listen/read them on the Epic! app and she can following along and see the new sight words that she's learning. We love following the adventures of cat ninja and the sidekicks and seeing where each book will take us! My 3 year old also loves to read/listen to these books with us!
Thank you NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the copy of this book!
Cat Ninja is fantastic! My kids love this series of graphic novels. It's a fun story that has appeal to many levels of readers. The artwork is bright and fun! This is a great series to get kids interested in reading. Keep the Cat Ninja books coming!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
ARC Copy...Hehe another insane and whacky collection of adventures with a cat and a hamster who secretly super heroes. Fans of the series will not be disappointed and...hehe hospital for weird yet familiar creatures. It was a nice way to end off the collection.
My kids love this series!
They're huge fans of the goofy jokes, the action and story lines.
This story is no exception. It's a hit with my 8 and 10 year old!
For me as a parent it's a little silly, but I'm grateful it catches their attention and gets them interested in reading.
My kids (at time of writing aged 9 and 6) LOVE Cat Ninja. They've read all of the series' on Epic, so this was an action-packed re-read for them.
Cat Ninja: Wanted opens with Cat Ninja being framed for a crime he didn't commit. Full of supervillains and humour, this is a graphic novel for younger readers. The artwork is in the style of the Marvel/DC comics, with lots of onomatopoeic "Thwaks" for good measure.
There are multiple stories within this book, and the kids will love them all.
~Many thanks to Netgalley for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review~
My 7 year old and I read this book and he really enjoyed it. He thought it was funny and enjoyed the graphics. He told me I need to find him more Cat Ninja books to read.
Matthew Cody does it again with another fabulous Cat Ninja tale! Suitable for young readers just starting in to chapter book/graphic novel reading (without the dry potty humour and jokes). A fabulous read for children of any gender, and a wonderful introduction into the world of mysteries, problem solving and super hero tales.
The third full-sized book in and it looks like we might be signing off on this crime-fighting critter. The main story is pell-mell action, as Cat Ninja gets arrested for a crime wave, which kind of goes against all we know him for. If it didn't have the obvious feel of wrapping up a trilogy, it has the final beat to suggest it was what we'd been building up to, and if it wasn't for all that there's the inclusion of a whole host of other one-shot type stories, from guest contributors galore. To my tastes, this wasn't the best way to finish – the verbosity of the main story a bit too much, and the quality of the extras not exactly as fine as their variety. But it never pretended to be anything other than briskly-read candy-coloured capers, and that's what we get, meaning the target audience will be happy. I may be heavily mistaken and the franchise might outlive me, but there are the first signs of it being below par, and either way I would call this the best spot for me to depart the series.
