This wasn't one of my favorite DS books, but readable. It was darker than I generally prefer her books to be.

I would like to thank NetGalley and Random House Ballentine for allowing me to read this book and give my honest opinion. I am a long time Danielle Steel fan and I LOVED THIS BOOK! So this book starts out with Theodora. Her husband and son were murdered after a bad business deal went down and Theo owns a clothing website and runs her husbands company as well. She is coming to the States from France where she lives (she is American though). There she meets Mike, a sexy CIA agent who becomes enamored with her and wants to solve the mystery of her husband's death. This was a very enjoyable book and I feel like Danielle found her voice again!

Suspects by Danielle Steel is one of those rare stories that does everything well, romance, drama, and suspense with a touch of espionage. Theo Morgan, fashion royalty is still reeling from the untimely murder of her husband and son a year ago. The case has since gone cold when suddenly she crosses paths with Pierre, a smarmy guy in my opinion and he is being watched by the CIA. When Senior supervising CIA operative Mike Andrews enters Theo's life things become sweeter for Theo, and she begins to experience life once again. This is not without its share of drama and suspense, no one can weave such a wonderful tale of love and intrigue as Danielle Steel.

This book is full of high fashion and glamour as fans of Danielle Steel will love. The writing is descriptive and this is a fast easy and enjoyable read,

I have always enjoyed reading any book by Danielle Steel. Suspect is about Theodora "Theo" Morgan Pasquier who is a highly sought-after retail designer. She built her mega prosperous financial empire selling her unique clothing and accessories online.

Sadly, her husband, industry mogul Matthieu Pasquier, and 13-year-old son were kidnapped for ransom, resulting in tragedy. Both of them were killed. The case remains unsolved, and Theo lives with the constant threat of danger. She requires 24/7 protection to maintain her safety.

A business trip to New York brings Theo into contact with CIA agent Mike Andrews. The instant sexual attraction between Mike and Theo is very steamy, but can he protect Theo from the brutal kidnappers? A lot of suspense, romance and a quick read.

WOW! How can this be my 44th book by Danielle Steel? That's because I started reading her in my teens and still love her books to this day!! This one starts out with Theo who is mourning the loss of her husband and child as they were kidnapped and held for ransom. Then she meets Mike, a CIA agent and a romance ensues between them. This was not my favorite book of hers. I thought it was just ok. But you can bet I will be looking for her next great book!! Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this early release in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this.. here's why
- Fans of Danielle Steel should enjoy this book. It is full of glitz, glamour, and international intrigue. This romance has some added mystery and suspense. I also appreciated that the main female character was somewhat stronger and brighter than the typical Danielle Steel heroines.

It is a quick, easy read, and you know the ending will be a happy one. But, don’t let that deter you. It is still an enjoyable book.

Thank you to NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group, and Delacorte Press for an advanced copy!

I have read several Danielle Steel books over the years and I think this book rates as a average to good book. It’s based on a wealthy woman who has been through a terrible tragedy and a man who works for the CIA and desperately wants to help her. I enjoyed the back story of the wealthy main character and liked seeing glimpses of her VIP red carpet life and I enjoyed that it ended on a good note with nothing left unfinished. That being said, I don’t know that I felt the story had much depth to it. But if you want a fast, enjoyable read, and like Danielle Steel’s writing style
Then I would suggest this book for you.

In Danielle Steel's Suspects we meet Theo Morgan, who is a year-out from the unspeakable tragedy of her child and husband being kidnapped (and then killed) for ransom. The case has not been solved, and Theo is trying to return to her business -- a largely famous and profitable online fashion company. CIA Agent Mike Andrews is investigating another individual when Theo Morgan crosses his radar -- he surprises himself when he becomes protective and concerned for the recent widow.

While this was an enjoyable read, I felt it didn't fully deliver on the suspense -- perhaps the consequence of it being both a romance and a suspenseful novel. Whatever mystery there was I found to be almost too neatly wrapped in a bow in a very brief ending summary.

I feel like Danielle Steel’s books keep getting better and better. This book is filled with romance and suspense. It started a bit slow but it picked up the pace. I wasn’t able to put it down.

Theo is heartbroken due to a devastating occurrence that robs her of everything dear to her. Finally able to return to her lucrative fashion business she meets Mike, a handsome CIA agent who knows her past and knows that she is still in danger from the people that harmed her loved ones. Mike helps ramp up the investigation into finding and putting these people behind bars so that Theo can live a normal life without fear. This is one of the most exciting books that Ms. Steel has written ! Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

📚Book Review📚

Suspects/Danielle Steele
3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

In Suspects, we have our typical Danielle Steele. There is never too much of a mystery, and never too much intensity, and they are easy to pick up and put down.

We follow Theodora Morgan, who is fashion royalty. Founder of a wildly popular online shopping service, she is one of the most successful businesswomen in the world, although she prefers to keep a low profile, especially over the last months. It was a year ago when the unthinkable struck her family, and her husband, industry mogul Matthieu Pasquier, and their son were kidnapped and held for ransom—a nightmare that ended in tragedy.

The case has gone cold, despite evidence linking the crime to Matthieu’s Russian competitors. Theo has reluctantly gone back to work running her company. On the flight to a launch party for one of her highly anticipated pop-up shops in New York City, she crosses paths with high-society networker Pierre de Vaumont. Theo politely invites him to her event—unaware that Pierre has been flagged by the CIA.

Senior supervising CIA operative Mike Andrews investigates Pierre’s suspicious Russian contacts and clears him to enter the country, but when he realizes that Theodora Morgan is on the same flight, he becomes concerned for her safety. Posing as a lawyer, Mike begins a covert mission—starting with Theo’s opening party. When Mike and Theo meet, their connection is instant, but Theo is completely unaware of Mike’s true objective or identity… or that the life she is rebuilding is in grave danger.

Danielle Steele is almost always an enjoyable read. However, I found myself struggling through this one. There was no mystery and a lot of repetition.

I have rounded up to 3 stars. So, you should read this book if…

✔️you love Danielle Steele
✔️you love a book easy to pick up and put down
✔️you love a book easy to blow through

I have always been a fan of Danielle Steele, but her latest books just keep getting better and better! This is by far one of my favorites! Go pre-order this one now because you will not want to miss reading this book this summer.

SUSPECTS by: Danielle Steel
Publication Date: June 28, 2022

Theo is a brilliant & beautiful business woman. She has suffered more loss in the past year than anyone should ever have to. She is strong willed, but mourning and has isolated herself as much as possible from the public eye.
Mike is in the CIA & everything about his life is to remain top secret. He wants to find the kidnappers/murderers of Theo's husband and son all while protecting her.

Another great book! Full of suspense, romance and Paris. Loved it! No one writes engrossing stories like Danielle Steel. A must read! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher and an ARC in exchange for a review.

Thoroughly enjoyed this novel, it amazes me how DS can come up with such wonderful characters and stories. This one starts a little slow but soon gets the action going and it’s non stop until the end. Theo is a great character and DS really makes you feel for her, Mike is a lovable yet tough guy CIA agent that would make anyone feel safe. Such an odd pairing yet it works! I really loved this one!!

Thank you in advance to Netgalley and the publisher for granting me an advance copy of the book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Danielle Steel keeps getting better and better. She has written another 5 star novel! Women her age are normally napping mid day and spending time doing crosswords or putting jigsaw puzzles together. Not her, she is pumping out best sellers.

Now she outdoes herself with a romance murder mystery! Who could ask for a better plot or a better set of characters plus it is set in Paris.

No one knows it describes bParis in as much detail or with such flair as Danielle Steel!

A must, must read!!!
