This is an excellent addition to the Billie Walker series, and I'm keen to read more.
Sydney 1947, and Billie is hired to find a missing husband who was last seen in London and Paris two years prior. This takes Billie back to the ghosts of her past, having last seen her missing, presumed dead, husband in Paris also a few years earlier.
Very atmospheric, transplanting the reader in that post war era. Our female private enquiry agent is a wonderful lead character, and this story engages from start to finish.
