Thank you to NetGalley and Stacey Kennedy for this digital ARC.
It is a fast, fun, paranormal read. Who doesn't love a vampire book?
There was a lot of great chemistry between the main characters.
3.5 Stars
Willa Farrington is a witch without magic, and after failing her rite... without a community. Starting over in a city of vampires, Willa finds her place in her small bookstore, with her two best friends, and of course, her tiny dragon. But when she finds herself in trouble, never did she imagine that the one and only, Warden of Charleston would come to her rescue...
Killian Constantine is a powerful vampire who has been around for a very, very long time... but he has never met anyone like Willa. Although she claims to be a witch without magic, only someone very powerful would have been able to call to him... telepathically...

What the Fang? was an intriguing and sexy, paranormal romance! In a city of vampires, the lone witch is about to find herself in a heap of trouble... and a life that she never expected...
This book was a fun and entertaining read! The attraction between Willa and Killian was undeniably sexy, and just a little bit complicated! I loved the plot of this book, and it also had a unique twist that I was not expecting! This story had it's suspenseful moments, and heartwarming ones as well... but the best ones were when Willa was discovering the life that she always deserved!
From vampires, to witches, and a tiny dragon(!)... this book provided an enjoyable reading escape!
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
This book was very fun, I love a broody vampire. The pacing was fast however, I feel like after we got the first reveal it all kind of felt predictable. Still a super entertaining book and I would recommmend it if you're looking for a fast, fun, paranormal read.
So lovely book, I enjoy the chemistry between the characters, highly recommend.
I like because is fun to read, and it's good because you easily follow the history.

"What the fang" is a shortish supernatural novel, telling the story of Willa and Killian.
We meet our heroine - Willa, in her small bookstore, a few hours before a disaster happens, and she is attacked. However, during this attack, she calls out to the master vampire of the city - Killian, who, of course, like the knight in the shining armour saves her.
Later, they start an adventure, searching for the cause of the attack, and for the person who might've ordered it. During this, secrets unfold, and Willa learns that she had been lied to her whole life.
If you want to learn what those secrets are, you shall read this book.
MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Jesus, this book was boring. Or at least I found it boring.
The writing was good, but something was missing, and it was not the fact that nothing happened, cause a lot did.
And I think this could be part of the problem. I read and so many things happened in such a short book that most of them left me confused at the end. I think more has to be written, and the scenes should be expanded.
The idea of the book was wonderful, and I tried so hard to fall in love with it, but I just couldn't.
The characters, in my opinion, were pretty bland and flat. In neither Willa nor Killian, I could see anything interesting or something worth mentioning. It was like they just existed, didn't have any highlighted personalities. So in this department, the author needs to work on (a better character arc).
It is mainly fantasy, and I couldn't feel any genuine romance. Yes, he called her amore, but there was only that. Words and fucking, no doings.
But as I often say, you can have a totally different experience reading this book, and end with a completely different opinion. Unfortunately for me, this book is only two stars.
I really like this book. It’s light, entertaining and I appreciate that the story is not complicated to follow. Sometimes when it comes to fantasy, authors get carried away. But what I really love is that Killian is such a gentleman. It's not about him taking control even when he is clearly an alpha and imposing. It’s about him sharing his power with Willa. Who is humble to a fault but mighty. I'll definitely be on look out for the next one in the series.
I was excited about this book going in but still ended up loving it more than I expected to! I haven´t read any books about vampires and wearwolves since Twilight in highschool and this book has inspired me to read more on the topic! It was fun, adventurorus, and flirty. Based on the cover and synopsis I wias not expecting for it to be so steamy (no compaints here) or even very romance heavy. Kennedy knocked it out of the park!
I am looking forward to re-reading this around Halloween time and would reccomend everyone else to do the same. :)

Myth: 3.5/5
I don’t know what the official sub-genre for this book is, but if you take cozy mystery and mixed it with paranormal romance you’d get this little gem. It was such a sweet, easy read. The characters were easy to enjoy, the banter playful. Much of the paranormal romance I read has darker, grittier threads, but the Undead Ever After series definitely pulls from more cozy vibes. I should say cozy vibes but without the murder mystery, thought it’s got a supernatural mystery of its own.
The world includes vampires, witches and humans with a built in history regarding their coming out and politics. Some of the world building at the beginning seemed a little heavy on the info dump, but it was still a breeze to read.
Magic: 4/5
Willa is a magic-less witch, living in a vampire town and that gives you great insight into her character. She is brave and loyal to those she loves. She’s not sure of her place in the world, but she wants to find a corner to call her own and be content. Leave it to magical mischief to send her careening in a slightly different direction!
Overall: 3.5/5
A cast of characters that are easy to enjoy and a world filled with the supernatural. This book carries all the comfort of a cozy read with a fire romance story line. Expect found family and happily ever afters.
Special thanks to the author for providing an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. 3.5 stars rounded up!
This was a fun and light paranormal romance that I really enjoyed reading! For a book that's less than 200 pages, this had a lot going on, from a steamy 'fated' romance, vamp attacks and abductions, mysterious elvish powers, and witchy subterfuge. There's also a wee dragon that loves cuddles and he was entirely too adorable with his spunky attitude and puppy-like play! What the Fang? is one of those books that I would recommend picking up if you're simply looking for a purely entertaining read—it's one that you don't have to think much about and can happily consume in the span of a few hours, which is what I did and it was exactly what I was looking for!
The book is set in an alternate world where vampires and witches have outed themselves and now live amongst humans, and although I don't read a lot of PNR, I found the characterisation of vampires and witches to be familiar enough for me to not be surprised. Although many elements of the plot are quite convenient and the twists are predictable, that didn't lessen my enjoyment of the read! However, I will say that if you're looking for extensive world-building and well-developed characters, this probably won't be the read for you!
Willa is a witch without powers and after being banished from her coven for failing the Summer Solstice rite, she relocates to one of the three vampire-ruled cities, Charleston, to run a bookstore and live a quiet life with her pet dragon, Ambrose. Willa is sassy, a dedicated friend, and I really liked her! Willa experiences a lot of exciting and shocking twists and turns throughout the story, but she never lets it knock her down. There were one or two moments that I became irritated with some of the choices she made but for the most part, she was pretty sensible for someone who had her life turned upside down. I adored her two vampire besties, Finnick and Gwen, and they had me cackling with glee with their cheeky banter and sass.
Then there's Charleston Warden, Killian, a sexy, smouldering and powerful vampire who comes in all 'dark-knight' like to the rescue. Amidst all the upheaval, Killian is one of the steadfast and grounding forces that keep Willa going and I really liked his presence by her side, and though he comes to her rescue (often), he doesn't step in to make her decisions for her or tell her what to do. The romance was extremely insta-love and while I'm not one for that trope, I somehow find myself a little more forgiving with the trope when it comes to PNR because of the whole fated mates, destined lovers, or as was the case here, 'Gemina Flamma', or twin flames, thing. Willa and Killian do have some great chemistry and the tension between them built up well. Also, I don't know why I didn't expect it but this was surprisingly steamy! 🥵
Overall, this was a really fun and quick read. Many of the elements are tied up quite neatly by the end of the book but the main conflict hasn't been resolved, so I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what happens next!
thought I was in for a sleepy Charleston set book with “What the Fang”, but I wasn't expecting a pet Dragon (the size of a border collie), vampire controlled cities and politics and elf magic.
So much happens in “What the Fang” book but it's fun and I wanted to keep reading to see what was happening with Willa and how Killian (the vampire warden of Charleston) was going to fit into her life.
This story wasn't particularly steamy, but I loved the mystery of why Lillian could hear Willa’s thoughts and who is Willa's father and why are vampires coming after Willa?
4-4.5 out of 5 ⭐️

Book Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Willa is a witch But she doesn’t have any powers, and because this the coven has kicked her out. She lives among vampires very comfortably, and runs a quiet bookshop. Until she is kidnapped. Then he whole life is turned upside down. Soon after she meets Killian and the attraction is so unreal she’s not sure how to feel about it.
⠀
One thing I didn’t like was there were a lot of similarities to a show I love, True Blood. The vampire hierarchy, warden, and even the main male protagonist fighting and being turned in the civil war were all the same. The heroine not knowing her true lineage and not knowing about her secret powers, even her instant attraction to the vampire were so similar to that show. And sometimes it made me feel like I was having deja vu. Now I don’t know if this was merely coincidental or not, but it did take away from the story for me some. But in the end it didn’t take away that much, just made me want to watch the show again.
⠀
I liked the plot of the story a lot though, and this was a very fast and fun read. The main characters were very relatable and lovable, but the best friends Finnick and Gwen rounded out the story perfectly. I want them as my friends.
⠀
The romance scenes are definitely not fade to black scenes. They are spicy, fiery, spell out every delicious moment romance scenes. The pet dragon was the best addition ever. He had so many personality traits and quirks similar to me dog that I instantly loved him. The ending was a cute happy ending that left me wanting more.
You’d think all the action happening in such a short time would be exciting, but it wasn’t, not really.
Willa is a witch without a coven. She was expelled after she failed the Summer Solstice Rite. The city of Charleston, home to the vampires, welcomed her and her witchy bookstore. Her life floated along quietly and without any ripples, until one day some vampires tried to abduct her and her cries for help were heard by the Warden of Charleston. Killian had no idea why he could hear Willa’s voice in his head, but he intended to get to the bottom of it all. Together they set out to uncover all the mysteries.
What the Fang packs quite a lot of story into its shorter length. A lot of things are happening with almost no respite in between and not a lot of time to really get to know the characters. Willa fell in with Killian with no issues. And everything seemed to come easy to them too. There was always a handy explanation for what was going on, or a handy vampire in the vicinity with just the right skills to solve whatever needed to be solved. And everyone was so nice! Even the bad guys didn’t have me shivering in my boots or at least shaking my fist at them.
I’m sorry, but I just wasn’t that invested in Willa and Killian and I’m pretty sure I rolled my eyes quite a bit too.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Enjoyable quick read about a witch, Willa, who is targeted by vampire kidnappers. It takes awhile to sort out why but luckily in the mean time she has a protector, Killian Constantine, the Warden of Charleston.
An interesting rom com featuring a vampire that I ended up loving. And I didn’t really think that I would love it as I’m not big into vampire stories but I guess if it’s a rom com I just want to sink my teeth into it.
3.5 Stars
It has been so long since I read a paranormal fantasy book and What the Fang? is a great book which did not disappoint. With the illustrated book cover and title I expected a rom-com but it was actually a light-hearted romance which I really enjoyed.
What the Fang? Introduces us to Willa Farrington - a witch without magic, shunned by her coven and living in vampire territory. She’s looking for a quiet life, selling books and making memories with her friends but getting attacked and finding herself saved by Killian, the Warden of Charleston, throws a spanner in the works. As things escalate, Willa finds herself thrown into a world of vampires, long lost family members and a whole lot of magic.
I thought the world building started off great and Finnick and Gwen, Willa’s best friends, were great side characters who I hope we see more of. There was a nice amount of romance between Willa and Killian and I enjoyed their development from strangers to lovers. I did, however, feel like everything was wrapped up nicely and I was quite shocked to see there was a second instalment. I feel as if there should have been more conflict to carry over to justify the second book.
Overall, Kennedy did a great job with What the Fang? It was a nice, quick read which I enjoyed and I look forward to exploring more of the author’s novels. If you like paranormal romances with fast developing romance, this book is for you.

This book started off very well. It hooked me right up and I thought I was definitely going to enjoy it. But the rest of the book did not go as I expected. There is so much potential to this story, if only the author just took some more time to flush out the characters and plot, it would've been really really good. Because the author did not do that, everything felt very rushed and forced. It all felt very cringy and I was eager to complete this book just so that I could put it to rest.
Overall, this story has so much potential but got wasted.
I flew through this but I felt like I was reading the skeleton of a story. It had a lot of potential. It was fast paced but lacking character development.
I’m not a fan of instant love romance. It was very cheesy, the casual drop about magic birth control right before they had sex actually had me laughing. And then she just assumes they’re dating after sleeping together one time? It wasn’t realistic.
That being said, I think this book was meant to be cheesy. AND Ambrose is my favorite character.
There's plenty going on in this contemporary paranormal book. Willa is a witch without magic who was banished from her coven. Killian is drawn to her and the mystery just grows from there. The characters are engaging and often humorous. It was really a fun and entertaining read!
I received a free copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I used to call books like "What the Fang" my guilty pleasure.
But why should I feel guilty?
It's a fun a quick read, it has vampires and witches and a dragon that acts like a puppy.
It also has some spice to it. All in all never a dull moment. A nice escape from reality.
Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book.
This book was wonderful! I loved the witch and vampire romance angle and it definitely gave me a lot of True Blood vibes. This book was a true delight and I cannot wait to see what comes next for Willa and Killian!
