I didn’t love this. It was so predictable and was very insta-lovey (which I’m not a big fan of). Honestly I found both main characters kind of annoying. I considered DNFing but was listening on audio so just put on 2x speed to get through it faster. I like the sea turtle aspect of the plot but honestly it was one of the only things I liked about this. Overall, this a 2.75 for me. Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A Line In The Sand made a splash in my reading list - this summery story offered romance and smiles aplenty.
This book is the perfect beach read that will get you laughing and turning the pages.
A mermaid, a mer-doggo (haha) and an enemies-to-lovers twist made this a solid 4 stars and a super fun and easy beachy read!

The Turtle Beach books are a good time, if not particularly memorable. You won't be bored with these characters antics and the big personality pups involved. In this edition, the FMC is a mermaid at the local aquarium when an uptight new aquarium director comes in to study sea turtles. They immediately clash, as most grumpy/sunshine couples do and he fires her, making him the enemy for most of the town. But when her pup turns out o have the unique ability to sniff out sea turtle nests, the pair are drawn together.
Like I said, these books are a good time. The romance is always a kind of quirky, opposites attract sort of thing. The side characters are hilarious, especially the senior citizens. The setting is in a stereotypical small town where residents look out for each other and outsiders bring out skepticism. The books are fairly slow burn, with a lot of tension and little spice.
My favorite parts are the pups, personally. And reading men get their behinds handed to them by strong-willed women, of course.

LOVED this sweet low burn romance - grumpy/sunshine vibes for those who speak in romance tropes with the help of the cutest pup to move their relationship right along. Small town and coastal, this story will grab your heart and hold onto it. It's like a Hallmark movie on paper. Loved it.

Dog on the cover? FMC is a mermaid? Turtles? IM SOLD! This was such a cute lighthearted read that I will enjoy time and time again. Will recommend and highly enjoyed!

This is such a fun and perfect beach read! A romantic comedy that made me laugh and love. Full of tropes that I love (enemies to lovers especially) I loved the dual POV and small town vibes.

Suppose you are looking for a quick beach, slow burn, grumpy trope to read. This is it!
Thank you, NetGalley, publisher, and author, for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The puppy!!! Haha. Okay I didn’t know going on this was book two but that’s okay… this one was a cute quick read!

What's not to love about a story that involves a cute puppy. Who may or may not play matachmaker. Because dogs and puppy just make any story better.

A Line in the Sand (Turtle Beach #2). By Teri Wilson. 2022. Sourcebooks Casablanca (ARC eBook).
Molly and Max hit a few bumps in the road in keeping Turtle Beach’s aquarium open and navigating their budding relationship. Cut dogs and quirky senior citizens has the same charm as book one. Overall an entertaining story.

Thank you to SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca and NetGalley for an e-ARC of this novel in exchange for a review.

This book has such great small town energy, and did so much right. I loved the whimsy of a mermaid at the aquarium, and how Ursula is beloved by the town and so enamoured with turtles. I loved the contrast of the initial meeting and the shakeup of Max firing Molly and her dog from their jobs before he can even see the value they bring. I enjoyed the marine biology side of it as well!
This book is a great example of why there should be more older adults as side characters in romance novels - the seniors add such a fun energy with their sass, loyalty, and packed to the brim schedules. Having the town’s evening activities happening at the seniors living facility made for some fun hi-jinx and meddling.
Between the sweet little dog, and the burgeoning romance after the horrible first impression, this was a really fun read. Perfect for the beach, or if you’re yearning for the beach on a colder day!

Teri Wilson does a great job of creating these fun little rom-coms that just hit the spot. They check off all the boxes and I can't wait to read more of them in the future!
Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an arc for an honest review!

Cute premise but it got repetitive and a bit silly.
2nd in a series, but I doubt I'll be reading the others. .
Thank you Sourcebooks Casablanca and Netgalley for the opportunity to read a digital ARC in return for an honest review.

Grumpy Sunshine. Instant Attraction. Slow Burn. This was a lighthearted and fast read for someone looking for a romance with a coastal setting. The adorable puppy is also a nice bonus on this one. It felt like one of those romances you have read thousands of times, and you already know the ending before you get there. This one wasn't anything special or over the top, just your average but good romance. I felt like the characters needed more in-depth ness for me to want to love it more. Teri Wilson is perfect for someone who wants to step into romance but slowly with some cuteness.

A line in the Sand is the latest release in the Turtle Beach series by Teri Wilson. It is about Molly who works at the aquarium as a mermaid and Max the new director of the aquarium and of course Ursula, Molly’s puppy. In order to try to save the aquarium Max makes a hasty decision to fire Molly and her adorable sidekick Ursula. Will Max do the right thing and hire Molly back, when he realizes that she is more than just the aquarium’s mermaid with an adorable sidekick? Will they find a way to save the aquarium? I encourage everyone to read A Line in the Sand to find out?
I really enjoyed reading Max and Molly’s story and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a romantic comedy. I have to say that for me Ursula was the star of the story, what with all her cuteness, smarts, loving nature, and her very unique ability that will make a huge difference for sea turtles in the area.

This was a cute romance without a ton of depth or angst. I very much enjoyed the quirky elderly community and their meddlesome ways. Some of the creative yoga pose names cracked me up. Max and Molly were a perfect grumpy/sunshine trope and I loved the beach setting. If you’re looking for a quick beach read that keeps it clean and has lots of cute animals and old ladies then this one is definitely for you!

I did really like this book. It was incredible charming. The characters were delightful and easy to love. The premise was original and allowed for the main character to work together on the most fun way without changing who they are. It was fun to see the whole town take sides and will their relationship into existence. Overall incredibly wholesome and heartwarming read.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! I'm giving it four stars instead of five because it took me a while to get used to the writing style, but other than that, it's a solid read! So, if you're looking for a clean romantic comedy, this is an excellent choice! Now that I know it's the SECOND of a series, I plan to read the first book too.
Thank you to Netgalley & publishers for allowing me an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

A Line in the Sand is a super cute, fun, and easy summer read. Set in Turtle Bay, I loved all the references to sea creatures, mythology, as well as marine biology. Cute characters, meddling old ladies, and an adorable puppy sidekick make this a fun one!
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for my e-arc of this book. All opinions here are my own.
