This slow burn novel is a first from Tracy Goodwin for me. Marketed as an enemies to lovers but more of an almost friends, to friends to lovers. I feel put in the right category the book will find its perfect audience.
Amelia and Kyle are wonderful characters. Kyle being my favorite as an all around nice guy who knows how to take the initiative. The banter was entertaining but at times monotonous feeling almost repetitive in parts. The over telling of the dialog with long explanations into things that I didn’t feel were pertinent to the story left me skipping some paragraphs all together with an eye roll.
Overall this is a solid 3.5 star book and in the right hands will most definitely be a 5!
Thank you Sourcebooks Casablanca and Netgalley for this e-arc read

What a hilarious domestic work of fiction! Tracy Goodwin has crafted a story that will make you cry laughing and is wildly relatable to those of us who’ve ever had to deal with wildly particular neighbors.

This book offers a lot more than a love story, though honestly the love story is a very small part of the story. In addition to providing the slowest slow burn ever, it offer excellent commentary on parenting, life, relationships, and standing up for what you believe in. I found the MCs and their relationship really sweet despite them both being pretty wishy washy about what they wanted. I really appreciated the way Amelia was depicted-the mom guilt representation was amazing and incredibly realistic. This was a cute story, but I found the flow to be a bit weird.
I was given an ARC of this book by NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca. All opinions are my own.

I loved it! This was such a cute book! It was adorable! And also mom power! Thought me even though it has mom romance doesn’t me the romance can’t be exciting. Definitely worth the read.

I really liked this book. I think the characters were very well developed and I loved all of the little personality quirks and cute things throughout the book. I really, really hated Carla, what was her problem?
Super cute tropes as well, with the sort of instant attraction paired with the enemies(take this very lightly, they don't hate each other or are actively against one another, just a small thing as he is the president of the HOA and she's a little against some of his views, you could say?) sort of thing. I think you should go read this ASAP.
4 stars overall, read it, read it, read it!
I was invited to read a free e-ARC of With Neighbors Like This by Tracy Goodwin through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine.

Recently divorced & basically abandoned mother of two, Amelia, moves with her children to a suburban Houston TX neighborhood. All she wants is to live a normal life with her kids but that doesn’t seem to be in her cards just yet. An HOA rep starts giving her problems & Ameila is up for the fight.
Such a cute, light, laugh out loud read!
The whole family is funny & Amelia & Kyle have some great banter!
Thanks NetGalley & Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC in exchange for my review.

Amelia Marsh makes a simple promise to her children, when they move to Houston suburbs. Her children’s gift of small hand-painted gnome sets of a war with the HOA patrol. An accidental meeting sparks a friendship between Amelia and HOA president Kyle Sanders. In spite of the feud, Kyle finds himself falling for the feisty single mom.
With Neighbors Like This is a fun “frenemies to lovers” romance. Amelia and Kyle are in very different places in their lives when they meet. Amelia’s history with her ex is heartbreaking and gives a realistic view of what it can be like for some children from divorced households.
It is a bit of a slow burn so if you're wanting something with a lot of spice this may not be the book for you. I would consider this book to be more “happy for now” than “happily ever after”.
This is the first book that I have read from author Tracy Goodwin and really enjoyed her style. While the book does have some heavier plot points, they are written in a realistic and sensitive way.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca!

This book was a little difficult to get absorbed into at first. I love how strong Amelia is, as a woman and as a mother. Kyle's character felt flat to me initially. It was hard for me to believe his perspective because he claimed he wouldn't date another mom, yet he was practically in love with her a few chapters into the book. By the end though, he definitely grew on me and I absolutely loved how much he loves Jacob and Chloe. I think some more character development on Kyle's side in the beginning would bring this book up to 5 stars for me.

Recently divorced mother Amelia Marsh moves to Houston with her two kids. She quickly ends up with a disagreement with the HOA representative over a garden gnome. Amelia is determined to fight for what she believes is right. She begins an friendship with the attractive HOA President Kyle. Will she win the war?
I loved this book. Even though I do not have children I found Amelia a very relatable character. I really enjoyed her friendship with Kyle and how great he was with her children. I have to admit I was sad when the book was over because I wanted more.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC.

When divorced mom of two Amelia Marsh moves to a idealism northern suburb of Houston, all she wants is a bit of normalcy for her kids. But when a disagreement between Amelia and the HOA representative over whether or not her children's garden gnome violates the association's rules, Amelia doesn't back down creating well a budding war…. HOA President Kyle Sanders would begin to be a good friend-and something more-if Amelia wasn't gearing up for battle with the HOA in her determination to make her house a home and her neighborhood a community...
Cute love/ frenenemies read. This one had a lot of laughs and fights for her family. The chemistry with her and Kyle was there but not entirely convincing. Amelia’s kids add a lot of humour and
Al in all a cute little chick flick read. I can’t really even describe a reason why it didn’t grab me and left me wanting more but I think it might just boil down to a personal preference. I would be interested in reading more of this author to see if she would be one I’d continue to read.

Amelia Marsh is a recent divorcee with two young children. When her husband decided to leave her he also decided to have no further contact with his children. She promises her children when they moved that she will proudly display the gnome they made in the front yard. This instantly creates controversy in the HOA. Amelia will go up against the HOA and its cute president Kyle to keep her promise to her children.
With Neighbors Like This is my first experience reading Tracy Goodwin's writing. She writes interesting characters that felt authentic. As much as I liked the dialogue between Amelia and Kyle, I felt like there was a lot of telling and not as much showing during the rest of the book. I felt myself skipping over paragraphs of miscellaneous information that I wasn't invested in. It's being marketed as this enemies to lovers book but Amelia really has no conflict with Kyle except that fact that he's the HOA president. He makes it very clear to her that he's not interested in fighting with her about the gnome and ever gives ideas on how to circumvent the rules. It's more of a friends to lovers in that Amelia friend zone's him for 99 percent of the book. I really enjoyed the character of Kyle. He seems like an all around nice guy. I love a man who will take charge and will figure out what his partner needs without them asking. The relationship that Amelia has with her friends felt authentic. They are supportive but going through their own issues just like a real friendship. This book felt less of a romance and more of a story about finding yourself after a divorce.

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
When this book is marked as an enemies to lovers, they mean it. HOA is after Amelia and we all know the HOA is the real enemy.
Amelia has great chemistry with Kyle and I like how he interacts with her kids too. I enjoyed this book though I normally tend to read about people without kids. It's a fun read that isn't too serious and is full of funny moments.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for an ARC.
This was fun and sweet with enjoyable characters.

A single mom fighting for what's right to make a new home for her kids
Enemies-to-lovers romance by way of the Homeowners Association
Building a community of friends and neighbors
What makes a house a home is the people inside, not the décor outside
This was a very enjoyable sweet romance with so much more meaning behind it. Yes you have the enemies to lovers romance, but you also have a female main character showing her kids how to be strong and to stick up for yourself and to keep your integrity. You have a love interest who is a good man and shows the kids that there are still good men in the world(their father is a deadbeat).
I needed a good romance to break up all the heavy books I have been rereading and this was it.

A hilarious story... Amelia is such a feisty person. I love how she fights for her family. She has great chemistry with Kyle. Love their banter. Her kids are funny too. A terrific story...
