This is a fast paced read with lots of action. There is lots of character development. A great psychological thriller
Absolute roller coaster of a book constantly kept me guessing
Thank you so much for the ARC.
Well written, great characters and just keeps you guessing until the end.

This book was a roller coaster! The suspense kept me wanting to read just a bit more every time before putting it down. Can’t wait to read more from this author!
Great plot to get yourself lost in. This book has everything. A real fast paced thriller. Will get your heart racing on more than one occasion. Very well written. Highly recommend this book To all
This was a good story, I was intrigued as to what was gonna happen and I'm glad I picked it up! Want to read more from this author
Ashley Beegan is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. She writes fantastic thrillers that centers around some type of mental issue. In this book, she has added lots of twists and turns just when the reader thinks they know what is going on. The book has strong characters, good writing, and the author’s writing style is engaging page after page.
My only complaint, this book needs a better title.

Overall it was an interesting plot but there were things I couldn’t stand. There was the overly vulgar language. Most of the time it wasn’t necessary and really took me out the story. The sex scene was also meh in my opinion. I think there was just a lot in this book that could have been omitted in terms of language and since it wasn’t it really just took up a lot of space that could’ve been used in a better way.
What a good psychological thriller. It twisted and turned and was full of suspense. The outcome of this book kept me guessing until the end and was not a let down.
I love a good psychological thriller and this one went above my expectations! The twists and turns, the suspense, the shock factors! It was all enough to keep me reading, especially as I got closer to the end. I really enjoy The author's writing style and the way she builds her characters.
I was a big fan of Lucy's Coming For You, the first book in this series. Yet Mother... Liar... Murderer? is even better! ...I found it difficult to put the book down. Instantly and completely immersed me in storyline.
First time I've tried this author and would definitely try again.
This book was interesting with some good twist and turns. Though the characters didn't really grab me I would still recommend it as a good read.
Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this book.
Astrid is nervous. But not too nervous that she wouldn’t kill to protect her son. Her only son. Her only real family. Sophie loves Ben. He is the love of her life. But is he really the one?
This book kept me intrigued throughout. It was an easy read and told the story from several POVs. I still found it easy to follow however. A decent, quick read. I haven’t read the first book in the series, but picked this up quickly, so it can be read as a stand-alone.
This book took me by suprise not my usaly book but gave it a go. The twist and turns went above my expectations. It was fasted paced and gripping tape which kept me guessing until the end.
No Spoilers
I am an avid thriller reader and was interested to read this title. The story itself is gripping and has many twists and turns that somehow link. The writing was good, although confusing at times.
The main theme of these book is crime thriller with aspects of murder and rape, although there are other themes running through the book, such as motherhood, family love and protection, and investigative/detective sidelines.
I would recommend this book for 18+ readers who enjoy crime thriller and horror. It is a little more gruesome than your average 'murder mystery' so I would probably not recommended it for fans of Agatha Christie / Louise Candlish unless you are wanting to branch out with your reading.
Overall, I would recommend and I enjoyed this title.
I enjoyed trying to pull the different strands of this quite complex novel together and thought the police procedural element gelled quite well with the psychological element.
This was a well plotted and the characters were well rounded. Themes of mental well being, coercive realtionships and abuse were handled effectively and sensitively whilst showing the longlasting effects of them on the victims.
The characterisation was well rounded and I would definitely read another book in this series.
This isn't really a stand alone book. Reviewers have said it's fine if you haven't read the first book but I disagree and have not read it. I felt lost, struggled to follow who was who.
well written with good characters and a good storyline. It was suspenseful, mysterious and full of unpredictability. A really enjoyable read.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review the book. This was not a great read for me. Rather disappointed as enjoyed the first one in the series
I haven't read the first book in the series although, apart from some initial confusion about who the characters were and how they were connected, it did not detract from my enjoyment of the book. My only other niggle was in trying to engage with Sophie/Astrid, but I accept that there are reasons (explained as the story progresses) why she was a difficult, challenging character. Nonetheless, I was eager to know what happened to her and, especially, to her son Harry. Overall, this was a compelling, easy-to-read book that I really enjoyed.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for providing me with an ARC, in exchange for an honest review.
Mother...liar...murderer? By Ashley Beegan.
The Advocate Series Book 2.
Eleven years ago, Astrid Moor got away with murder. Now, someone wants to make her pay.
Astrid turns to Alex Swanson for help, the officer who risked everything for her once before. Except he’s a big shot DI now, and isn’t prepared to help her again.
But even though she's alone Astrid doesn’t take kindly to threats, and when she finally realises who is terrorising her she makes a decision she will never recover from.
A decision with far worse consequences than any secrets from her past.
A very good read with good characters. I did like the story and cover. 4*.
