This is not nearly as much about face massage as the synopsis makes it seem. James goes into skin products, sleep, mood, diet and much more and how it all affects the skin. There's a very comprehensive 4 week plan that involves things like what you do, what you eat, what you use on your face, exercise, facial massage, etc. It feels a little overwhelming but is good information.
I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for review.
Lots of helpful tips and tricks. Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I'm a sucker for promises of glowy skin and perfect complexions; I've put egg whites and avocadoes and turmeric and who knows what else on my face, so I'm always down to try something new. This book didn't particularly engage me though.
An excellent, enjoyable and practical read from renowned facialist Abigail James. Lots of useful tips and tricks covering lifestyle as well as skin and beauty. Easy to follow massage guide, my skin already looks a little firmer and lifted after only a week.
I enjoyed this book, I thought there was so many things packed into this book. Lots of helpful tips and idea’s, I also like the diagrams that explained things like the skin’s anatomy. I thought this was very useful.
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
Love the idea, great content and clearly researched very well. Does not work as an E-book. Very hard to read/follow, pictures do not link to the content and are all over the place, and we are unable to see the colours as described.
Good information and instructions. I am most likely to take into account the information about supplements, food and physical improvements over the actual massage. But good information to keep myself informed when I go to visit my therapist.
When downloading to the Netgalley app or my kindle it appears to show the wrong title. It comes up with 'mov3 your body more at your desk by a completely different author and not the glow face massage book that I was expecting. At first I thought it was a kindle downloading error but I have tried to download to the netgalley app and get the same thing.
This was not a book about facial massage as the description suggested, instead my netgalley app downloaded a book about movement at your desk. That was an interesting book, and I did take the time to read it, but it wasn't at all the book that was described.
