Thanks to Netgalley and Random House Children’s for the advance Kindle copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 for this murder mystery. A teen returns to her hometown four years after the murder of a beloved teacher, which rocked their private school community. She gets an internship with a true crime show, which leads her to dig more into the murder. However, there is someone out there that doesn’t want her digging. The twists were good, but some of the details were a bit on the mature end. Recommended for grades 9+.

This is a great young adult mystery and the narrators were excellent. I absolutely loved Brynn and Tripp! The true crime / podcast element was cool and I had so much fun working alongside Brynn to find out what actually happened.

I do love a bit of Dark Academia, private school and Murder! McManus brings it once again with a killer setting, great characters and thrillingly fun.

The last time Brynn was in Sturgis, Massachusetts, she was a thirteen year old who had just dealt with the murder of her favorite teacher, Mr. Larkin. His body had been found in the woods behind the school by three of her classmates. The story was a drifter must have killed the teacher, but that never was proven. Brynn has also landed an internship on a true-crime show where she hopes they will investigate what really happened to Larkin. She also has to deal with old friendships. Including her former best friend, Tripp, who out of nowhere told her to leave him alone and stop being so obsessed with him in front of everyone in gym class in 8th grade. Brynn tries to keep her internship a secret from her classmates so she can gather information from them. And she really wants to know what her classmates saw in the woods when they found Mr. Larkin. And since Tripp was one of the people who found the teacher Brynn will have to try to connect with him.

There were parts of this story I enjoyed, but overall, I felt I was just too old for the book. I think as a YA book it's well written and the story will appeal to the age group it is meant for. Tripp and Brynn repairing their friendship was well done. I liked reading from each of their point of view as they alternated telling the story. This did feel like it will be a series or at least have a sequel because of a few loose threads left at the end of the story. It's hard to write a review without giving away spoilers for this story. If you enjoy YA books especially those with some mystery and sleuthing teens then this is one you should check out. While not all of it was my cup of tea it was still a good story. Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC.

After four years in Chicago, Brynn’s family is returning home to Massachusetts, and she is less than thrilled. It means returning to the prep school she grew up in—the prep school where her best friend decimated their friendship a few months before she left, where there is a line of division between the haves and have-nots, and where her beloved eighth grade English teacher was murdered. And that particular case is still unsolved.

But then again, maybe there is a bright side to moving back. Maybe Brynn can parlay her connection to that case into a way back into journalism and an addition to the achievements and activities column for her college applications. Maybe Brynn can figure out what really happened the day three of her classmates “found” their teacher dead in the woods.

Told in the alternating points-of-view of Brynn and Tripp, her former best friend and one of the kids who discovered Mr. Larkin in the woods, Nothing More to Tell is full of twists, turns, and red herrings and keeps you turning the page to find out more. There are mysteries wrapped up in mysteries and a sense of history being rewritten for the main characters. Karen M. McManus delivers suspense, the ups and downs of high school friendships, and a bit of romance as well.

I recommend picking up Nothing More to Tell if you are in the mood for a fast-paced YA murder mystery.

I received an advance copy from Random House Children’s, Delacorte Press, and NetGalley. All review opinions are my own.

Karen McManus needs no introduction..she is fantastic in her YA thrillers and this one hits the mark.
The plot is simple as such but as the secrets are unfolded fingers are pointed at a lot of people all having association with the victim and circumstance leading to his death
The pace was good and I didn't anticipate the murders when it was revealed. I just wished that there was a clear resolution in the end but may be it was left open for a sequel?
I liked that there was slight romance towards the end and if merged well with the mystery element.
The short and dual POVs were good as the insights are quite clear for both central MCs .
Thank you Netgalley and publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

McManus is the absolute queen of YA thrillers and this did not disappoint. It’s the age old story in a YA thriller; a fancy school, a teacher is dead and three teenagers found him.

Brynn has returned to St. Ambrose for her senior year, on a mission. She is interning for a true crime show and she wants to solve the cold case of Mr. Larkin’s death. This was a quick read that kept me guessing and loved the little callback to You’ll be the Death of Me.

“You’re holding a lot of secrets, Brynn. Be careful, that can wear a person down after a while”

I only count one McManus for fast paced mystery novels filled with plot twists.

Four years ago, Brynn’s favorite teacher, Mr.Larkin was murdered and three of her classmates were the ones to find his dead body in the woods behind the school. Including ex her best friend Tripp. Now her family has moved back to town and reenrolled her and her sister in the school. With starting an internship at a true crime show, Brynn is determined to solve the mystery.

I think this is my 2nd favorite work of Karen M. McManus after two can keep a secret. Honestly she is my favorite YA author. Her writing style is always a delight to read! It was difficult for me to stop reading the book to run an errands because I had to know what was going to happen next. The amount of secrets the book had made my head hurt in a good way.

McManus also added a lot of realism in the book by exploring the theme of grief and trauma in a way I haven’t read in her previous books. Just imagine being a middle schooler and have to deal with the consequences of the action you took to protect yourself or someone you care about.

I enjoyed the dual POVS of both Brynn and Tripp. I really appreciated it because we get to know the characters in depth. Plus their relationship was so cute I think they are my favorite couple (sorry bronwyn and Nate). Something about best friends to strangers to lovers working on a crime fills my heart with butterflies.

However I do have an issue with the ending. There was a huge build up and the ending wasn’t it for me but somehow it fits the plot and the characters around it. Maybe the reason why McManus ended it that because there might be a book two. That’s my theory.

A huge thank you to Karen McManus & Penguin Random House for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Another fun and fast paced mystery from McManus!

An intriguing enough story full of twists and red herrings, YA and adult mystery readers alike will enjoy their time spent reading this.

Brynn left St. Ambrose 4 years ago shortly after the still unsolved murder of her favorite teacher Mr. Larkin. Determined to get an internship with a popular true crime podcast, Brynn pitches Mr. Larkin's story. The more Brynn digs into the past the more secrets she finds. Maybe Mr. Larkin wasn't so great after all, because there are a lot of people who may have wanted him gone. I think it's safe to say that Karen McManus is my favorite YA author. I loved this book. Her writing style is impeccable. I enjoyed the dual POV's of Brynn and Tripp. There are a ton of red herrings, and I did not guess the outcome. I am hoping this is the start to another great series. Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for my eARC of this book.

Thank you so much to Karen McManus, NetGalley & Random House for an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I have been meaning to read Karen McManus prior works but as any book lover will tell you, there's just not enough time in the day. BUT after reading this (my first one of hers) I need to start reading the copies of the ones I do own of hers. I absolutely ate this up.

After being away for 4 years, Brynn and her family are moving back to Massachusetts and she is going back for senior year to her old high school - Saint Ambrose. When she was there last, she was in 8th grade and one of her favorite teachers was mysteriously killed. After having an opportunity to intern with a crime podcast, she thought having the backing of the podcast would help look into the murder.

"That's the thing nobody ever tells you about being involved in a murder; tends to keep you up at night."

I was hooked on this book from the very beginning. I love the fact that we got the two point of views, Brynn & Tripp, but also two different timelines - present day & 4 years ago.

I thought the pacing of this book moved quickly. I had no clue what was going to happen and even though the twists weren't gasp worthy, they were enough to make me go "oh my." One thing that did make me happy, as primarily a romance reader, I liked that there was a touch of that thrown in. And I would've been so upset if Tripp ended up not being as genuine as he was coming across.

As far as YA thriller goes, this has been my favorite and will now compare all the others that.I read to this.

#NothingMoreToTell:⁣

Thank you so much @prhaudio for the gifted audiobook!⁣

“You’re holding a lot of secrets. Be careful. That can wear a person down after a while.”⁣

Karen M. McManus is autobuy for me. I believe I’ve read every single book she’s written. So of course I’m going to be excited for NMTT! This book had a lot of complicated stories, red herrings, and teenage drama.⁣

This book was actually kind of hard to rate. I liked the characters, Tripp and Brynn, but the ending just gets me. It’s a huge build up and the resolve just wasn’t there for me. I loved the alternative POVs with Tripp also including his “four years ago” POV. You slowly pull on the thread bit by bit until the ending showing the complete unraveling. Once the spool is empty, there’s still some “what’s ifs” and I’m a wrapped in a bow ending kind of gal. ⁣

I loved a lot of the side characters. For instance, Ellie and her trap. It was EXACTLY what I thought it was going be and I was screaming/cheering for how genius it was. I did figure out the killer early on, but it wasn’t annoying to know. The red herrings had me doubting myself and I felt they were really good and executed well. I felt like I was a mom pushing her child to understand that 2+2=4. (It’s 5, no… but you’re close!! 3.. almost.. let’s try again)⁣

Audio was wonderful! Jesse Vilinsky as Brynn and Andrew Eiden as Tripp were great. The pacing was perfect and I felt they complimented each other well. I listened the majority of the day yesterday and couldn’t get enough of it. ⁣

While The ending did leave me wanting more, it was still a fun YA listen. With so many twists and turns, it’s hard to know who to believe! I can easily see this being adapted into a TV show like previous McManus books. Thank you again @prhaudio and @getunderlined for the gifted copy. Nothing More to Tell is out 8/30! ⁣

QOTD: We all know I’m so bad at book titles. I kept calling this “Nothing Left to Tell” What’s a title of a book/movie/song you (or someone you know) has gotten wrong?

I was really looking forward to the newest McManus YA Mystery and I’m happy to say I really enjoyed it! This time around we have just two POV’s, Tripp and Brynn, which I actually appreciated because it allowed us to get to know them both a bit better when they weren’t competing for time with so many others. This was a fast paced plot with plenty of twists to keep you guessing. I did have an idea of who done it, but it wasn’t so much that it was obvious as I just made a good guess! I think these were some of the author’s most likable characters too, which really made me enjoy spending time with them! Yes they still made bad decisions, but they are teenagers so its kinda expected. I did feel like the ending was a tad rushed. There were a several unresolved issues and I couldn’t tell if this was on purpose to set up a follow up book, or if it was meant to leave you with some unaswered questions.

I really enjoyed this on and split time with the audiobook and ebook. The audiobook has a male and female narrator for the two POV’s and both were excellent. I highly recommend YA mystery lovers pick this one up! Thanks @delacortepress and @netgalley for the DRC and @prhaudio for the ALC. Nothing More to Tell will be out on August 30!

I am a massive fan of Karen M. McManus's writing - her YA thrillers are a staple in the book community, and NOTHING MORE TO TELL is a wonderfully creepy new addition to the table.

Karen's writing is fast-paced and incredibly detailed - she always leaves you guessing and with more questions than answers every time something new is revealed. I can never guess the twist in her stories, which I believe shows how talented she is at her craft.

NOTHING MORE TO TELL takes childhood friendships, loyalty, and a passion for journalism and chasing down the truth to a whole other level, and it is a wild ride from start to finish.

Another homerun for Karen McManus and gift for the YA mystery lovers. Brynn has moved back to her hometown and to her old school, St. Ambrose, after being away for a few years. Her last year at St. Ambrose, a favored teacher, Mr. Larkin was found dead in the woods by 3 students. The murder was never found.

Now Brynn is back and interning at a true crime podcast where she pitches this unsolved crime. She's trying to fit back into St. Ambrose and her old friends, but that's proving to be a challenge. As she starts asking questions about Mr. Larkin's murder and suspects grow, Brynn is faced with threats and even violence. How far will she go to get the story? Will she have any friends after this? Brynn must decide what is more important, peoples' lives or the story.

This one was great. I'm a huge McManus fan so I was expecting no less! It was twisty and turny and full of jaw dropping moments and I couldn't put my Kindle down. I absolutely loved it. 4.5 stars!

Wow! Karen M. McManus really has a way of weaving together mysteries that take you down every possible direction with twists and turns every chapter. The concept of a young journalist taking on a murder investigation isn't a new one but Nothing More to Tell really felt fresh to me and it was a fun read for sure. There was a point in the book where I suspected nearly everyone and I was still thrown for a loop at the end, which I guess I should have known would happen.

Pros:
Multiple Pov from two strong and likeable characters.
Expertly weaved plot
Strong background characters
Great characterization in general

Cons:
The pacing feels a little off to me, but it was still a page turner

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this roller coaster of a book and highly recommend it to mystery/thriller lovers!

Karen McManus continues to be an auto-read author as I love her YA thrillers. This one follows Brynn as she investigates the murder of a teacher four years earlier, looking into the three classmates who found the body.

I enjoyed this mystery -- it wasn't totally shocking or tense, but the characters were great. It's told between Brynn and Tripp's points of view and I loved getting each of their perspectives as we piece the story together and uncover secrets along the way. There was great character growth and some details are revealed in the end that have me crossing my fingers we may get a sequel. Any excuse for more time with Brynn and Tripp :) Recommend this for fans of Holly Jackson and Maureen Johnson.

Traditional, as it comes to McManus, a prep school murder mystery. Though, she keeps it fresh with new ideas and new twists and turns. The time is always right for a McManus ya mystery
