This is a fun an educational book with adorable illustrations. I think my students will love reading about the various adventures that these characters go on, as well as learning some fun animal facts along the way. I think this is a great way to introduce knowledge without using a nonfiction book in your library.

I really loved this adorable children's graphic novel. It had a nice blend of humor, adventure, fiction and non-fiction. Mole and Vole are big time adventurer's. Vole tends to enjoy a little bit of danger, while Mole prefers to play it safe. When they inadvertently move from the countryside to the city, their adventures start to look a little different. I loved how the author and illustrator included factual information on Mole and Vole's adventures and that Mole created a map of the days events. There were also several suggestions for activities in the back of the book. The art was adorable. I will be looking out for more from this author and illustrator. A great choice for readers that enjoy graphic novels with humor and/or nonfiction.

Expedition Backyard by Rosemary Mosco and Binglin Hu is one of the cutest and sweetest stories you will read this year. Seeing the world from the perspective of our rodent friends makes the tale even more touching and adorable. I read it over and over again!
