I was interested in MORTAL FIRE due to having heard Elizabeth Knox's name around as being a weird and wonderful Oceania YA author. And yes, while MORTAL FIRE was definitely wonderfully weird in its world-building, unfortunately I could not connect to the characters and their story, and therefore left this unfinished.
