I guess I wasn't expecting this to be as gritty as it was. The main character was an absolute badass but otherwise it just wasn't my cup of tea.
From the minute I opened the book and started reading the first chapter, I was hooked. We follow along the story of a woman who hunts people down for justice or information, taught by her uncle. When her uncle goes into hospital, she is left to uncover the mess he has left behind. What she doesn't realise is that it all started with her dead dad.
I had no idea what I was walking into, which was perfect! As a reader, I was taken along with Suzie as she uncovers all these twists and turns. Swann effectively throws in plot twists, red-herrings and clues throughout the novel, and you never want to put the book down because of it.
The pacing is perfect, each paragraph and chapter lends into the next very well, not leaving the reader feeling disjointed. Swann has a brilliant writing style and I look forward to reading more of his works.
Highly recommend this gem of a read!
God I felt like it was going on and on, got to 35% and nothing had really happened. I just was dreading picking it up back up to read
Good book overall, although I feel like since there were references to events in the past, like we were supposed to know about them, pretty much confirmed this is a sequel or another installment. I didn’t mind too much, didn’t make it too hard to follow the plot. I was kept entertained although it took a little bit to get going for me.
I stopped at 34%. I felt like the language was a bit harsh to me but anything than that was ok. I really wanted to like this book or maybe It wasn't the best time for this reading. WIll try again later.
I couldn’t finish this book, I got to 24% and I felt like so much had happened but nothing of any substance. I hate not finishing books but I couldn’t bring myself to carry on reading. It just didn’t grab my attention. The MC seems like a badass but that’s all. I felt like there was a book beforehand that I hadn’t read with things kept being mentioned about the year before I just felt like I was missing lots of information.
Christopher Swann captured my interest from the first paragraph to the last word!
NEVER GO HOME is very well-written, with an awesome group of characters.
This story is involving and pacey with plenty of action and suspense.
Swann knows how to weave a great story into a tense, twisty story you'll never see coming.
All in All I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was intriguing and super fast paced straight

Susannah Faulkner grew up wild, her stubbornness the only thing harder than her heart. Since then, she’s used her skills to put a boot in the faces of those who deserve it. She knows she’s wired wrong and living a dangerous and violent life, but she’s determined to wring something decent from the world before she leaves it.
Then she gets word her brother Ethan needs her help and returns home to Atlanta. But in the airport, she finds her Uncle Gavin suffering a heart attack. Before he is rushed to the hospital, Gavin whispers a single word to Suzie: Peaches. She’s determined to uncover the meaning behind the cryptic message, but Ethan is also deep in trouble. An ex-soldier and ex-con named Finn appeared on his doorstep with a disturbing story:
Awesome book. I definitely recommend this.
