I read this book originally under the old title, however it never hurts to go back and read a book that touches you. Sam and Holly are the opposites, however they work together to get Wyldfire Whiskey in the hands of the right people for a successful introduction.
There is more to life than love and whiskey in this book it is the perfect mix

Hot hot hot fake romance story. She lusted after him since high school and needs health insurance. His fiance cheated and he is on the rebound. So the two hook up for a fake relationship. This is a steamy story with and interesting story line. It was a good story.

A new book, same plot.

Sam needs to reverse the fire that happened after his fiancée left him for his brother. Scandal in sight!
To put out this fire? He needs something even bigger, and for that, he hires Holly Glen, an event planner who knows how to throw a party to remember.
With that also comes the idea of him and Holly faking a relationship, so everyone would think he's over his cheating ex-fiancée, right?
Everything can go wrong when Holly wins the businessman's heart.

I haven't read the book in the previous version (which looks like it was short story). This contains new scenes, new editing and cover art.

This book was a cute read, I really loved Holly she is hardworking, kind, takes no crap, and has been through so much tragedy. She lost so much in an accident she had with her family and she owns her own event coordinating business, but she is struggling because her sister is in an expensive hospital under a coma. Sam comes from old money; his family is the richest in town, yet he doesn’t have much to do with many of his family members due to an event that wrecked his world. The Wylde family came off as seriously dysfunctional because one second they would be laughing and tolerating each other then the next Sam would mention how much he hated his brothers (still not sure why he hated Sterling so much, Grady I understood why he hated him though). I hated how his family took the side of others than Sam's and just ignored his feelings about why he would be mad and not reconcile with his brother. I honestly couldn’t understand how any of his family could sit by and watch what was happening go on and then tell Sam with pity in their eyes to pretty much get over it. When Sam and Holly reunite it’s under the pretense that they are helping each other but as time moves on, they are falling for each other. This was a cute read but some places would have repeat sentences in the same paragraph or a page over, I thought the ending felt a tiny bit rushed with all the events that were happening, and some places it skimmed over things instead of showing us what was happening behind the scenes, but overall it was a cute and easy read.

This is a light, fun romance with great characters.

A real easy read with the story seeming to fly by.

So if you want something that is not to heavy I would certainly recommend this.

That was a fun and steamy read. I haven't read a fake fiance story for a while and this one was entertaining.

Sam and Holly both have a need, so a marriage of convenience is no bad thing, and to help things along they have chemistry.

The Wylde family couldn't be better named, they are wild. Nanna was a character.

Their story actually made me tear up, along with steam up at times.

A good read

Although not a book I would purchase in my professional role, it is one that I will be recommending in my personal life! Thank you so much for allowing me to have access to the digital arc!

Second Shot of Whiskey by Sarah Robinson was a great read, the hero and heroine had great chemistry and it was just fluffy enough, it gave me "chesapeak shores" vibes through it. I do feel that there was missed potential in the climax of the story. The leading characters, Sam and Holly, were on a great tragectory but as a reader, we never get there.

This is a nice summer read, if you can accept all the loose ends and messy side characters that seem to drop off a cliff. The romance is sexy, sweet, heartbreaking but above all else it is fun.

Such a fun ride. So much that i really wish it was a little longer. Good characters and lively writing. Some adorable fluff scene but it felt rushed too at the same time. Definitely needed some more space and time for this story. Overall i enjoyed this.

I struggled with this book - as a romance, it didn't hit the mark for me.

*Below are unavoidable SPOILERS* - I’m unable to avoid talking about them in this review as I need to do so in order to explain why I didn’t like the book.

This was supposed to be light entertainment with a happy romantic ending. In Robinson’s attempts to create character depth, I felt the author was lazy in the creation of her motivations. I struggled with Robinson's plot points around Holly's background. I felt the car accident, her parents’ deaths and the sister's coma was somewhat of a cheap shot. In a crime or thriller, I think it could have been fitting. While I understand that Holly’s financial pressures were necessary for Robinson's plot line, in these modern times, I think it is smacks of situational coercion that is dated and unnecessary where you can choose less harmful tropes when you’re trying to write a romance. I also don’t feel that insurance fraud, even for the best of reasons, is particularly sexy or romantic. The speed at which they fell for each other then felt artificial.

The story became even more disturbing when Robinson choose to fridge Suzie when she was no longer necessary as a motivational trope, and she got feedback from readers that they wanted to know if she survived. It was a further disappointment for me that killing her off was her attempt to resolve the emotional tension, and quite frankly salt in the wound. I dislike female victims acting as a plot device more than a real character, especially those who are never given agency or depth. It's especially disheartening in female authors. Some of the side characters and penned banter were welcome light relief but it was not enough to change my overall opinion of the book. I will not be reading more of this author.

An easy brief read, based on a combination of steamy fiction, family frictions and potential romance. Overall okay read.

A flirtatious and sexy story that is loaded with all sorts of emotions as the MC Sam & Holly set out on the road of one of my favorite tropes - fake relationship-to-love. This story has plenty of scorching hot, pulse pounding, sexy scenes that will leave breathless and in need of a cigarette! However underneath the sex and romance this story follows a journey of betrayal, tragedy, and learning to forgive.

Overall 4 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 5 Flames 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

So much fun! A grinchy guy wants to throw a launch party for his new product, but doesn't want help from his brother or cheating ex-girlfriend who married his brother. He opts for help from a Party Planner, who is over the top happy, giggly and has a zest for life. Which totally rubs him the wrong way. At first.

Sadly I didn't enjoy this one.
The main characters were very immature and the dialogue was off and very childish.
I couldn't understand the mcs supposed chemistry because all I saw was lust.
Also, as someone who grew up around the business of 'alcoholic beverages" none of the information was believable.
Overall there was potential but the story lacked of depth.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review
