I ADORED THIS BOOK! It was just too cute. Avery is a wedding planner and Tyler is a photographer. They’re working together for the same wedding. They get off to a very rocky start on their first meeting, in front of their client no less, but they’re stuck together for months because this bride wants the entire planning process documented by her photographer. There’s lots of snark and sarcasm and of course chemistry, but Avery isn’t interested in love and Tyler isn’t either so they both fight it for a very long time. Their disdain for one another starts to fade when they are riding back from a meeting and find a stray puppy. Tyler’s dad is a vet so he takes the dog in at the office until they can find an owner but I loved all of the visits Avery and Tyler would make to see the dog. SO CUTE!
I won’t give away much more of the story than that but this was a very cute clean romance with lots of fun banter and lots of talk about pictures, so basically I loved it.
This book was all the feels and all the laughs! What a perfect combination! Avery is very career minded and has no time for live in her life, which is ironic since she is a phenomenal wedding planner. She was raised to put work first and conquer all her career goals. Enter the very annoying wedding photographer, Tyler who is now capturing every moment of the huge wedding Avery is now planning. The banter is so good and there are so many LOL moments. I love watching them slowly not hate each other so much. And did I mention there is the cutest little puppy that keeps bringing them together? Will Avery choose career over love!?? You will have to read to find out!!!
Delightfully sweet, Avery and Tyler's story is an adorable ending to the wedding trio.
I love books where the characters grow together and this book is a sweet example of just that; two very driven people who find themselves driven together by a bride.
Just like all of her books, it was a sweet, clean romance and a pleasure to read.
Avery is happy on her own - though she loves her job as wedding planner, marriage isn't for her. When a bride requests that not just the wedding day itself but also the wedding preparations be documented by the wedding photographer, she remains professional even though said photographer dared to hint that he knew how to do her job better than she did herself. But as they spend more time together, he starts to get under her skin in a somewhat different way. Nevertheless, life is all about a schedule, and there's no room in her schedule for love - is there?
This was hilarious, but more than just fluff. There's no way I'd ever want to be a wedding planner, but I loved this glimpse into Avery's life - and Tyler's too, for that matter. Watching the two of them gradually develop through their interactions and long-denied relationship was fun but also touching. I particularly enjoyed some of the photography scenes, especially the last one - you'll have to read it to find out what I mean! With a cute puppy, 'who needs enemies when you have friends/family like that' scenes, and good, snappy dialogue, this clean, well written story is exactly what one needs at times to escape from 'life'. Recommended.
Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and Summer Dowell for providing me with an ARC of this novel.
It was an enjoyable, cute read! I highly recommend it if you want a lighthearted, sweet romance
I’ve always loved stories about the behind scenes of wedding planning; creatives involved in the wedding industry. And this series by Summer Dowell has been no exception. We started off with the baker then the florist and now finally, the wedding planner.
I absolutely loved this book. Tyler and Avery were a fantastic couple with sparks flying from the very first moment. A little bit of enemies to lovers, wedding planning, guy falls first, a cute dog, what more could you want. There was just so much to love about this book that I don’t know what to say except that you have to read this book.
If you haven’t read any of Summer’s books yet, then what are you waiting for? On Schedule is the third in the series, but can be read as a standalone. It is also my favourite of the three books.
This book was read thanks to NetGalley
I really liked this one, I know that I say that a lot, and every time I say it, I mean it, but this kind of character, like Avery, are neeaded in the romantic stories, because it rarely properly treatment women who want a career, usually that kind of women are villians, and they have to sacrifice part of themselves in order to get their HEA, and here yes Avery does some changes but not in order to get their partner but because she didn't have a healthy relationship with work, she was kind of a workholic and she gets the balance that she needs to be better. But yes, I really like the story.
I’m so excited to share my first ARC review! On Schedule by Summer Dowell comes out tomorrow, February 17!
On Schedule follows a hardworking and ambitious heroine, Avery who runs her own wedding planning business. While getting a snack after a dentist appointment which leaves her entire mouth numb, she runs into one of her clients, speaking to some guy that is just dissing her wedding ceremony recommendations. This guy, is none there than Tyler, the photographer for the wedding. Who, as per the bride’s request, is going to photograph the ENTIRE wedding planning process. YAY for Avery, jk.
This was such a fun and sweet read. The progression of the relationship and their chemistry was *chef’s kiss”. The cherry on top? It was all written in dual POV! I loved getting to hear both of their thoughts and how they were pining over each other for basically the entire book.
Aside from the cutesy romance, it was meaningful to see the internal struggles that Avery was going through. Coming from a family of workaholics, Avery is scared that her ambitiousness will interfere with her ability to care for a future relationship or family. It was so tragic to see how these experiences shaped how she approached her budding romance with Tyler. But it added a level of depth to the story that was really nice to see.
Overall, this book gives you all the butterflies that are deserving of a sweet romance, all while keeping it clean. I loved Summer Dowell’s writing. I had only read one of her books before, The Elle Project, but I already know that I’m gonna be diving into the rest of her books really soon. If you’re ever in the mood for a nice, sweet romance that will make it impossible for you to wipe your smile off your face, make sure to pick this up.
This story was just exactly what I needed to pick me up out of the winter blues! I've followed this series from the beginning, it doesn't necessarily need to be read in order, and couldn't wait for Avery's story. Let's just say from the first flannel shirt to the last Peanut M&M, this one hit the spot!
Avery is a wedding planner and I love the fast-paced nature of her job and personality, but the vulnerability she's covering makes her human and relatable. She's a favorite character of mine. From the moment Tyler sets foot in her life, everything was topsy-turvy and I couldn't get enough of the banter mingled in with wedding details.
Tyler is a pretty chill, laid back kind of guy, and Avery mixes with him like his Sour Patch Kids fruit smoothie. Her prickly, sour ways melt into a sweetness that oozed swoon.
The characters and situations kept a smile on my face and little Elvis stole my heart. I love everything about this author's writing style--she does RomCom sooo well!
Content: mild romance

Thank you so much to Summer Dowell and Netgalley for gifting me an ARC of 𝘖𝘯 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘭𝘦!
---------------
Avery is a highly committed wedding planner who is fantastic at what she does. Enter Tyler, an equally driven wedding photographer, who continuously offers up advice to their bride contradicting Avery's recommendations. He is invasive and obnoxious. But he's also charming, thoughtful, rocks flannel like none other, and consumes an impressive amount of Slim Jims. What's a girl to do?
I have thoroughly enjoyed the time I've spent reading Summer's 𝘞𝘦𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴. She never ceases to make me LOL with her witty and sarcastic humor. This series has been full of fantastic chemistry and everybody keeps their clothes on. (This prude's personal preference.)
𝘖𝘯 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘭𝘦 was a great choice during the month of love. It's sweet, funny and swoony. I have a feeling that this might be the favorite for animal lovers.😉
My Review
This is a brilliant book such a joy to read I loved both characters they so different to each other. It was full of fun and humour loved every page. I think summer Dowell is my new favourite author hope I read more book by her this year.
This was such a cute read!!
Avery is a career-driven, organized woman who doesn’t have time to breathe in her tightly planned days so when she meets the sarcastic and charming Tyler she’s not sure how to feel. She’s been in the wedding planning business for almost a decade and when she overhears Tyler insulting her choices to her client, Whitney she hopes she’ll never have to see him again.
Unfortunately the universe has plans because Whitney, her client is wants Tyler, who is the photographer to be there for every step of the planning taking photos.
Going on a few blind dates won’t hurt, Avery wants to please those around her and when her friends beg to help she relents, she ends up having two nightmarish dates that end in her swearing off ever letting Haley and Hope set her up again.
The worst part, she can’t help but compare them to Tyler.
After spending more time together Avery starts to wonder if she might feel more.
I loved this book the light airy atmosphere left me smiling and laughing along the way. I enjoyed the development of Avery and Tyler’s relationship and of course I love Elvis...
I also enjoyed the dual-POV as we could see just how much Avery and Tyler liked each other. Tyler helped Avery realize that she wouldn’t end up like her parents, she was kind and did everything she could to help others.
Thank you to NetGalley, Victory Editing, and of course Summer Dowell for writing this lovely book!
Pretty sure this is my favorite book of this adorable series! This friend group makes me smile!
Tyler and Avery don’t start off on the best foot and continue on rocky ground. After Tyler insults Avery at the very first meeting, it’s game on. This photographer and wedding planner duo get stuck together much more than the typical wedding calls for. They have to play nice in front of the bride but those little jabs have me cracking up.
This is such a fun and lighthearted book that was hard to put down. With a unique plot and fun scenes, I couldn’t get enough. Solid 5 star.
Thank you to Netgalley and the author for the gifted copy in exchange for an honest review. These opinions are my own
Avery is forced to spend the next few months working a wedding with the photographer who tried to undermine her before he'd even met her. Needless to say, they didn't start off on a good note. Now, with Tyler on her tail for every appointment, they have to get over bad first impressions and do their job. Which may or may not involve adopting a puppy and "business" lunches.
This book was a quick and easy read, full of sweet and tender moments between Tyler and Avery, who are both workaholics with no time for romance. Or so they think. A series of wedding appointments forces them to get to know each other despite their rocky start, and they both learn that maybe first impressions can be wrong. Also who can resist the temptation of coparenting a stray puppy?
It was soft and sweet, and I loved reading from both point of views and the mutual pining from both ends. It made me want to smush their faces together with all their stubbornness and just make them kiss. Plus, the puppy plot was incredibly cute and had my heart melting with every scene (who wouldn't want to coparent a dog with Tyler???) I enjoyed that I didn't suffer too long with all their personal character conflicts and that the resolution was just as sweet as the rest of the book. And I'm a sucker for a cute epilogue!!
This book was such a fun and laugh out loud read. I enjoyed every part so much. This books starts out with Haley and Hope enticing Avery to have a hallmark love. I laughed at that part because most rom coms do give off that hallmark vibe.
Avery is a wedding planner with a headstrong attitude. Tyler is a photographer filled with passion for his job and has a thing for plaid flannel shirts. They are thrown together and having to work together for one purpose. Lots of attitude, smiles, sarcasm, moments of tension that can be cut with a knife. And a cute puppy that will soften the most strict person. They both start to question their choices for relationships without the other knowing. There are parts of the book that I laughed at and cringed at all because her friends wanted her to be happy. There are parts that my heart broke, but overall this book is great. This is a clean read and only mentions kissing. It is a dual pov.
Thankful to be able to read this from the author/netgalley. My review is my own opinion.

I loved every minute of this book !!
Avery is your workaholic, list-making, notes-taking wedding planner, and Tyler is our free-spirited photographer and these two have to work together for a few months on a wedding...
This was an enemies to friends to lovers slow burn romance with a little puppy in the mix <3
Avery was a great main character. She was level-headed and I honestly wish I had her work ethic!
the banter between her and Tyler is super entertaining !!
This is a clean romance which means no spice -and if you know me by now you should know that all of the romance I read has the knee-trembling filthy smut in it- frankly this book was just as good without explicit sex scenes ! the chemistry was there, the writing was amazing and it was so so funny !!
This is part of an interconnected series where the main characters are besties but on schedule can be read as a stand-alone. I haven't read the previous books but since I loved this one so much I am looking forward to do so!
Thank you @netGally and @summers_pen for the e-arc.
Thank-you NetGalley and ARC provided by Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the chance to review this ARC.
Fan of closed-door romances will want to pick this one up, that and weddings!
This cover is absolutely adorable.
It was a cute and fun read.
The characters felt a little childish at times but overall, it was a fun read.
I liked Avery and Tyler’s relationship and their banter was really fun!
#BookReview : ON SCHEDULE by Summer Dowell
I am not a fan of all #romcom books but I will make an exception for this author. Her stories are laugh out loud but always with a heart. They are family oriented too which I appreciate.
I like weddings and this series gave me a glimpse into the hectic world of wedding planning. A perfect hallmark movie. I like that they are about three good friends. I got to revisit with Hope and Haley. Yay!
I have been looking forward to reading Avery’s story. She sounded so put together. Tyler thought so too but there’s more to Avery than what she portrays herself to be. Their first meeting was just so funny. I was smiling at least about 80% of the time. Oh, don’t forget about Avery’s dates!
I have enjoyed so many of the secondary characters. Tyler’s grandma was one of them. Elvis was so adorable too. Open communication and letting go of fears were part of the story
as well.
This was a delightful and sweet enemies-to-more clean romance. I’m glad I read this book at the right time. I needed a light and fun read.

This was a sweet and lighthearted romantic comedy - and a perfect February read! Avery was a determined, levelheaded person, Tyler was confident, funny and charming, and their conversations and banter was some of the best I've ever read! Both - but especially Avery - were afraid to commit and hid their insecurities behind their work personalities, but the chemistry was there from the beginning. Tyler's family was wonderful - not to mention Elvis! I give three and a half stars to this delightful Valentine read.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read this in advance and happy pub day on February 17!
A side note: this is in no way the fault of the writer and doesn't affect my rating, but for some reason this one was a bit hard to read: it kept jumping to the beginning, even if I tried to bookmark the page I was on, and the same happened when moving my device. Going back to the table of contents and trying to remember which chapter I was on was a bit tiring. This has never happened to me before.
"Tyler is a sarcastic comment followed by a warm smile. A salty bowl of popcorn paired with a sugary soda."
On Schedule is the perfect ending to this series and is definitely tied for my favourite with It's Just Business (you can't make me choose between Tyler and Austin). This time we're focused on wedding planner, Avery and photographer, Tyler. The pair have to work closely when one of their clients asks Tyler to take photos of all the behind-the-scenes and preparations before the big day. While they get off to a rocky start, they soon become friends even though they secretly both want to be more.
In the other books, Avery was always the organised straight-shooter out of the three main characters, but in On Schedule, we learn more about her upbringing and how this affects her adult life and relationships. I adored her chemistry with Tyler, which is apparent from the beginning thanks to the pair's tension and banter. I'm so glad we get to hear from his point of view as well.
This slow-burn romance is filled with swoony moments, as Tyler is a total charmer and definitely book boyfriend material. My favourites were basically every moment with Elvis the rescue dog and Thanksgiving dinner.
"Every ounce of female hormones in my body is being shot to my heart. Like a firing squad of estrogen or something." I feel you, Avery.
Overall, prepare to be swept off your feet by Summer's fun writing style. This is a closed-door romance perfect for fans of Sarah Adams and Emma St. Clair.
Thank you to Summer Dowell for the ARC in exchange for this honest review.
