Not my favorite Sarah dessen book. Lately I feel like the quality of writing and the engagement of the story has gone down.

Back when I requested this book Sarah Dessen was all the rage with my friends - not that shes's not popular now - but I am not as pressured to read her books. I'd read a few of her others and thought they were ok but never really got into the hype over her books. Trying to get through some of my older NG reads I checked this one out of the library and gave it a go. It was a quick read but not one that I especially liked. I wanted to love this book. But, I didn't. There were parts that I really enjoyed, but overall I felt like it was lacking... something. I'm just not sure what that "something" was though.

Classic Sarah Dessen. Great to read in the summer. In this book, the romance was a bit different than in her others. I liked that a lot. It was good to see something different. Also, it was good to see Colby again. It made me want to go back and reread her entire collection. I was so worried this book would expire before I finished it - it was a bit long - but I made it. It had a great ending, and I can't wait for her next book!

I remember reading this, I think last year, and not liking it as much as some of Sarah Dessen's other novels, but it was still enjoyable.
