This is by far my favorite book in this series. I have been curious about Luke since the beginning of the series. I'm glad I read these books in order, even though they can each be read as a standalone. There is something about following the story of each character and then arriving here in this book where a lot happens with them. Some secondary characters get their storylines wrapped up nice and neat.

The plot of the story really appealed to me. I loved that the main characters are complete opposites, the story was far more interesting because of it. They somehow worked together from the very beginning of the book. Seeing their story unfold along with the scavenger hunt was adorable; I enjoyed every moment. There was a lot going on that is able to keep your attention.

The writing flowed so smoothly. It really is a joy to read. There was enough humor mixed in with more serious tones. The main characters had a lot they had to work through, but they came out so much stronger.

I don't quite know what else I can say about this book. I highly recommend it, and the rest of the series. I absolutely love these characters. This is one of the most enjoyable books I have read this year.

Turn to Me is the third and final installment of Becky Wade’s Misty River Romance series. Having devoured the other books in the series, I was looking forward to getting to know the elusive and reclusive member of the Miracle Five, Luke Dempsey. He’s a dark, broody man–one who harbors heaps of guilt and shame. And yet, he makes a perfect hero–handsome, loyal, and fiercely protective. His bad-boy persona is merely a cover for his soft heart.
In this opposites-attract story, Finley is the perfect person to get under Luke’s skin. Becky does a fabulous job (like usual) of having witty, meaningful, and genuine dialogue. I don’t know how many times I was asked to explain why I was giggling while looking at my phone. It wasn’t because of some cat video–it was the banter between Finley and Luke. I kept cheering on The Restoration of Luke so I could witness his dead-pan one-word responses to her flowery invitations of change.
I was so glad Turn to Me also gave Ben another chance at love. I love Ben (who doesn’t?), but I will confess that my excitement in reading more of his story meant more time with his mom Cece. She. Is. The. Best. Painfully honest and bold in her extension of love to others, especially those who need it most. I’d love to sit at her dining room table one day!
While the chemistry between Finley and Luke kept me smiling through most of the story, like most of Becky’s books, this story had some hard issues to work through. Guilt. Shame. Grief. Redemption. Goodness, the tears flowed as Luke fought hard against the truth. I hope we all have a Finley in our life who sees us the way our Creator does, loves us through the pain, and points us to the Truth. The inspirational arc of this book was so powerful and challenging, it made the story infinitely more meaningful outside its pages.
Overall, Turn to Me was a fabulous story. Contemporary romance fans, like those of Courtney Walsh, will enjoy this novel (and the entire series!) I highly recommend this book to any Christian fiction fan.

"The Misty River Romance series has been a pleasure to read. I love the characters of this little Georgia town, especially the Miracle Five...

Finley was such a fun, quirky character. While she typified a hippie in many ways, she was a devoted Christian and had a faith that was solid, despite grief and hardships she had endured. She had an intense need for rescuing and nurturing that led her to start the animal rescue center. I cracked up at the way she created a rehabilitation list - for Luke! Which closely resembled one she would have made for any of her rescues.

The guilt that consumed Luke's soul since the earthquake that took his brother's life - not his - had turned him away from God and into a destructive life. Now, the promise he made to Finley's dad had him postponing his post-prison plan and going to protect a woman he assumed to be a dowager in her 50s. His surprise to discover that the daughter of the 80-year-old prisoner was the beautiful thirty-year-old Finely was only natural.

I loved the situations that Finley put Luke into! Like fostering Agatha, the tiny puppy they had rescued. Let's just say that Luke wasn't exactly a ""dog person"". The way that Luke would talk to her in a sweet voice as he scolded her and told her how much he disliked her and hated her bad behavior made me laugh!

The adventure related to the treasure hunt and the ensuing (light) suspense was well written and added an element of danger I don't remember seeing in Becky Wade's books before. The events that occurred caused Luke to realize that despite his best efforts, he couldn't control his circumstances and protect those around him and had him calling out to God for rescue.

Readers who enjoy Christian romance will want to read this opposites-attract story. I'm now looking forward to reading Ben's story in the next book of the series.

Turn to Me by Becky Wade finishes the Misty River Romance series with a story that made me smile, cry, and pray. Wade’s smart, polished writing drew me into the characters’ lives immediately. Finley, especially, captured my admiration. She’s passionate and unafraid to speak truth. Initially, I cringed at her plan to rehabilitate Luke, but her heart for healing and restoration overcame my reluctance. Luke, the handsome, broken hero juxtaposes Finley’s character in several aspects, making the romantic chemistry between them delectable.

Being able to identify with Finley’s recent loss of her father and Luke’s deep sense of guilt made Turn to Me an especially powerful story to me. On page 204, Finley declared, “None of the love He [God] has for you is conditional. It doesn’t hinge on your actions or my actions. And thank God for that. You’re loved by Him. And you’re forgiven.” I needed that quote. Turn to Me possesses several good themes, but that one made me put down the book to sob and pray. A case of reading the right book at the right time.

Turn to Me by Becky Wade will likely land in my top ten reads of the year and stands as my favorite novel in this series. 5 Stars!

I loved Luke and Finley's story. I enjoyed the action and suspense of their treasure hunt and whoa it was crazy at the end. I also enjoyed reading the healing for the both of them. They both had "ghosts" in their past and they each helped eachother get through them.
It was also great that Ben's story was woven in this book more than the others. I'm so glad he had his happy ending as well.
A great end to the series. Thank you to the author and NetGalley for providing my review copy.

Turn to Me is the final book in Becky Wade’s Misty River Romance series.

This was a bittersweet read. I’ve enjoyed the series and knowing it was coming to an end made me want to savor it. That was easy to do because Luke and Finley were amazing characters. I could picture them perfectly and rooted for them across every page.

Because Luke is a tough character, an ex-con who walked away from God, the story has that gritty undertone. I loved that! It made the story real. And Finely is amazing with her optimism and flower child persona. With this blend, I can see how the story may not be for everyone, but I loved it for exactly those reasons. In fact, it might be one of my favorites of the series and I enjoyed all of them!

If you’re looking for a contemporary romance that goes beyond the usual themes to ones of redemption, forgiveness, and overcoming past mistakes, then definitely pick up a copy of Turn to Me. You don’t need to read the past books to appreciate this one, but the other characters do make cameo appearances. And, as an ending to the series, this book gives a wonderful wrap-up.

Becky Wade's contemporary romances have long been some of my favorites. In Turn to Me, I enjoyed Luke's unfiltered bluntness in his interior thoughts and Ben's mom Cece, who also does not beat around the bush.

The author's writing style - to me at least - seems to have changed in the last couple of books, and the amount of telling vs. showing and minor characters who, while amusing, read as caricatures, kept me from enjoying this book as much as many of her others.

Luke and Finley were a good example of the grumpy/sunshine trope, and their interactions were fun.

3.5 stars

“Without his permission, his brain had chosen her as its screensaver setting.”

Luke Dempsey … <blissful sigh> I’m still in “a trance of swooniness” over him, like Finley was, and I’m most assuredly still fanning over some of his scenes.

Luke has been more than a bit rough around the edges for several years, imprisoned by chains of guilt long before and long after his physical prison sentence. Becky Wade writes a rogue being chased by redemption so well, a ‘pirate prince’ whose – ahem – dogged grumpiness made me grin and whose besottedness with Finley made me swoon. For her part, Finley is adorable and I just wanted to sit in a room and (uncreepily) watch the two of them interact as they fight their growing feelings. And in a way, thanks to the magic of fiction I did 🙂

But oh goodness, y’all. This book is so delightful. In equal turns hilarious and tender, it is complete perfection. I laughed out loud repeatedly – from flirty banter to quirky characters to a witty bit of narrative, there are plenty of opportunities for giggles in Turn to Me. And the most hilarious of them all is Luke’s ongoing & begrudging relationship with Agatha, a rescue dog who falls in love with him just like the rest of us do. The feeling isn’t quite mutual on his part, or at least that’s what he claims – but we can all see she burrowed out a place in his heart too. Wade’s comedic timing is romcom gold, and little touches like the casual placement of animal descriptors (“three-month-old Maltese mix, licks air”) and subtly funny sentences (“Gratitude and pollen drifted down on her”) prove me right.

Along with the stick-your-head-in-a-freezer romance between Luke and Finley, we are also treated to a love story for Ben. Fans who’ve followed this series have had their hearts broken for Ben in the romance department and have been cheering for his happily-ever-after. This was icing on the cake to an already fantastic novel and gave us the closure we needed.

It’s not all hilarity and kisses though. There’s also an intriguing treasure hunt subplot with a bit of suspense thrown in, and even more importantly there’s a sweet spiritual thread that brings the ‘Miracle Five’ (friendship goals!) and Luke’s bondage to guilt (including his relationships with his family) full circle. This part of the story is beautifully written and had me wiping away more than a few tears.

Bottom Line: Turn to Me is perfection. Heartwarming, hilarious, swoonilicious perfection. I don’t have enough stars to give it to properly express how much I love it. This is a story that, as soon as I turned the last page, I wanted to hug it and then go back and read it all over again. You don’t absolutely have to have read the first two books in this series, but I highly recommend it because you’ll love Luke’s story even more after you do. A must-read for contemporary romance fans!

Turn to Me by Becky Wade is a fantastic Contemporary Romance. In fact, in my humble opinion, it is the perfect read! I LOVED every minute of this story and am so sad my time with these characters is over. I have read all of the Misty River Romance novels and this final installment is my favorite. The pacing of this book is excellent. I could not put this book down and the pages flew by. I was so engaged with Finley’s and Luke’s stories. They are awesome characters. I love Finley’s genuineness. What you see with Finley is what you get. It’s so refreshing to read a character who is so authentically good and gracious and fun and quirky. And Luke … hold on while I fan my face for a minute. OH! MY! WORD! Luke is one of the sexiest, manliest reformed rakes I have ever read, and I adore his character. He is honest about who he is and how he feels. His need to protect Finley is swoon-worthy. And his kisses are utter perfection. This story brings the chemistry and then some! I love how Finley and Luke begrudgingly form a deep, real friendship, which grows into a very realistic, very intense romance. They are, for sure, my favorite fictional couple, and it was so much fun watching them on their journey to love.

One dominant topic of discussion in this novel is rehabilitation. Rehabilitation is the “act of restoring someone to health or normal life (through training and therapy) after imprisonment, addiction, or illness” (Oxford Dictionary). Finley is 100% all about rehabilitation. Her love language is showing kindness, grace, and love to others through rehabilitating them. Typically, she focuses her energies on animals who have been hurt or abandoned, but she does not limit her skills to just cuddly creatures in need of a forever home. When she meets Luke, Finley places him on a rehabilitation plan of her own making. She doesn’t tell him that she is rehabilitating him, instead, she makes a plan and acts on it daily with Luke none the wiser. What I loved so much about Finley is that she is capable of great personal awareness. Finley lost someone beloved when she was a younger adult. In order to protect herself, Finley prays to God and comes to realize that she is meant to be single. She believes for forever, but God has other plans. As Finley is busy rehabbing Luke, she realizes that what she was really doing was rehabbing herself and her traumatized heart. What I love is that Finley realizes that, yes, God did mean for her to be single. That was an actual plan for her for a time, but it wasn’t His plan for her for a lifetime. It was simply meant to be a period of time for her to heal and grow in her faith. I love this notion so much. We humans are funny. We make plans and goals, and we seem to make them finitely. We become so rigid in the goals and plans we set for ourselves convinced that these things are 100% exactly what God has in store for us. But, as Finley comes to realize, we may make plans for our lives, but God establishes our steps (Proverbs 16:9). What very well may be a plan God has for us for a time may just be that — a plan for a time. It is our job to be still and let God lead. I really loved this timely and thoughtful discussion point that Wade weaves throughout the narrative.

Turn to Me is a seriously amazing read. I love, love, love this book, and cannot recommend this story enough. I really am going to miss my time in Misty River, but I look forward to whatever Becky Wade has in store for us readers next.

I will always recommend Becky Wade to anyone looking for contemporary fiction recommendations. All of her books have a little something for everyone in them - conflict, romance, faith, growth. She shares the Gospel in creating entertaining and engaging stories with flawed and imperfect characters who are transformed by God.

This book was no different from previous books that I have read by Becky Wade. Overall, it was a fun read and I really loved the grumpy x sunshine trope between Luke and Finley. If you really like that trope, I’d recommend to try this book for sure.

The one thing that I thought took away from this book was the multiple POVs throughout the book and how the subplot with Ben’s romance was added. To myself as a reader it was distracting and nearly felt like an afterthought. Since Ben is such an important character in the series, I felt he deserved a novel/novella of his own.

Overall, super cute and fun read!

Turn to Me, by Becky Wade, the third book in A Misty River Romance series, is a beautiful end to a wonderful trilogy. Like the other books in this series, this novel features a story that is heartfelt and meaningful. It is also thoughtful, clever, and redemptive. With unforgettable characters, an intriguing mystery, moments of sweet romance, and a small town setting, this book is truly compelling and a genuine pleasure to read.

Ms. Wade’s writing talent always seems utterly effortless. In Turn to Me, she has crafted a novel that is both touching and engaging. With sensitivity and skill, this book explores important themes such as guilt, loss, fear, and redemption. As the characters honor their promises and open their hearts to new relationships, they gradually find hope and healing are now within their reach. The story becomes especially powerful when the characters gain strength from one another and recognize the value of honesty, trust, vulnerability, and forgiveness. Faith is strengthened and hope blooms as damaged hearts become less fragile when nurtured by love and grace.

Becky Wade’s novels are consistently well-written and entertaining. Turn to Me is another worthy book that is thought-provoking and emotionally-stirring. Page after page, it offers a captivating plot, endearing characters, and relevant themes. I recommend this novel wholeheartedly.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the especially intriguing adventure that Luke and Finley discovered. I have read the other books in Ms. Wade's series and had not truly paid attention to Luke's character prior to this book. I was impressed by how Ms. Wade brought a fresh perspective to Luke's character and relationships with the other of the "Miracle Five" throughout this book. I enjoyed the mystery and adventure of the treasure hunt as well as the struggles of the main characters to move on from their past hurts and heartbreaks. I appreciate how down-to-earth Ms. Wade's characters are as well as how clearly she presents each character's flaws, strengths, and struggles. I definitely enjoyed this book and give it a high recommendation. I hope you have the opportunity to read Turn to Me and enjoy it as much as I have. Happy readings!

This is book three in the Misty River series. It is a romance novel (plus bonus romance) with fun, quirky but genuine characters who have believable problems. I loved getting to know them and like the humor, which the author dispenses in spades. All of this with a dose of mysterious happenings makes this an enjoyable read. This book is definitely a cut above the regular Christian romance novel because of the length and depth of the book, the well-developed characters, the intricate search and the considerable amount of Biblical wisdom the author dispenses, without sounding preachy. This is the last book in a trilogy. I stumbled upon the first one, quickly bought the second one and was thrilled when I found the third one. I’d advise reading the entire series in order because the same characters make appearances in the different books. It’s nice having the backstory and satisfying finding out what they’re up to now. I’m very sad to have to say good-bye to these characters. I’d highly recommend buying all three books and (drumroll) there are two novellas in this series, for those of us who would like just a bit more of Misty Riverness.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bethany House Publishers for making an ARC available to me. All opinions expressed are my own.

Just like the others in the series, I really enjoyed this book. It had a good bit of mystery mingled in with the romance. I love that this author writes Christian romance novels that have plenty of swoon, attraction, and interaction. These books aren’t cheesy at all. They are real and honest and I appreciate her writing. The character development was great and I loved where the story went and how it ended.

Thank you Bethany House for you copy.

When I received my copy of Turn to Me, I devoured it! Turn to Me is the final book in the Misty River Romance series by Becky Wade. I’m sad the series is now over! One thing I loved about this whole series is the setting, the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Of this novel in particular, I enjoyed Luke’s character growth; his is a story of redemption and second chances, in more ways than one. His personal challenges seemed authentic to his situation. I love how Finley slowly worked her way into his heart and broke down his barriers. I also enjoyed Finley’s own struggle and growth in this story, they also seemed realistic, including her relationship with God. I wasn’t quite expecting this struggle from her character; it worked perfectly paired with Luke’s struggles. I also enjoyed the mystery aspect, which was a treasure hunt left for Finley by her dad in his will. I love how there’s some sort of mystery in almost all of Becky’s novels. That and the romance make intriguing, hard-to-put-down stories! Turn to Me is a novel of second chances and found family, mystery and romance, and it is not to be missed! I am a little sad now that this is the end of the Misty River Romance Trilogy. It’s definitely one of my top favorite Christian, contemporary romance series! That being said, you won’t be confused if you read these out of order. This is a book (and series) you don’t want to miss!

Luke Dempsey one of Misty River’s Miracle Five is trying to acclimate to life as a free man, only he doesn’t feel like a free man. Still battling the guilt and bondage of losing his brother, Ethan, in an earthquake all those years ago Luke embarks on the journey to keep his promise to Ed. Enter Finley the subject of said promise. From the beginning these two are complete and total opposites. Finley grieving the loss of her dad, hires Luke to help build website for her non profit. Through this they embark on a treasure hunt and the healing they both need is found along the way. We see others from the previous books and get to catch up with them. Becky did an outstanding job. This can be read as a stand alone, however, I enjoyed it so much more as a part of the series.

Apart from this being one of my favorite covers for a Becky Wade book, it is also now one of my favorite books of hers! This story includes amazing chemistry between the two main characters, a tragic backstory for the brooding hero, a spunky and upbeat heroine, witty banter, and even a hint of danger. I truly enjoyed every bit of this story and savored it from start to finish.

I liked that Luke and Finley were opposites in many ways. Luke’s guilt that he carried for years pushed him to make decisions that ended with him serving time in jail. His rough lifestyle and life choices were a very tough shell that Finley worked to crack through. And she did! I loved the way these two connected and they way Luke fell for her. And I just adored Luke! He was actually a person who felt things very deeply and was intensely devoted to those he cared for. It made for a wonderful connection between these two.

The banter between Luke and Finley was fun and illustrated the way they were connecting with each other. Another enjoyable side story, with lots of funny quips, was the friendship and “not romance” blooming between Akira and Ben. It was fun to see Ben find someone after his heartbreak from book two.

I highly recommend Turn to Me and personally know that this will be a book that I read more than once. I believe that readers could pick up this book and enjoy the story, even if they haven’t read the earlier books, however, I highly recommend all the books in this series as they create the full picture of everything that has happened to the members of the Miracle Five group.

Turn to Me is the final book in Wade's Misty River Romance series and a long-awaited story for me. :) I was eager to read Luke's story and it was amazing!

I loved how Turn to Me was not just your average romance novel; Luke and Finley embarked on a fun (and sometimes dangerous) treasure hunt that made me eager to keep reading to see how that would turn out. It didn't go completely how I expected and I loved that.

The romance was good and I liked how the characters grew in the story. I also really enjoyed the secondary romance story (Ben's).

All in all, Turn to Me was a great read and I can't wait to see what Becky Wade writes next.

Turn to Me by Becky Wade was the perfect conclusion to this series. What a wonderful redemption story for Luke and Ben finally gets his happy ending.

If you have been following the series, Luke is one of the Miracle Five. But he doesn’t feel like a miracle. He lost his brother in the earthquake and has always felt responsible. Which led him to a life of turning from God and make a series of bad decisions. One of those decisions landed him in jail where he met Finley’s dad.

Finleys dad made him promise to help her with something. The treasure hunt was totally not what I expected.

Finley was such a fun character from her attire to her plan to rehabilitate Luke. Their banter would crack me up. It was hilarious when she made him take care of the kitten.

Ben also get his happy ending in this book.
