Another brilliant instalment in this well established series with the return of several characters, a complex fast paced storyline a too many potential suspects.
I do feel that what happened to Omar was unnecessarily cruel but overall a really good read.
The case of a missing woman is more than enough to keep Detective Gina Harte and her team busy, but this latest case has left one of their own fighting for her life in the hospital. Gina swears to get justice for both the missing woman and her colleague. The story is told with a variety of voices that only add to the suspense of who has kidnapped the mother who teaches high school math. Is it her cheating husband, the creepy teacher, the mistress, the schoolboy crush, etc.? As some of the suspects end up dead or missing, Gina must think outside of the box to find their kidnapper and killer. Will she figure it out before more lives are lost? It's a wonderfully suspenseful book!
Wow! Carla Kovach hits it totally out of the park! This is probably my favorite book of Gina Harte. Lots of suspense and surprises. Great tension and even better reveals. This one grabbed me from the start and didn’t let go until the final paragraph.
Highly recommend
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book
Another fast paced and twisty story from Carla Kovach that has its usual lot of suspects and all through the book,, I was convinced it was one character that appeared briefly but was mentioned a lot I was a million miles away from the eventual culprit. Anyone who knows me knows how much I dislike the story being sidetracked by a romantic back story and without giving too much away, I was gutted at the end. Definitely like the other books, this is a five star plus read.
I was drawn right into the story the eleventh in this excellent series.Thereare so many twists and turns characters that kept me guessing.A book that kept me reading well past my bedtime.Wil be recommending this and all books in the series.#netgalley #bookouture.
From the first page to the last, One Girl Missing kept me reading well after bedtime. This was a good book and a good read. The book is about obsession and is plausible. One Girl Missing had good twits and was not wrapped up in a neat bow, which I feel makes for a good story.
I will definitely read more of this series and this author. I would recommend this book and this series.

I'm a big fan of this series and dare I say I think this was the best instalment yet?! I think the series has really found its groove and the balance between the mystery and the private lives of the detectives has been struck just right.
I really enjoyed following the investigation. It was clear that most characters were hiding something and it was fun discovering what all those things were. I would have preferred a happier ending for one of the characters but it's a testament to how good the writing is that I felt as sad as I did at the end.
Special mention to my favourite character, Thumper!
So, my reviews for these books are probably getting predictable and repetitive now. I've read every single one as soon as its available to me. And I just love every single one. So it will get the usual undeniable 5 stars, undeniable praise and undeniable excitement and apprehension for the next one. So without further ado here is my repetitive review....
DI Gina Harte is one of my all time favourite characters from books that I read. She is tough, but throughout the books we have seen her soften slightly especially towards the members of her team.
When one of their own is hurt and her friend is missing the team rush to find who caused this amount of distress and pain. But as they start getting stuck in they find out it isn't just a simple case of who dunnit!
Watching the branches of this massive tree unwind into an absolutely blowout ending was thrilling and edge of your seat. Your stuck somewhere in the middle, trying to figure out the way to safety but without a clue on where to step next.
I just love love love this series and will continue to follow it. I just hope that we never ever lose Gina, she never takes retirement and my god if she died I think I would cause a protest. I will look forward to dropping EVERYTHING all over again for the next installment.
So many twists and turns. So many suspects, too. This book was fast-paced and kept me turning the virtual pages.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
