I'm sorry I was not able to read and review this book before it was archived due to serious health issues.

Geared towards a younger audience, the book is a charming one with colourful characters and delightfully detailed backgrounds.

I received a free copy from NetGalley. I'm glad to see there are now more, as this very much read as the first in a series. Some decent messages about choices. The magic isn't too crazy or unbelievable and it strangely fit in very well with people seeing/not seeing truth/fiction with the current political climate.

Features an epic voyage and fantastic beasts. I especially like the imagery and metaphors.
