This was a bit repetitive for me, which was a but disappointing as I was incredibly excited about another Julia Samuel book
I received this book after previously reviewing another psychology book.
This book is extremely insightful in family trauma I cried a few times with the family history and helping each family realise their issues and help take steps to heal wounds.
Families have a myriad of history and love that helps them to work through their issues. Each case study shows a different family issue and her helps in finding paths to reconciliation. Thank you for the chance to read this it felt hard at the start but once the case studies kicked in I understood.
This book has been like therapy to me! I haven't had an easy life and I went through therapy already for grief and loss... But there were things related to my fanily that were unsaid and unknown and this book has help me to heal quite a bit! Thanks so much.
An absolutely fascinating book, which made me wish that Julia Samuel had been available to advise my family when I was younger! Well-written and difficult to put down, I could easily have read a book twice the length. But it isn't just interesting and entertaining, there are very real takeaways from this book, which we can all (at least try to) incorporate in our own lives. I would thoroughly recommend this book.
