This was a fun behind the scenes look at Bear Grylls life and television persona. I have to admit that I went into this never having watched any of his shows! Despite their popularity I had just never seen any. Halfway through reading I watched a few episodes of running wild, which I really enjoyed. It was fun to watch and then hear some behind the scenes information about those episodes. I also want to check out some of his other shows. For fans of Bear Grylls or any of his shows they will enjoy this book a ton! Thanks to NetGalley and Disney Audiobooks for providing me with copy of this audiobook!

I have seen some of the shows starring Bear Grylls but had never read a book written by him until now. He's actually a well spoken author. The book was just the right amount of tales of his adventures mixed with some of his trials. It was engaging and uplifting and left me wanting to learn more about Bear.

The audiobook was enjoyable. The narrator did a fantastic job of telling the story. The only drawback I found was the timing between chapters was a bit long and several times I checked to see if my phone had stopped but it hadn't.

I was not a big Bear Grylls fan... until now. Of course he does a great job of reading his own story and I always love hearing people's stories in their own voice.

He brings lots of gross stories (of course) but also some beautiful stories of people overcoming their fears and persevering through some pretty crazy stuff. He really brings himself up from being that guys that drinks his own pee to someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and loves what he does.
