I loved that this book had such a well throughout female lead. We get to see her relationships with family, friends, dad, job, and even a love interest. London is a surgeon, and Rochon really does an amazing job of creating a very accurate representation of what her daily life would be like. This book did feel a little bit long, but the love story was just so cute that I kept going! Definitely recommend for anyone who loves a quality romance with not a ton of spice.

3.5 stars, rounded up.

This book is my 2nd fave in the series. The Boyfriend Project stays at #1 for me!
That being said, I do like London. Her intelligence, her snark, the fact that she settled on crochet for a hobby- love it. However, I did not understand her holding onto grudges from high school, given her success in life. It didn't really seem on-brand for her.
Drew seems fine, but I still do not understand what a hedge fund manager is or how that relates to him auditing the hospital London works for. But he seemed really sweet and clearly wanted to treat London and his family very well.
I was annoyed that the MCs make a pact to be FWBs while in the same town, but then the actual sex scenes were fade to black/ lackluster. I expected more, given the premise there.
I also just felt left with a lot of questions. Does Drew's mom's house get sorted out and donated? Does London continue to bond with her siblings? What happens with her hypertension? Does her dad ever realize that he's the absolute worst? What happened with the hospital and the lawsuit?
I felt like the author brought up all of these subplots throughout the book and then just left them dangling.
Overall, I enjoyed the relationship building in the book, but the story overall was not my favorite.

This book was so cute! I loved the hospital setting (I’m a big Grey’s Anatomy fan, so that made it fun), and I really enjoyed both London and Drew. One of my favorite tropes is when the guy falls first, so the fact that Drew has been pining over London since high school was just perfect! I wish there was a little more of her friendship with the girls in this book, but it didn’t bother me. This book is great if you enjoy strong female leads.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC!

I have been highly anticipating the last book in this series and I was not let down. I loved getting to know London more along with her swoon-worthy friend Drew.

What I loved:

1. This book goes into how there are problems in the medical field and how letting them go can negatively impact those in the surrounding communities.

2. I loved checking in with Samiah and Taylor. While I was hoping a bit more from the epilogue, it was nice to see how their relationships were progressing.

3. While I think this was one the steamiest of the three, this one definitely had a good build up between London and Drew. Their chemistry was there from the beginning and I loved their banter.

4. I also liked how this one touched on the topic of grief and how everyone processes it differently. It was a small bit of this story, but I felt it was well done.

While I'm sad to see this series end, I'm glad I had the chance to read it. It was an absolute joy to read these three lovely heroines get their happily ever afters.

I've loved this series and definitely want to look more into the author's backlist and any future books because of it. Each book has been able to be read as a stand-alone and this book focuses on London. London is a very successful pediatric surgeon, who is definitely a bit of a workaholic. She doesn't have time for dating, but a girl's got needs so she agrees to a "hook up only" situation with an old classmate. She's always hated him, so there's no chance she could fall for him...right?

I loved that this book still gives us glimpses into Samiah and Taylor after they find love in the earlier books. As with the other books, this is definitely a romance, but the characters also still have their own backstory that is still a quite large part of the plot. I would definitely recommend!

Farrah Rochon did not disappoint with the final book in this trilogy. A perfect ending for a trilogy that highlights how women juggle careers and relationships in an ever changing world. I loved London and Drew’s story. London’s relationship, or lack of relationship, with her father and wanting to please a parent is a universal theme and well written. Although her reasons for hating Drew were unfair, I understood London's motivations. I love the chemistry between London and Drew along with their banter. They're both witty, sexy and fun. They're definitely one of my favorite literary couples. And the ending...chef's kiss. READ THIS BOOK!!!

I'm extremely sad to see the end of this series arrive. I loved these women... However, I was excited to read London's story as I'm a nurse and she's a surgeon! Farrah never disappoints and within sentences, I was sucked into her world and before long, hours have passed and the book was done.

I absolutely loved The Dating Playbook and was so excited to get an ARC for this one featuring London. Unfortunately it just got very monotonous for me. It got old seeing London hate Drew one minute and want to sleep with him the next. Being a nurse I was looking forward to a romance that was partially set in a hospital but many of things involving staff just didn’t feel realistic to me. I loved Drew’s character and feel like that’s what kept pushing me forward in this book.

Thanks to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an digital advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was my first Rochon book, and though it is the last in The Boyfriend Project series, it can be read as a stand-alone. I enjoyed this academic rivals to lovers book. It didn’t wow me, but the characters were likable and the situations believable. I was rooting for London and Drew to work out their differences.

I loved that it was more than just a romance as well. It was about family relationships and a stark look at the American healthcare system and the inequality of care within it.

Thank you to NetGalley, Forever (Grand Central Publishing)/Forever, and Farrah Rochon for the e-arc of The Hookup Plan in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third book in the Boyfriend Project series. I liked the other two books and I remembered that the first was good on audio, so I decided to listen to this one as well. The book is about London, who reconnects with her high school nemesis, Drew, at their high school reunion. She is a pediatric surgeon and it turns out that Drew is in a position to hurt or help her job. I can't say that this was my favorite of the series - that probably goes to the first book - and London annoyed me a bit. I would probably read more from this author in the future anyway though!

I freakin loved this book! Farrah is a new to me author and now I’m wondering why I haven’t read any of her books sooner! This book gives us childhood rivals to lovers, which is a trope I don’t come across often. I also love a book where the guy falls first. What was supposed to be a stress relieving one night stand for London quickly turns into so much more.

London is such a strong female lead. She is driven, smart, confident and overall such a great role model! Drew…this freakin sweetheart. He is so precious and supportive and really knows what he wants, which is London. Basically he was perfection and I need to find myself a boyfriend like him ASAP. Their chemistry is off the charts, their banter was amazing, and they were just perfect for each other! This book was fairly light on the angst, which I so so needed! I’ve been reading a lot of mafia romance lately so this was a great switch up.

Read this if you:
•enjoy enemies to lovers
•love a supportive friend group
•appreciate a strong female lead

This book started off as a fun enemies to lovers read for me and I really enjoyed the first third of it. However, after that I began to feel like it became very repetitive. It felt like we read about something happening, but then had to read about the FMC then retelling what happened multiple times. This lead me to skim through sections and feel less invested in the story. I feel like if it was shorter and some of the repetitiveness was removed I would have enjoyed it a lot more. Another piece that was hard for me was that I felt like some of the conflict felt a little immature. These characters are described as professional, accomplished, mature, 30 somethings, but then they were arguing or talking in a way that did not match that for me. These could just be a me thing, but I felt it worth noting.

I did really enjoy the way London and her friends were so supportive and loving to each other! They were a great example of women supporting women and being there for your friends. Drew was a sweet MMC and he definitely had some swoon worthy moments. I like how he fell first and was willing to be so vulnerable with his feelings. The banter between him and London was fun and they definitely had chemistry! This one is full of steam which was a nice addition!

Lastly, I appreciated how the author touched on some tougher real life topics. Those heavy themes were dealt with well and felt authentic to me.

This one didn't quite live up to my expectations, but I do look forward to seeing what Rochon writes next.

Thank you NetGalley and Forever Grand Central Publishing for this eARC in exchange for an honest review!

I adored this book. My absolute favorite of the series. I love how the main characters communicated and it was just so much fun! I’m so sad the series is over but can’t wait to see what comes next.

We chose this as our August club read for ThreeFriendsBookClub. This is the third book in The Boyfriend Project series, and while I think you could easily pick up any of them as a stand-alone you'll have more of the other characters' back stories if you start at the beginning. Plus the whole series is really fun, so why wouldn't you want to read them all.

Oooh I love me some enemies-to-lovers! London and Drew were enemies through high school and ended up competing so much that they were co-valedictorians. They end up running into each other at their school reunion and hooking up. Even though London still claims to loathe him, it turns into a pretty regular thing. She's definitely not going to catch feelings though...for Drew...no way. Right?

I loved both London and Drew. In particular, Drew was a sweet, suave, smart, hunk of a man and London was sassy, smart, and super driven.

I did have two complaints though...it felt a little excessive that London was taking SUCH poor care of herself, especially once she'd been diagnosed with hypertension and other things exacerbated by stress and a lack of sleep/eating right/exercise. I just wanted to give her a good shake and tell her to slow it down and look after herself. Secondly, I missed the female friendship angle that was so strong in the other books. This one had a bigger focus on the romance (which I enjoyed) but I missed the other ladies, because they didn't make as big an appearance in this book.

This book had funnier moments but it also pulled at the heartstrings. London has a complex and toxic relationship with her father that she's trying to work through. Drew lost his mom to cancer and has been putting off dealing with his own feelings there. Plus, London is trying to be a better sister to her half-sisters and brother, while also trying to do what is best for her career and save the hospital she works for!

I'm so sad to see this series end as I loved reading about these characters and how they found their love matches. London and Drew's story takes on misogyny in the workplace and at home, but also brings humor and strength. The chemistry between them is hot from the beginning and enjoyed their story. Marissa Hampton is great as the narrator and I loved the audiobook.

This book was so good! I read it in one sitting.

It starts off strong. Right away we get to see their dynamic and that is one of my favourite things. Essentially it's like we work backwards in the relationship instead of working up to the relationship. They hookup and then sort of have to backtrack with getting to know each other and going on dates, etc.

There is no miscommunication or rushed ending! It is just perfect. The banter was phenomenal and I am just totally obsessed with these characters.

I’m stuck in a cycle of enemies to lovers! This was a nice book just not unique enough for a 5 star review. The witty banter was great! And I love to see POCs as main characters! But in the end it was just okay.

Enemies with a sexual attraction and lots of chemistry. The feelings were there! Great beach read.
Many thanks to Forever and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

This series was like a roller coaster ride for me. I DNFed the first book. Loved the second book. Didn't like the third book.

I appreciate that THE HOOKUP PLAN passed the Bechdel Test with flying colors....but that was a large part of the problem.

THE HOOKUP PLAN talk every single scene to death. The reader has to read about every single thing that happens to the female lead character, London, THREE TIMES. Once when it happens to her once when she tells her best friends about it and a third time when she mentions it to her hookup buddy/love interest Drew. This makes the entire story incredibly slow and also incredibly frustrating to read.

London almost faints at work. Pages dedicated to telling her friends. Pages dedicated to telling Drew.

London's little sister takes nudes. Pages dedicated to telling her friends. Pages dedicated to telling Drew.

Repeat. Over and over and over again.

London and Drew have great enemies-to-lovers chemistry. London has wonderful female friendships. She is a ballsy, smart, hard working, amazing heroine. Drew is swoony and sweet and hot.

But these great elements can't fix the dragging pace and repetitive storytelling in THE HOOKUP PLAN.

Overall I really liked this story. London's job was fascinating to me and I loved seeing how she made a name for herself at a smaller hospital and wanted to be there. Not only that she was amazing at it, and truly did care for the people at the hospital. Add in the fact that she knew the hospital was in trouble and even though she didn't like Drew that much at first she knew he was good at his job and trusted him. The banter between London and Drew was great and I liked seeing their relationship evolve into more over time and how they were able to become a team. Not only did they support each other's careers but they were also there for each other through family drama and just being somebody for the other one to listen to when they needed to vent.
I also liked London's friendships and how supportive they were to each other and were all about that girl power!

Personally, I do prefer closed doors when it comes to intimate private time, so that is the only reason this wasn't a five-star read for me.
