I loved London!! While I really enjoyed this entire series, The Hookup Plan was my favorite by far, and such a fantastic way to end the saga of three women brought together by one awful man! The chemistry between Drew and London felt genuine and I love a good enemies to lovers book. I did feel some loose ends weren't tied up in this book, but overall a very cute and enjoyable read!

Thank you too the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC! I've loved spending time with all the characters from this series, seeing their unique personalities and histories. The romances are fun but the friendships between the women and seeing them work towards their goals really make these books enjoyable.

Once again Farrah Rochon knocked it out of the park!! I loved the first two books in this series and this book didn't disappoint. I thought the characters were so well done and their chemistry was so apparent from the start. I can't wait to see what she writes next.

A perfect ending to a perfect series. I am sad this is wrapped up though. I LOVED the female friendship! The romantic tension was perfection here. I loved every page. I live for a **well done** rivals to lovers and this book delivered.

๐—ช๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ˆ ๐ž๐ง๐ฃ๐จ๐ฒ๐ž๐: Iโ€™ve loved London throughout this series, so I was excited to finally read her story. The places where she shined in this book were definitely professionally and in her family relationships. I loved her no-nonsense attitude, and her clear ability to establish and enforce boundaries. Her advocacy on behalf of her patients, and her views about our healthcare system were a really great tribute to healthcare heroes.

One of the things Iโ€™ve enjoyed most about this series is that each book focuses on a social issue. In this book, Rochon addresses our healthcare system and the inequity of its availability in underserved regions. Highlighting parents who have to compound their worry for their sick child with their ability to afford the hospital bills was something I really appreciated.

Though I didnโ€™t always feel this one from the romance perspective, I loved Drew as a love interest. His attentiveness Londonโ€™s and trying to change her opinion of him was so sweet. I also appreciate that their conflicts didnโ€™t rely on miscommunication, and that they actually communicated with one another.

I missed that aspect in this one. Samiah and Taylor were written in, but they didnโ€™t feel as present in the series finale and I found myself wishing for more of them.

Enemies-to-lovers also isnโ€™t my personal favorite trope, so the unnecessary grudge from high school + London constantly disregarding the relationship with Drew in the first half grated on me a bitโ€”though it did turn around in the back half to become more banter-y, which I enjoyed.

Former high school rivals London and Drew reignite their ๐˜‰๐˜“๐˜ˆ๐˜ก๐˜๐˜•๐˜Ž competitive fire when their lives become interestingly intertwined in this romcom masterpiece.

The third instalment in Farrah Rochonโ€™s โ€œThe Boyfriend Projectโ€ series features an unlikely ๐˜ถ๐˜ฏ๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ between these archenemies on the evening of their high school reunion. Consequently, the chaos that romcom dreams are made of ensues.

London, an ambitious, adept and ardent paediatric surgeon, stole my heart as the woman embodiment of the ๐˜›๐˜บ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ˆ personality whose career and life are overly organized but whose heart is always in the right place and energy is tirelessly dedicated to ensuring the well being of everyone around her.

Enter Londonโ€™s adolescent adversary: the devout, determined and discreetly-pinning Drew, a self-made millionaire and the only man who has ever been able to ruffle her feathers.

The two go head to head but end up heart to heart as they transition from enemies โ€” to friends with benefits โ€” to lovers. Farrah writes a sexy and sweet romcom that is so much more than a love story. The novel is propelled by fierce professional ambition, delicate love and a courageous commitment to family. It delicately handles and thoughtfully explores heartbreaking family loss and heart wrenching, complicated family dynamics.

Whenever I find myself in need of a pick me up, I know I will always find it in a romance novel, even if it doesn't quite check all the boxes.

This is the third book in Rochon's The Boyfriend Project series. I haven't read the first two, but this stood on its own fabulously. Will I read the first two? Probably! Anyway, this was a fun romance featuring London and Drew. London is a rock-star pediatric surgeon at a hospital this close to being sold to a private company, and Drew owns the company brought in to audit the hospital's finances and make recommendations on what to do. So what's the problem? Well, London and Drew have history going back to high school where they were academic rivals. At their class reunion, the pair of them hook-up at London's insistence, not knowing that her no strings attached fling was about to get super complicated.

I enjoyed this quite a bit! The beginning hooked me right away, and I loved the banter between London and Drew. Had me smiling like a fool. Even after fifteen years apart, you could tell they still knew each other well enough to needle exactly where it "hurts." The story did start to lose me towards the end, and I'll explain why in a second.

I really liked London. She has a lot on her mind, including which hospital to pick for her fellowship while trying to save her current one, her daddy issues and how they're affecting her half-siblings, and some unfortunate health problems, just to name a few. There was a lot for her to go through and for us to get a great picture of who she is. Drew was an absolute sweetheart who was impossible to dislike, but he was a little more on the unknown side, and I don't think I liked that. It stands as evidence for myself on why I prefer single POV for romances because I don't think we quite got to properly dig into the individual conflicts. It was mostly London's drama, which is how it should be, but there wasn't room to do more than surface level with Drew's stuff. It didn't feel necessary.

I do think the way the romance is laid out did this book and its characters a great disservice though. London and Drew obviously hook up early on and get together a lot after that throughout the entire book. What didn't work for me is that the first few times, those scenes are closed door. Then, as the story progresses, they get a little bit more open and in depth. And while that parallel is quite clever, in this case I think we lost a great many opportunities to really get to know these characters. Having sex for the first time is kind of a big deal for any two characters, especially when they have the animosity and history that these two do. By keeping that fade to black in the beginning without even showing a single kiss, the rest of their relationship felt like something fundamental was missing from it. The open-door scenes seemed gratuitous and didn't show the changes they had overcome.

This is what made me start to lose interest at the 80% mark. We had gone as far as we could with them as a couple without any real growth aside from them catching feelings for each other, and it didn't feel like something I needed to be present for to root for. I also don't think the ending really resolved much. I'm still not entirely sure what happened to the hospital or the people who constantly belittled London. Nor do I know if Drew got the closure he needed about his Mom, and it felt a little incomplete.

This was still a good read, and I'm rating it 3.5, rounding up to four!

This was such a fun rom-com, and absolutely perfect summer reading. The women in the story are strong, and have great friendships. The โ€œenemyโ€/lover is super hunky and not so bad once you get to know him. This had so many funny parts as well as spice, and will keep you engaged the whole time!

Thank you to Farrah Rochon, the publisher, and to Netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest review!

DNF: I enjoyed The Dating Playbook, so I decided to take a chance on the sequel, even though friends with benefits storylines are not a favorite of mine, and I already knew that this heroine might be too intense for me. Unfortunately, both of those things were this book's downfall - for me, personally. There's a lot of good stuff going on in the story, and I know that enemies with benefits storylines are more popular than ever. So I definitely think there's an audience for this, and it's another solid installment to the series. I'm looking forward to more from Rochon in the future, this just wasn't a good fit for me.

I am sad that we have gotten to the end of The Boyfriend Project series. Book one will forever be my favorite of the series. I didn't love London's story as much as Samiah's but her story was still great. In my opinion, Drew Sullivan was THE STAR of this book. Sure London was an amazing pediatric surgical resident but I didn't connect with her at all. She really got on my nerves with how she initially treated Drew. I get why she had her walls up where he was concerned but a lesser man would have definitely told her to kick rocks!

Farrah Rochon knows how to create a quality non-toxic self assured black men. Keep these men coming. I appreciated how we got multi-layered characters and the way she handled issues such as the loss of a parent, parents who alienated their children and the importance of sisterhood was masterful. I will read anything she writes. Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.

Thank you so much @readforever and @hatchetteaudio for the advnce reading and listening copies of The Hookup Plan so I could read and review the final book in the Boyfriend Project Series. The Hookup Plan, y Farrah Rochon came out on August 2, 2022 - available now!

If you've read this series, you'll know that this is London's book. London is a brilliant surgon who reconnects with her highschool rivel when he comes in to help develop a financial plan to keep the hospital working.

This book fits in perfectly with the rest of the series, I love seeing not only the specific relationship but also the friendship between London, Taylor and Samiya continue to stregthen as tiem goes on.

I highly recommend picking this series up, and reading them all in order. Though they would make sense on their own or out of order, the relationship between the three women is my favourite part.

I ended up going with the audiobook of this one, and the narration by Marissa Hampton really brings the story to life. Farrah Rochon's writing flows so nicely throughout all three books, I'm looking forward to her future books and will definately be keeping my eye out for her backlist titles.

The Hookup Plan is an incredible conclusion to The Boyfriend Project series from the talented Farrah Rochon. A must-read for all rom-com fans!

Tropes: Enemies-to-Lovers, Frenemies-with-Benefits, Workplace, Millionaire Hero, Secret Crush/Pining

Plot at a glance: Rockstar pediatric surgeon London Kelley is less than thrilled to run into her high school archnemesis Drew Sullivan at their 15-year reunion until she remembers her best friends' advice to de-stress with a no-strings-attached hookup. Drew makes the perfect target for her hookup plan since she knows and trusts him but won't have to see him again... until she goes into work Monday morning. London is shocked to discover the man behind her mind-blowing orgasms this weekend now holds the fate of her hospital in his hands. She's determined to stay away from him, but Drew has other plans. He's had a crush on her since high school, and now that he's had a taste of how good being with London really is, he's not ready to let her go without a fight.

Review: I didn't want The Hookup Plan to end! I adored London and Drew and was happily rooting for them from their first banter-filled encounter at the high school reunion.

I appreciated how Farrah Rochon expertly balanced London's and Drew's personal, professional and familial journeys with their shared romantic journey. Experiencing the different journeys alongside these endearing characters made for a very entertaining read.

I think what I love most about Farrah Rochonโ€™s writing is how she delivers happily-ever-afters that feel very true to real life. She doesnโ€™t rush to force resolutions just to tie everything up loose ends in a perfect bow. Life is messy and she beautifully captures that messiness in her charactersโ€™ lives, which makes her happily-ever-afters all the more fulfilling.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the chance to read this digital ARC.

What a great ending to the triology! In this book we focus on London, a top pediatric surgeon who gives all to her job. That changes when Drew walks back into her life at their high school reunion.

What I liked: Enemies to lovers, amazing chemistry and banter and the female friendships.

Final thoughts: I really enjoyed this book, especially how well the friends all support each other. Throw in a fantastic romance story and this was very enjoyable n

Finally Londonโ€™s story. I have loved every book in The Boyfriend Project series, but I think Londonโ€™s story might be my favorite one. The strong female friendship has a been the constant theme throughout the books. I think it is the love story.
But London and Drewโ€™s enemies to lovers story is so well told, bring in their history together and watching the characters grow. I never wanted the book to end.

Iโ€™ve only read the first of the series and havenโ€™t had time to read the second yet but definitely will go back for more from this author! Solid 4 star read, both main characters are successful and written well. The storyline is set in a hospital somewhat and there is a little bit of workplace drama/conflict along with some family issues each had to share/overcome to be able to settle into their own as couple.

Personally it wasnโ€™t a 5 star for me because the multi billion dollar man just doesnโ€™t do it for me but thatโ€™s not any reason to dissuade anybody else from reading this!

Canโ€™t wait to see what she writes next!
Thank you so much for the eARC!

I did not enjoy this book, but it's one of those "it's not you it's me" situations. I still love this author, I just think that all my love went to Samhia in The Boyfriend Project and I had nothing left for Taylor and London. I honestly could care less about anyone and thought the love/hate dynamic between London and Drew was just dumb. I'm actually excited she's writing something new and moving away from these 3. It will be refreshing.

Dr. London Kelley runs into her sworn enemy Drew Sullivan at their high school reunion.

But after a long banter, an almost broken ankle, and a couple of drinks โ€” little did they know that they'd come up with the nearly perfect hookup plan.

My favorite part of this book โ€” he falls first and hard. @farrahrochon just gave us the very best if the best.

The sexual tension was through the roof, and I'm glad I read this. And what makes this a gold gem is that it's focused on a thriving black couple who find love in the most unique and fun way.

I LOVED THIS! This is one of the best romance novels Iโ€™ve read so far this year and Iโ€™ve read a lot of them (and almost all the popular ones!) The characters were authentic, flawed, yet extremely lovable. The story line was endearing and felt honest and real. This is the first book Iโ€™ve read by Farrah Rochon but will absolutely not be my last.
