It was bittersweet to read The Hookup Plan, knowing it’s the final book in the The Boyfriend Project series. After watching Samiah and Taylor get their HEAs, I was so ready for London to get her shot! The whole reason she ended up meeting her two BFFs was because she was searching for a date for her upcoming 15 year class reunion. That “date” went viral, since the dude was also seeing Samiah and Taylor. London ends up flying solo to her reunion, with the added notoriety of the recent viral video.

London doesn’t have time to focus too much on the present, when so much of her future is at stake. She’s at the tail end of a prestigious pediatric surgery residency, looking forward to what comes next in her career. She loves the work she does at a county hospital in Austin, but she wants to make her mark in a more long lasting way, and she thinks she’s going to have to look elsewhere to make that happen.

She doesn’t plan on reuniting with her high school rival at the reunion, but when Drew shows up, London decides to end her dry spell with a hate-ish hookup. One hookup leads to… more, and they decide to keep their friends-with-benefits arrangement going.

Drew felt a little differently about London in high school, more reverence than rival. Now that he has a shot at getting to know her better, he’s all in. Except for the part where his company is tasked with huge budget overhauls at her hospital that could put her livelihood on the line… nbd, right?

This has all the humor, heart, and heat I’ve come to expect from Farrah Rochon books. There are layers of so many emotions built in. From past grief and trauma to present anxieties, Farrah dives into deep, complex stories without making them seem too heavy. The chemistry and steam between the two is so good! Drew was so dreamy, and I loved how thoughtful he was toward London.

Thought I'm sad the series has ended, I'm looking forward to seeing what's next for Farrah! Thanks to Forever and NetGalley for a review copy!

Farrah Rochon's series about a group of friends finding love has a special place in my heart. The Boyfriend Project series is just such a fun read that always reminds me of what I love about romance. Friends lift each other up, characters believe in starting again, and there's just a magical quality to the writing.

In The Hookup Plan, we finally see London get her happy ending! London is an always-busy doctor who doesn't have time to fall in love. Her friends suggest that she should just look for a casual hookup and the fun ensues from there. The Hookup Plan has an absolutely delightful enemies-to-lovers plot and you will be rooting for these two to work it out.

Fans of Denise Williams and Talia Hibbert will love this series!

After reading the first two books in this series, I was excited about finally getting London's book!

As always, I loved the scenes with Taylor, Samiah, and London and wished that there had been more. They are a friend group that bonded after finding out they were all dating the same guy and going viral. I loved the enemies-to-lovers aspect and loved how strong of a character London was! This was a great end to the series and I loved the epilogue.

Thank you to Netgalley and Forever Publishing for the advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Much of Rochon's book are your normal romance story tropes: two overachiever types reconnect at their high school reunion. London despised Drew in high school, but her incredibly successful career as a pediatric surgeon is causing her some stress-related health issues, so she decides maybe he is the perfect test candidate for her short term relaxation plan.

Despite sounding in all ways like an overused formulaic romance plot, Rochon's story pulled me in deeply. Was it the concentrated reading time I had on a flight across the country? Was it the contrast with a book I had merely put up with the week prior to picking this one up? Maybe. But I loved these characters, the dialogue was fantastic, the pages flew, and I just wanted London to accept that maybe Drew really was who he was. After all, I loved him!

The complications of hospital politics, old guard misogyny, and the thematic focus on struggling to help people we care about recover from serious illnesses added layers of depth to a story that could have stayed at the surface completely, but didn't.

I love the variety of books I am reading in every genre there is these days, learning and growing all the time. I wish I had done more of that all my life. But romance books like The Hookup Plan will always be my comfort zone. I loved it! I didn't know this one was the third in a series, so guess what I have to do now?! Just as soon as I catch up on four or five others sitting on my nightstand!

This is a great enemies to lovers romance. London and Daniel competed for the valedictorian spot, and ended in a tie, when they were in HS. London has been annoyed with him for years because of that. She’s a pediatric surgeon, and Daniel made a lot of money in a venture capital firm. Now, he consults to hospitals trying to decide whether to sell or stay open. Unfortunately, the hospital he’s working for now is the same one London works for.
They hooked up at the HS reunion before London knew he was consulting at her hospital, and could recommend its closure.
London is furious. Daniel doesn’t want to close the hospital down but can’t make her believe that he’s the good guy. At the same time, they can’t resist each other, which creates an awkward situation.
Farah Rochon’s romances are always good and this is no exception. I enjoyed this sweet romance, 4.5 stars.

Synopsis:
Strong female friendships and a snappy enemies-to-lovers theme take center stage in this highly anticipated romantic comedy from the USA Today bestselling author of The Dating Playbook.

Successful pediatric surgeon London Kelley just needs to find some balance and de-stress. According to her friends Samiah and Taylor, what London really needs is a casual hookup. A night of fun with no strings. But no one—least of all London—expected it to go down at her high school reunion with Drew Sullivan, millionaire, owner of delicious abs, and oh yes, her archnemesis.

Now London is certain the road to hell is paved with good sex. Because she’s found out the real reason Drew’s back in Austin: to decide whether her beloved hospital remains open. Worse, Drew is doing everything he can to show her that he’s a decent guy who actually cares. But London’s not falling for it. Because while sleeping with the enemy is one thing, falling for him is definitely not part of the plan.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed as in this review are completely my own.

London's story brings the trilogy to an end and on a very high note! I enjoyed this one just as much, if not more, than the others. London and Drew are high school rivals and there's not a better place for them to clash again than their high school reunion. And they clash in the best ways! I love how they both are battling issues from their pasts that are similar and how they heal together. I also love how we get the "girl power" relationship again in this story that has been such a part of the others. A beautiful happily ever after to the awesome threesome. I'm going to miss them! And that's the sign of a GREAT book!

Loved this one!! London and Drew were the perfect rivals to lovers story!! I enjoyed the exploration of love, career, friendship, and family relationships. The subtle exploration of the failures of public health was interesting and added an extra layer of substance. Such a cute and layered romance.

Thank you to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the advanced reading copy of this book. Review contains my own thoughts and opinions.

The Hookup Plan was so good! A perfect HS nemeses turned hookup partners to more romance. Add in London Kelley’s relatability as a perfectionist with stress for miles, and Drew Sullivan’s top tier book boyfriend status and Farrah Rochon has a winning book!

It’s book three in The Boyfriend Project series, and readers of the first two will love continued updates on friends Samiah and Taylor. However, it works as a standalone, too!

Absolute fire. The emotional rollercoaster this author took you on was a wild one to say the least. I can't recommend "The Hookup Plan" enough. Farrah Rochon has never done us dirty and that is what makes her amazing.

The chemistry between Drew and London is crazy. Enemies to lovers? Secret pining? Banter? Yes yes yes!! There were some unnecessary details and explanations, but I really enjoyed this. This is a really great contemporary rivals to lovers. Highly recommend!!

This series is just so much fun!
I love Samiah, Taylor and London in the previous books and was happy to catch up with them. This time it is London’s turn to fall in love and I actually think this may be my favorite one yet!
.
London is a successful pediatric surgeon but there’s no relaxation or romantic love in her life. She needs to distress and what better way than a no strings relationship? Honestly, though it’s impossible not to fall in love with her former classmate Drew. They reconnect at their 15 year reunion and let’s just say they no longer hate each other. I really loved Drew and London’s journey of self discovery. @farrahrochon writes in such an entertaining way. Her books are pure fun!

This one is out today!

Oh hey it’s me again, reading a contemporary romance series out of order😂🙋🏻‍♀️ I read the first, THE BOYFRIEND PROJECT back at the beginning of my #bookstagram journey & I strongly suggest starting with it. Although reading the second isn’t necessary to understand this story, the third contains plot spoilers so I would recommend reading these in order!

THE HOOKUP PLAN is a lovely enemies-to-lovers contemporary romance story full of steam, important workplace mental health discussions, complex daddy issues, and a fearless health care worker who adores her patients. Although I enjoyed the first more, I’d still recommend this for anyone looking for an enjoyable contemporary romance read💗

London Kelley is a pediatric surgeon - (Yes!! I love seeing women in these strong roles!) Anywhooo, London is stressed and needs to find a healthy way--over than eating sugary foods--to deal with her de-stress. When she attends her high school reunion and spots her archnemesis, Drew Sullivan, London suggests a hookup since he's leaving the next day.

Drew has always have a crush on London and jumps at the chance to show London a side of him she has never seen. (And boy did she!) All he can hope is the hookup will lead to something more. If only London will give him a chance.

THE HOOKUP PLAN hooked me from the first page. Listen!! It is funny and I loved loved the connection between London and Drew. This was a great enemies to lovers and high-school rivals story, I loved the humor but also the heartwarming connections that can be made with the characters. I love love and I love reading about love and it takes skill, which Farrah has aplenty to take you to the Happy-Ever-After you know is coming. Now, let's talk about that cover. I think it is eye-catching and makes you want to see what is inside.

Thank you, #Netgalley for allowing me to read this fun story! Though it's a part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.

I was hooked 3 chapters in, but a bit disappointed that London spends so much time being upset at Drew because of what happened in high school. And he wasn’t even mean to her in high school!!! Besides that, the book was fun to read and in love the witty banter. Drew sounds amazing.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. London is such a badass pediatric surgeon who runs into Drew, her childhood nemesis from high school at their 15 year high school reunion. Turns out Drew is in town for more than just the reunion. After one night together Drew shows up at the hospital as part of the company in charge the audit team.
This book contains:
strong characters
childhood enemies to lovers
guy falls first

This is the third book in the Boyfriend project series. It can be read as a stand alone. So far this is the only book I've read by Farrah Rochon and I will definitely be adding the first two books in the series to my tbr.

Thank you to netgalley and grand central publishing for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This author's books have only gotten better since her first Boyfriend Project novel!

London may have been my favorite of these three bad ass ladies and I'm so glad that she got such a full story. I really appreciated how this seemed like a realistically paced relationship for a romance and the secondary issues, like London's relationship with her father and her career prospects, weren't resolved so perfectly like in many stories.

I will definitely recommend this book and the first two in this companion series to fellow romance readers!

So, enemies-to-lovers is my favorite trope💜. ALSO, I love reading books set in my hometown, Austin, Texas. This book has both 😍👏.
.
London Kelley is a pediatric surgeon, and she’s stressed. Her blood pressure is not a fan. Her besties, Taylor and Samiah, think a hookup will help. At her high school reunion, London runs into her old nemesis, Drew Sullivan. He’s hot, rich, and lives across the country, the perfect one-night stand. When she learns he will be in town for a while on business and working at her hospital, her initial mortification morphs into a hookup plan. She’s a busy surgeon, so no emotions involved, no dating, and absolutely no strings attached. But can London stick to her own plan?
.
I love the boss lady vibes from all the females in this book. London is a brilliant witty superstar in her field, and her friends are thriving professionally as well. I loved that their meetups occurred at some of my favorite Austin restaurants 😍!
.
This book was fabulous as a stand-alone, but I also plan to read the first two books. I read and listened to this book. Thank you to @readforeverpub and @hachetteaudio for these digital ARCs in exchange for an honest review.

The Hookup Plan - Farrah Rochon
4/5⭐️

We all know that a friends with benefits situation in a romance novel never ends up only being that, it always turns into something more. Its why I read romance - the stability of knowing there will always be a happy ending. "The Hookup Plan" by Farrah Rochon did not disappoint - providing not only the happy ending but some real depth with discussions of grief, friendship, the healthcare system, relationships between parents and their adult children, and life goals. There is steam, but more importantly there is a great build-up between fierce London and her former bitter rival from high school Drew.

I am sad to have finished "The Boyfriend Project" series, this being the last one in it but these are fairly standalone at the same time. They each are the story of a woman who is catfished by Craig on Valentine's Day, and the friendship that emerges from that is at the heart of the series. The way the three women have their own careers and lives - not needing a man but fall for him anyway, and support each other through it all. I loved seeing Samiah and Taylor play strong roles in this book and where they are since their books ended.

If you like Abby Jimenez or Jasmine Guillory, I would suggest picking up this series (or just this book). It is out today (August 2nd) by Forever Publications, with an additional thank you to Netgalley for helping me access this e-ARC.

I love a good enemies to lovers book. I didn't realize when requesting this book that it was the last in the authors series for The Boyfriend Project. I wish I would have read the others before this one. I felt that the connection between London and Drew was great. Whenever characters agree for things to be "casual" you always know where the story is going lol. The one thing I don't care for is the high-school rivals part of this book. It is so far from highschool... like who cares at that point? But this was a good romance book overall.
