Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Pub for my gifted copy - all thoughts are my own!
I really enjoyed London's story - she reminds me of a couple of my single friends so I found her and her friends totally relatable. She has high standards for herself, as we all should, and I loved how Drew worked to prove that he met those. Each character had depth to their background that contributed to the overall buildup of connection between the two as they figured each other out. Enemies to lovers is my favorite trope, and this book reminds me of why. The banter, the chemistry, and the undeniable pull between the two was so well done.
Will definitely be reading more of Farrah in the future!
I am going to be the first to admit that I didn’t finish this book. However, it wasn’t because of the plot or the writing. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the evolvement of the characters, as well as the romance aspect of it. And the writing, like all of Rochon’s books, was really great. I unfortunately just wasn’t the biggest fan of London. I found her obnoxious and not very likable at times. It just got to a point where I grew tired of her “attitude” and couldn’t continue reading. But a lot of people would probably love this book!
I knew I would love this book. I just love this whole series and it brought me joy! The audio narration was wonderful.
Farrah Rochon has done it again!
Her rom coms are always so refreshing with a sprinkle of humor added in to keep you hooked into the story. I truly enjoyed this novel and the characters were very relatable.
I hope one day that Netflix or Amazon will pick up one if her titles and transform it into a movie. We need more rom coms such as this one on the big screen!
Fun final book in the series. I really enjoyed the two characters, I thought London was a wee bit too harsh with Drew and took too long to truly get over their past and see him for the man he actually is. That being said, I did really love their story and finally getting to see inside London's head since in the first two books she's definitely the most closed off.
I've really enjoyed this series by Farrah Rochon and have been eagerly awaiting London's story. Unfortunately, this one didn't live up to my expectations - however, full disclosure I was reading this while in the middle of a move, which definitely and me a bit more distracted and could have impacted my enjoyment.
Overall, I ended up finding London to be a bit annoying and she graded on my nerves. Her insistance that she and Drew were "sworn enemies" was a bit much. Additionally, in London's internal dialogue she would acknowledge multiple times that her issues with Drew were really issues with her Dad, but she didn't change her behavior at all and still acted like she hated him, which just continued to frustrate me. Due to a lot of this I wasn't very interested in their relationship and just ended up bored.
Thank you to the publisher and Negalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Not in my romance era. Could not do it. I’m sure there is great joy to be found for many readers and do not want my opinions to unjustly sway others from trying it for themselves. Again, just no longer my bag here.
I am sorry for the inconvenience but I don’t have the time to read this anymore and have lost interest in the concept. I believe that it would benefit your book more if I did not skim your book and write a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.
I loved this couple, and their longtime academic rivals to lovers arc, It really aided in creating depth in the characters, and the main conflict was a strong, non-petty one.. There was so many heartwarming moments between these two characters as their relationship developed and I thoroughly enjoyed London’s friends and their insights as well.
Thank you to Forever Publishing for sending me a copy of this book to review.

While it took me a bit to truly get invested into the book and characters - once I was in it, I was in it! While I think the love story (and spice) in the second book makes it my favorite of this trio of books, The Hookup Plan comes in at a close 2nd. I really enjoyed London as a character and her portrayal of a talented, busy woc that excels at her own physical and mental expense truly resonated with me. I also the Drew might be my favorite MMC of the series. This is one of those rare books where I was literally talking back to the characters because I was so invested! I can't wait to read more from the author and I wouldn't be opposed to a spin off series just so we can get a follow up peek at the 3 friends at the heart this.
4.5 out of 5 wine glasses
It’s good to see a series end on a good note
I love Farrah , drama started right off the bat!!!girls before dudes
London having Drew pine over him for years 😍🙌 just amazing chemistry
The Hookup Plan kicks off with highly successful and a bit of a perfectionist London being hyper focused on making sure that her ten year high school reunion goes off without a hitch and right away, I'm deeply invested in London. We were introduced to her in The Boyfriend Project and I've been excited about her story since then because there's something about following fellow gifted kids trying to figure out how to create an identity not solely focused around their accomplishments that resonates for me. (To be fair, this book doesn't actually talk about her having been in gifted, but... Let's be real, she fits the type.) ANYWAY, London is trying to find a hobby (she's picked up crochet) but her friends also think she needs a good one night stand. London is a little shocked at herself for not only having a one night stand, but having one with her high school rival, Drew. But she's comfortable enough with the experience because she'll never have to see him again since he's going to go back to NYC, where he lives. Except... Turns out, Drew is actually in town to audit the hospital London works in.
While I'm not sure the pacing of this book entirely worked for me and tonally, the book really seemed to shift from fun and light to more deeply emotional than my brain was quite ready for (Drew's still grieving his mom who passed away from an aggressive form of cancer about a year ago), I did really love the character work in this book and found it to be a really successful conclusion to Rochon's trilogy. And all in all, I would recommend.
The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon is a delightful romantic escape that hits all the right notes. Rochon weaves a charming tale of fake relationships, unexpected sparks, and the messiness of love. The characters are relatable, the dialogue is snappy, and the chemistry between the leads is electric. It's a feel-good read with just the right blend of humor, heart, and steam. If you're in the mood for a lighthearted romance that will leave you with a grin, this one's a solid pick. Farrah Rochon knows how to deliver the perfect dose of swoon-worthy moments and happily-ever-afters
I can't believe that I read this book so long ago, and never provided feedback.
Really enjoyed this novel. High school rivals to lovers is one of those hate to love sub tropes that I adore. Especially when as adults there's a slight power imbalance (a slight one, not a major one).
Romance aside, I just love how London with Drew's help was able to relax, and let go. Have that confrontation with her father. Be there for her sisters.
I'm a bit sad that this was the last book in the Boyfriend Project trilogy. While the romance was central to each book, the series was about the friendship that these women made, and also the ability to grow as a person through the friendships and the romances. It didn't solve all the problems, but it helped each of them let go a small part of the problem that was holding them back, and preventing them from going after their dreams.
First, I love everything from this author.
Next, I loved this book. enemies to lovers (not my favorite, but I'll take it), an arrangement where they catch feeling accidentally, sexual tension, badass characters.
LOVE.
I love Rochon and this one was a great addition to her books! This book is everything I wanted with enemies to lovers and hot romance.
This book was excellent, and a great way to finish the series! I can only hope Farrah Rochon writes more female friendships the way she did with London, Taylor, and Samiah.
The final installment of a series full of strong women and this time London’s story is brought to life. A pediatric surgeon, she literally puts her heart into her work. It’s relatable to see how she grows learning that she is looking for more work life/personal balance which so many people struggle with. Great story, great series!
While a big fan of the previous two books in this series, sadly this one just didn’t hit the mark for me. The relationship between London and Drew felt unbalanced, and I hated the way it seemed like London was just using Drew when he clearly had feelings for her. It made me not like her. I enjoyed the parts about London and her dad, and how she was able to finally be honest with him about her feelings. Overall, a three star read.
