I might have an uncommon opinion on this one but I didn’t love it. It was just ok. I really didn’t like how it started. I couldn’t stand London. I didn’t really like her through the whole book but she did get less annoying. I did enjoy the ending which made me give this an extra star. If you like rom coms then you should still give this one a try because I feel like most people are going to love it.

The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon is the third book in this series (but can be read as a standalone) and is the story of London who has been one of my favorite characters throughout this series.

London is a successful pediatric surgeon who has no time for things like boyfriends or relationships. When she runs into Drew, her former HS nemeses at her 15 year High School Reunion she finds the perfect opportunity for a one night stand. She soon learns that Drew is actually in town with his company who is conducting an evaluation of the hospital where London works to evaluate how to try to save it from sale. While Drew is in town, he and London continue to have a series of hook ups that look and feel more and more like a relationship. How will London navigate these conflicting feelings?

London and Drew are really great characters and I have LOVED this whole series by Farrah. I thought this book started with a bang. I loved the set up at the HS reunion and the rivalry between Drew and London. London is the queen of sass and banter so their back and forth was so much fun to read. I felt like the story kind of fizzled at the end though. It ended so abruptly I thought I had hit something on my audio book and skipped chapters.

Overall, this is a good read but not my favorite book of the series. I do love Farrah's writing and will continue to read everything she does.

Thank you to Forever for allowing me an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This book was my most anticipated romance of the summer! I have been looking forward to London's story since I read The Boyfriend Project. She's basically me, just kidding, but we do have a lot of things in common (including playing the clarinet in marching band in high school). This was a great enemies to lovers romance. I I loved how London and Drew's relationship developed throughout the book. Their banter was so good and it was so cute seeing Drew break down London's hard exterior. If this book isn't on your radar, you need to add it to your TBR now. I'm sad to see this series end but the epilogue was *chef's kiss*

We all know that going viral can ruin lives but Farrah Rochon has shown in her Boyfriend Project series that sometimes there is a silver lining to the experience. The Hookup Plan is the third book in the author’s collection of tales about how three women gain notoriety for taking down a catfisher in a very public manner and then go on to find true love. You don’t have to read the first two books to enjoy this installment but I recommend them since they are fabulous.

Dr. London Kelley has been pushing herself to be the best of the best ever since she was a young child. She is so obsessed with perfection that when the chocolate fountain at the class reunion she planned begins to malfunction yet again she races over to fix it herself. And winds up with chocolate stains all over her red sequined pantsuit and makes a mess around the snack table. That, of course, is when the school’s most successful alumni, Drew Sullivan, saunters up to speak to her. London is convinced he waited for just this moment so he could once more one-up her.

Drew had a crush on London back in the day and is still fascinated by the driven, caustic, brilliant woman. He felt their old rivalry helped them to be the best they could be and he is damn grateful for the results. He’s a millionaire hedge fund manager well on the way to becoming even richer. London is a talented rising star in the field of pediatric surgery. For his part, Drew is ready to put the past in the past and see what the present holds for their sizzling chemistry. Which, after a string of convenient events, winds up being an awesome night of mind-blowing sex.

London isn’t drunk when she hooks up with Drew after the reunion but she does wonder afterwards if she had some sort of temporary brain damage to even consider being with him. The man had been her only rival in school and she still holds a grudge for every award he won that she wanted, and for forcing her to be a co-valedictorian rather than letting her have that honor to herself. Once out of his hotel room, London gives herself a mental pep talk about being entitled to a single bad decision and forcefully puts their amazing one-night stand out of her mind by indulging in comfort food and time with her besties. But within hours she finds herself back at Drew’s suite repeating the experience. It’s like she’s developed an addiction. The only thing keeping London from hating herself completely over her new obsession is the fact that Drew will be leaving Monday and she never has to see him again.

If you’ve read more than one romance novel, you already know that there is no way Drew is leaving Monday. What happens instead is that London learns that the real reason Drew returned to Austin wasn’t the high school reunion but an audit of the public hospital London works at. They’ve been considering going private and Drew is there to help them assess which, among many options, is the better business decision. Only London doesn’t think medicine should ever be about the bottom line. Once more, Drew and London find themselves in competition – only this time they have to decide if they can finally work together to achieve the best possible option or if they’re fated to remain adversaries forever.

I wasn’t loving this book at the beginning. London is so acerbic towards Drew at the start that I found myself actively disliking her. My idea of romance doesn’t often involve snide comments followed by hot sex, which is the plot for the first few chapters. Fortunately, that doesn’t last. London figures out fairly quickly that her behavior towards Drew is immature and based on her daddy issues, and she changes it. I liked that she remains blunt, opinionated, and driven – London doesn’t change her personality – she just stops being furious at Drew for the problems she had with her father during her teen years. Once that happens these two settle into a terrific relationship.

Drew has always loved that London is smart, outspoken, ambitious, and direct. Their new intimacy allows him to see the more caring side of her. Not only is she terrific with her young patients but she is genuinely invested in and concerned with the staff at the hospital, her two close girlfriends Taylor and Samiah, her mom and step-mom, and her young half-siblings. Drew has only his uncle left now that his mom has passed, and he loves how connected London is without even realizing how many people she has in her life. He also likes that she can be both caregiver and care receiver. She allows him to help her relax and plan surprises for her as well as doing those things for him.

By the mid-point of the story, it’s clear London and Drew are a perfect couple. Their shared history makes them very comfortable together and gives them a strong foundation for their relationship, and they have terrific chemistry from the moment they reconnect. They are also both successful professionals who understand what it takes to be outstanding and give each other the time and space needed to invest in their careers. Drew, especially, is supportive of London’s job while simultaneously encouraging her to take care of herself and have a life outside of work. I liked that they are independent enough not to be in each other’s pockets all the time while still being people who absolutely love being together. This is one of those stories where the heroine and hero feel meant to be. Once we get past that rough start, their love story is joyous and captures perfectly the magic of finding The One.

Ms. Rochon also does a terrific job of depicting how modern romance works. Too often I see stories that include behaviors/language that would have been common thirty years ago but are not at all the norm today. That doesn’t happen here. Everything feels very much like a relationship that would take place in the here and now.

Once past a slightly rough start, The Hookup Plan is a wonderful book and a delightful conclusion to the Boyfriend Project series. If you are a fan of smexy contemporary romances at all, I think you will enjoy this one.

A wonderful final installment in the Boyfriend Project series. An enjoyable and believable contemporary romance with well written characters and great chemistry. You'll definitely want to add this to your TBR.

Thank you NetGalley and Forever for providing me with this E-ARC in exchange for a honest review.

I’m not going to lie — I did not care for the main setting in this book - the hospital that the main character works at. I didn’t care about the issues that the hospital was having, and what was going to get done to fix those issues.

I skimmed through most of the book because I felt like there was so much detail in regards to the hospital that was unnecessary.

I will say that the spicy scenes in this book were great, and that is why this book is a 3 star.

When attending her high school reunion, the heroine meets her archnemesis and ends up having a one-night stand with the hero. Afterward, the heroine learns that the hero will be at her workplace for a major decision about the hospital's future. As the heroine tries to find ways to keep her workplace operational, she entera a sexual relationship with the hero. This results in making the heroine and hero become closer during this tumultuous time period. Will the heroine let obstacles stand in the way of making a relationship with the hero work? Or will the heroine open her heart to the hero and a happy ending?

This is the last book in The Boyfriend Project series. I really liked the female friendship that blossomed in the series, which is the strongest point throughout the whole three books. This book featured an amazing hero, which is also a strong feature of this series. The heroines from each book are a mixed bag in personal favorability. This book's heroine is a strong career woman, but her personality was hard to like all the time; it would be nice to see a smoother transition in her growth. Overall, this is a nice book to end the whole series and I look forward to reading more Farrah Rochon books in the future.

DNF at 20%. I’m not a fan of hooking up first thing in the story. I also didn’t care for the crude way the girls spoke.. This just isn’t my type of book. I read the first 2 in this series, so I really wanted to read this one. Usually enemies to lovers is a favorite trope but this one wasn’t working for me and the story wasn’t enticing enough for me to look past the language and overall tone of the book.

I received a complimentary copy of the book from Forever.

Such a fun rivals to lovers. Drew and London have a rocky history as high school nemeses. They are both ambitious and successful in their own careers, but cannot deny the chemistry between them.

As Drew gets involved with London’s workplace, I love how he will not let her ignore him and finds ways to earn her support and trust. The banter between these two was so fun.

One my favorite parts of this series has been the strong friendship that formed as they were all duped by the same guy. These women are all totally there for each other and I loved it!

The Hookup Plan is a well written enemies to lovers romance full of drama, heart and friendship.
London is as stubborn as they come but it was a fun journey to see her let her guard down and learn to love Drew. I also appreciated the storyline between London and her dad and how it ended. It was a frustrating and yet satisfying conclusion that gave London more depth. Drew is equally strong and vulnerable. He was at his hottest whenever he held back, never pushing London to move faster than she was ready. I really enjoyed this story and am looking for more from Ms. Rochon.

Thank you to Forever and NetGalley for the advanced copy.

✔️Lots of family drama in this book that adds depth to the overall story
✔️the friendship that forms between London, Samoan and Taylor in the first book continues to grow stronger
This is probably my favourite book in this series

What a fun enemies to lovers read! This is technically the third book in The Boyfriend Project series, however each of the three books act as standalone reads. Seeing as I haven’t read either of the previous two books, I would agree that this one was great on its own, however I can see how if you read the other books in the series, it would be even better.

London and Drew had the perfect enemies to lovers story, and I could really feel the chemistry between them as I was reading the book. There were definitely some steamy moments, and it kept me wanting to read more.

What I liked most about this book was London. I loved her character and her sass, and how she was overall just a boss girl killing it! There were a few moments where I did find her a bit annoying when it came to how she acted towards Drew, but overall she was a boss.

Another aspect I really enjoyed about the book was the friendship and bond that London, Samiah and Taylor had. This book touches on their history, but the previous two books in the series go into more detail about their story. Because of their bond and how they managed to form a friendship out of their situation, it makes me want to read the rest of the series to find out how the other two girls make out in their paths.

Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good enemies to lovers read with a bit of spice to it.

I can't believe we're to the end of this series! I have sincerely enjoyed the premise of this series, and how these ladies met. It celebrates female friendship in such a wonderful way. Plus, after what happened to them in the beginning, it is really nice to see them get their HEAs. I'm so glad we got an enemies-to-lovers for this last book. Drew and London have been completing since they were teens, and we get to see that in the workplace as adults. It's fun seeing them fall for each other! Even when you know the hookup plan is going to take them there, I love when characters really think they'll pull it off and not catch feelings!

The main character of this book is an amazing badass pediatric surgeon who sticks up for the people who need her most. I loved London's passion in this book because as someone who comes from a neighborhood of underfunded clinics where people's diagnoses come a little too late, she makes me wish for more health providers with compassion for their patients.

London also represented something I haven't seen in other characters which is her high risk of hypertension and the struggle to break habits while realizing the need for them. She eats un-nourishing foods and continues to stress out all while understanding the importance of making healthier decisions, she depits the reality of making changes.

The romance was top tier, just the right amount of angst alongside a healthy (and satisfied) sex drive, enemies to lovers, and workplace rivals (onesided).

Thanks to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review and the opportunity to read this work of art.

London is a workaholic 5th year pediatric surgical resident who has been trying to win her father's approval her entire life. Drew is a big shot ex hedge fun manger that now consults/audits medical systems. They also happen to be nemesis from high school.

I love London's confidence and ability to speak her mind. She is a refreshing female main character in that she a smart, beautiful, confident, black woman who occasionally cusses like a sailor and doesn't put up with anyone's garbage. Drew is very charming and patient throughout the book and is confident but willing to admit fault when needed.

The book is pretty predictable and is pretty straight forward. I have not read the first two books in the series, but this is able to stand on it's own. I like the side stories with London's siblings and her girlfriends. There are many steamy bits throughout the book. It's a solid rom com pick and easy to read.

Is it too cheesy to say I was hooked on The Hookup Plan? Lol I'll see myself out. I sat and finished this in a day because it was sweet and fun and delightfully steamy. I loved the dual POV between Drew and London and that both characters were working toward some emotional inner peace while also finding their way to each other. You know what I also REALLY liked? The lack of a third act breakup. Thanks Ms. Rochon, this reader really appreciated that.

I didn't realize that this is actually the third in a series until I started it (oops!) but that didn't hinder my enjoyment of the story at all. If anything, I'm now super excited to go back and read the first two books!

My only complaint is that there is a certain character who I REALLY wanted to see taken down, and they weren't. Iykyk. Otherwise, this is a quick, fun, and sexy story and I enjoyed it!

OMG!! The heat in this book! I can’t even get over how explosive Drew and London are, whether they are arguing or burning up the bedroom.

I loved how competitive and passionate these two are but also how compassionate and giving. I have never been so glad to accidentally come upon an author before. I can’t wait to dive into the backlist.

London was such a delightful MC! I adored how outspoken and tough she was. And I could really relate to her relationship with her dad. Drew was ok but the reason I really loved this book was because of London and her relationships.

The Hookup Plan was the perfect way to end this book series! I loved everything about it! Enemies-to-lovers done right with such strong female characters and friendships. Strong female friendships is the major theme throughout this series.

This can definitely be read as a standalone but I would suggest the entire series...my love and rating grew with each book.

I loved this series so much, but this book takes the top spot for me!

Hot Takes:
-I loved London SO SO SO much. And while Drew was fantastic, London was who the book was about, hands down. She is who I want to be when I grow up.
-Loved the backdrop of the hospital. The story that went along with it, London's journey and the community at the hospital was everything.
- I don't read a lot of childhood enemies to lovers but I want to read more after reading this!
- And while this book was so much about London for me, Drew is a FANTASTIC rich man character and I ate him up!
