The Hookup Plan was a fun way to wrap up a really cute series. It’s a quick and easy read - great way to spend a summer weekend. I’d give this one 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

London Kelley is a workaholic surgeon who is reunited with her high school nemesis, Drew Sullivan, at their class reunion. Circumstances (don’t ask me to recall the specifics) lead to them hooking up. When Drew turns out to be in town for work, they agree to keep their extracurricular activities going as long as it stays completely separate from their professional interactions.

I really liked Drew as a hero but London never really grew on me. I never fully understood why she felt so compelled to stay in her job except for the ego boost. I also wish we got a bit more of Drew’s backstory and that the story spent more time on Drew and London together instead of in their separate storylines.

Content warnings: The male MC’s mother died of cancer prior to the events of the book. The female MC’s father is a narcissist.

Thanks to Forever and NetGalley for the gifted copy. All opinions are my own.

THIS BOOK GOT RID OF MY READING SLUMP AND HAS BLESSED MY LIFE!

This book was everything I needed at best possible time! Finally, I was given a dedicated MC, a sassy but soft love interest with a mix of old academia rivals from high school vibes and a pinch of one side enemies to lovers.
The perfect end to the trilogy!

I want to note that I will physically fight and would make it my mission to ruin the lives of London's dad and Dr Coleman.

The Hookup Plan was a great conclusion to this series as we finally get to have London’s story.

While I absolutely adored this book, I didn’t feel like it was as strong as the first two books.

What I loved:

Getting to know and understand London.
London is a pediatrician surgeon resident whose reputation already has colleagues both loving and hating her, which is made worse considering she’s a Black female. She’s incredibly confident in both her knowledge and abilities and refuses to let anyone tell her otherwise (rightfully so).

The history and chemistry between London and Drew. While I empathized with London more (since her experiences mirrored so much of my own), I couldn’t help but love the competitive behavior and banter between them.

I loved that we still got interactions between London, Samiyah, and Taylor, but they were less frequent in this story versus the previous three. I wanted a bit more girl time, but I understand that the trio wasn’t the forefront of this story.

What I didn’t love:

My one gripe from this book was how the audiobook narrator narrated the steamy scenes. The scenes themselves were fantastically written but the narrator delivered a monotone delivery. It made for a jilted experience.

What a delight to read - At their high school reunion, co-valedictorian rivals London and Drew set eyes on each other for the first time since, well, then. Will the rivalry evolve or ramp up?

This read is all about the boundaries we put up, the stories we tell ourselves, the grief we hide, and how we respond to others - and how all of those come together to drive professional decisions, how we invest our time in ourselves and relationships, and willingness to take a leap.

Thank you to Netgalley and Forever Publishing for the ARC.

This stunning friendship trilogy is over. But what an ending Rochon has given us!
London knows clinical very well. That’s how she approaches an arrangement with someone she has despised since high school, Drew. She offers a very clinical suggestion: they hookup for good sex and nothing more. Drew has wanted London since high school, but he’s no pushover. He has some demands of their own.
As always with Rochon’s writing, it’s witty, emotional, heartfelt, and on point. Join me in reading London’s plan as we round out a trifecta of terrific, all due to one dude’s ego.

I adored this story!⁣

This was a laugh out loud funny, enemies to lovers, with some hilarious enemies banter, that I always adore. I love when they get each other riled up. ⁣

This starts off with London, our last of the girl besties, pediatric surgeon, at her 15 year high school reunion. Drew her co-valedictorian nemesis is present, a millionaire, and seggsier than she remembered but still there to get under her skin. ⁣

London has been under a lot of stress at work and thinks getting some of the goods will help with de-stressing; Drew sexy and an out of towner seems like the perfect hook up buddy.⁣

I loved how straight forward these two were with each other. Asking for what they wanted and going for it. Realizing they may have been enemies for no reason and growing a friendship that quite possibly could turn into more. ⁣

THE HOOKUP PLAN by Farrah Rochon is an enjoyable read with London and Drew's witty banter, rivals-to-lovers tension, and complex family relationship. A great book to wrap up this series!

Oh how sad I am that this is the last book in the Boyfriend Project trio.

London Kelly always intimidated me in the previous two books just because she is so accomplished at such a young age. I liked finally getting to know her backstory and how she became such a bad*ss pediatric surgeon. Plus I enjoyed her opening herself up to finding love.

A fun series with memorable characters.

What a great end to the Boyfriend Project series! Drew is the perfect match for London’s signature intensity. It was interesting to see a glimpse of how modern healthcare works from both a medical and financial perspective.

We finally get to see London’s weird family dynamic in all its glory in this book. London no longer wastes her time or energy on her self-absorbed father, but she does make an effort to spend time with her stepmom and three much-younger siblings. Also, her mom and stepmom are best friends. The scenes with (most) of her family are simultaneously awkward and heartwarming and I’m totally here for it.

besties Samiah and Taylor know just what she needs….to get laid! When she runs into her high school rival Drew Sullivan at the reunion, it seems the perfect opportunity for a one night shag she will never see again. Too bad his company is the one performing the audit at her hospital, meaning she will be seeing a lot of Drew. Now that she is having some of the best sex of her life, she isn’t sure how to deal with the fact she is sleeping with the enemy.

Taylor, London and Samiah are by far one of my favorite trios of girlfriends that fiction has to offer. I absolutely loved the immediate chemistry and fantastic banter between Drew and London. I also really enjoyed the deeper reasons behind why both of them were so hard on each other during high school. They both had some serious pain to work through, and I really enjoyed that they worked through it together. If you haven’t read this series yet, you are missing out. If you have, be sure to pre-order this one asap, you won’t want to miss it.

Thank you Netgalley for the advanced reading copy! This is the final book in The Boyfriend Project series, where three friends meet over all dating the same bad guy. This was a sweet, charming, and thoughtful conclusion to this series, which I loved. I am sad to say goodbye to these amazing women. London is a pediatric surgeon in Austin, Texas, when she re-connects with her high school enemy Drew. Since they have chemistry, Drew is here on a work trip, and London does not want a commitment, they make a plan to hook up while Drew is in town. But will they last beyond this weekend booty call? I loved that Drew was gone for London from the start and that London took some time to come around. I loved that London and Drew were focused on their careers, but took time to get to know each other as their relationship blossomed. I loved how Rochon did a great job depicting well rounded characters, particularly career focused and realistic women main leads. But this series really steals my heart with the friendship between three women. I love them all, and love all their happy endings coming to fruition in different and charming ways. I teared up in the epilogue seeing them all happy together. I recommend this book and series for fans of contemporary romance, Black love, strong and career focused female representation, and mental health representation.

So, I’ve read each book of this series, and this is probably my favorite. Order is probably 3, 1, then 2. My actual score is 3.5, but I’ll round up due to the spice and perfectness of Drew.

Overall, I thought the back was missing something, but I can’t fully name what it is. I really struggled with the pacing of this story. It wasn’t a slow burn, but the story felt like it was dragging to an imaginary word/page count. There were plot points that felt like clear edits, and I wished would’ve been reconsidered. I still managed to engage with the story and finish it in one day.

I absolutely adored Drew as a character. I loved that he was patient and was developed beyond being an amazing lover. I’m also partial to men who fall first and own their feelings. I loved the banter between Drew and London, and I truly cheered for them to make it.

Selfishly, I was looking forward to London’s story, but I didn’t enjoy how she was written. I definitely think this was more of a Drew story and conclusion of the series as London was written with a very negative taint.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

3.75 stars. Solid novel with lots of romance and a nicely developed relationship between the very likeable main characters, Drew and London. This is the last in a three-part series but I have not read the other two novels and it stood well on its own. I really liked the strong female lead and the setting in the children’s hospital where she works as a pediatric surgical resident was very interesting. I enjoyed seeing the story from both Drew’s and London’s points of view and it,was refreshing that there was no big fight and break-up. This story touched upon issues beyond the romantic relationship - toxic family relationships, the pressure of balancing work and personal life, and sexism against strong, talented, confident professional women. The writing style was easy to read and the story flowed well. I did think that the second half of the book was a bit slower paced than the first but overall, this was a good read.

Thanks to Grand Central Publishing and Netgalley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

DNF at 35&. There was nothing about this story that made me look forward to picking it back up when I set it down. The synopsis made it sound like this was enemies-to-lovers, and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't, but more like London vs. herself and her own insecurities. I thought I would enjoy reading that type of story. I didn't like how London was nasty to Drew at the beginning of the book for no reason. They hadn't seen each other in 15 years and she was still holding a grudge from high school, not taking into account that people can change. I also think Drew should have been honest with London from the start about why he was in town. And, probably the part that sealed the deal on this book for me was that it's a closed-door romance. I wanted spice! Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for an e-ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of The Hookup Plan Book.
I haven't read the first two books of this trilogy but. That enemies to lovers trope makes me smile. London is a strong FMC. GO GIRL. I love her character development throughout the story. Drew on the other hand is a rich who spoils his loved ones. I love their banter.
Overall I enjoy reading the book and will highly recommend to friends who want to read a enemies to lovers romance.

I really adored this book! There was much more steam than in The Boyfriend Project (and I haven't read The Dating Playbook yet). I really loved the heart of this book. Enemies to lovers is always a win in my book!

Dr. London Kelley has it all: a prestigious residency, a place to call her own and best friends that have her back. However, things may explode in her face if she doesn't learn the art of taking "me time." Enter Drew Sullivan, the ever charming and handsome man she reconnected with at her high school reunion. Drew is ready to try to make amends but London is unable to forget how much of a pain Drew was during her final years of school. Can she get past their history and truly let him, let alone anyone, in? Will she completely burn out before her career takes off?

I have to say this one took me a bit to get into. The author had a very different story-telling style than I'm used to. I really appreciated how the pacing never faltered though, it may not have been the traditional way to tell a rom-com story, but it was never boring. I always found myself rooting for Dr. Kelley and I really enjoyed her interactions with Drew as well but once it got to the meat of the story I really was rooting for both characters. They had a very down-to-earth feeling friendship throughout, which was really lovely to experience. Overall, it was a pretty good romance story and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good story with a little drama thrown in, especially if you don't like a lot of spice in your novels.

This book was entertaining, and overall, it held my attention. But, I definitely found it lacking compared to the first (and second) book in the series, and that was really disappointing to me. London was the book I was most looking forward to out of the friend group!

What I did like, though, I really liked. I was invested in the characters, and I thought the relationship was written really authentically. I also can't help but love the second chance with your high school crush trope because come on, who DOESN'T dream of impressing their high school crush as an adult? If you say you don't, you're lying! :)

But, I just found London's character development off-putting in this story. She was so aggressively anti-love, and I just got tired of her constantly pushing her man away. I was looking forward to reading a story about a successful, complicated, identifiable woman, and instead, her character was just off-putting. So many books lean too heavily into the angry woman/anti-love woman trope, and I just think this story took her character a step too far. I don't mind an angry character, but I felt like she crossed the line into mean too many times...and that her extremely unlikeable to me by the end of the story.

While I'm glad I read this to finish out the series, it wasn't a favorite of mine, and it left me wanting a lot more than it gave me.
