his was the best book of the trilogy, Farrah did with London's story. London has been hating Drew Sullivan ever since he moved to town and stole her thunder making them both co-valedictorians. Everything Drew does stops her from getting the attention from her dads, as Best Students with all As and all other HS groups/teams. Fast forward 20 years later and Drew famous 100 millionaire with the HS Reunion Committee shows up and is always seeking London's attention. He has been loving London ever since he and his mom moved to Austin before he left for college. Turns out that London used Drew for a hook-up to find out she will be working with him for several weeks. London realizes that she misjudged Drew as she fights to keep the hospital she works as from being sold and getting her ideas as pediatric surgeon realized for her patients. Drew whose company assess the financial viability of the county hospital London works at to figure out if they have the funds to not be sold. Great story.

This has been an awesome series. Hate to see it come to an end. Do these three ladies have other friends looking for love? This is a Rom Com that you will not want miss. But first read books 1 and 2. These three ladies London, Taylor and Samiah meet when they all found out that they have something in common. That just happens to be the guy that is dating all three of at the same time.

London is a resident pediatric surgeon and the hospital is having monetary problems and is on the verge of being sold. Drew is an old high school friend of London and is in town their class reunion. London and Drew have a one-night-stand with London thinking she’ll never see him again. But there is this thing with the two of them working together to save the hospital when London sees Drew again. Drew wants more but London is reluctant. Since Samiah and Taylor have found their happily ever after they want London get her HEA and suggest she get cracking. After all Drew is not so bad of a person in my opinion.

It was such a treat to get caught up on Samiah, Taylor and London, these ladies are hilarious. The Hookup Plan along with books 1 and 2 will keep you in stitches. These book covers are awesome by far “The Hookup Plan” is the best.

If you’re looking for some entertaining fun and a great read this is the book to read and don’t forget to pick up books 1 and 2 to get you started.

I received an ARC via Netgalley and Forever Grand Central Publishing and I am leaving my review voluntarily. Thank you for the ARC.

This is definitely my type of enemies to lovers and I can SO relate because I had so many competitive relationships in high school - one in particular that has turned into a beautiful friendship now that we've had a LOT of space from that realm and from many of the people who were there alongside us. That said, this is a bit different because London and Drew aren't just poised to be friends, they're poised to be lovers. The two hit it off after a run-in at their 15y high school reunion when Drew just "Happened" to be in town and "whoops" it turns out he's on the audit team of the hospital where London is a first class resident on the brink of a star studded fellowship.

I really identified with London as a "I can do it all" kind of woman who doesn't always easily listen to those who tell her to slow down. Spending time with Drew is, at first, added to the checklist just like everything else she tries to accomplish in a day but slowly and surely becomes a lot more. She finds it increasingly hard to drag herself away from Drew and, since Rochon graces us with the male POV we know that Drew is head over heels and trying not to scare London away by coming on too strong.

Overall this is a bit of an odd mix of spicy and sweet because there's no holds barred for describing the sex (and there's a fair bit of it) - often off-page - but there's a lot of attention to the strong female friendships, the medical and financial storylines (intertwined of course!) and Drew and London's budding relationship.

4/5 I recommend!

The Hookup Plan was just what I needed to get out of my reading funk. Farrah Rochon gives us everything we need with this enemies to lovers romance.

The Boyfriend Project series comes full circle with the conclusion of London, the ambitious pediatrics surgeon, taking steps to destress with the help of her high school nemesis, Drew.
London is stubborn and ambitious and those strong attributes sometimes stand in her way of taking care of her own welfare. Drew recognizes himself in London and realizes she’s headed for the broken down he just overcame and makes it his mission to help her relax and go from nemesis to lovers and friends to something so much more.

London and Drew compliment each other well as they are both ambitious and extremely caring towards their loved ones. My favorite part of this series is the friendship the ladies formed with each other after meeting and it just proves that when the right people come into your life you just know whether platonic or romantically.

I still need to go back and read the first book, The Boyfriend Project, seeing as I read them out of order but each book has enough background information on each of the friends so you aren’t totally out of the loop. My favorite couple is still Taylor and Jamar cause their chemistry and connection was the best.

The Hookup Plan was a novel that once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down until the satisfying end.

London is a noteworthy, charismatic pediatric surgeon at a local hospital that has fallen under financial issues. Of course, the company the hospital brings in to audit is run by no other than high school enemy number one: Drew. The same Drew that London had amazingly hot sex with just the night before after their class reunion. London is furious and refuses to believe that Drew's company wants to help save her hospital. But she needs something to destress her and Drew is the perfect candidate. Thus, the Hookup plan is hatched.

The Hookup Plan has spice, sass and swoon as the third in the series. However; this book can easily be read as a standalone. The reader can easily see the love and care that Rochon brought to her writing talking about London's love of pediatric surgery and cancer patients. This enemies to lovers story has spice at the beginning that just makes the story continue on a wildfire of passion and fun. This is truly a girl power novel that I would recommend to anyone that enjoys reading romantic comedies.

I really wanted to like this book more, but I found the heroine, London Kelley, so very irritating. She has a grudge against the hero, Drew Sullivan, for no really good reason stemming from her competition against him to be high school valedictorian. She’s honest enough at times to admit to herself that she just unfairly projected her resentments and insecurities from her awful father onto Drew. But he’s sexy and she has had a dry spell between the sheets so she decides to sleep with him and then do it again and again and again. He clearly likes her and has liked her ever since he met her in 11th grade. So he goes along with her hookup plan with the hope that she’ll come to feel more.

Add in a plot about the city hospital in Austin where she works and which Drew’s consulting business is auditing to see if it should be sold or kept as a public hospital. London is some sort of superstar as a resident doctor for pediatric surgery and has every doctor who meets her falling at her feet except the obnoxious, misogynist chief at her hospital. I got tired of hearing how wonderful she is. There was a lot of telling us these sorts of characteristics in the novel.

And lots of sex and women talking about sex. Just warning you in case that’s not your thing.

She was just so unfair in how she treated Drew when he was lovely in all the ways one wishes a guy to be. Kind, caring, idealistic, hunky, and, as an added plus, filthy rich as a self-made multi-millionaire.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

This is my first book by Farrah Rochon and it definitely won’t be my last! When I picked this one up I didn’t realize that it was the third book in a series, but at no point did I feel like I was missing anything.

I loved this steamy, enemies to lovers, workplace romance between London, a pediatric surgeon at a community hospital, and Drew, the man auditing the hospital’s finances. Drew and London were in constant competition in high school. Their hookup after their ten year reunion was supposed to be a one time thing, but it turned into a lot more when London asked Drew to be her friend-with-benefits to help her relieve some of the stress from her hectic life. Drew happily agrees, but fails to mention that he might be the one causing a lot of her stress in the near future.

This was so good! I loved the snarky banter between London and Drew. Both characters have big hearts and the interactions they had with everyone else in the story really highlighted that fact. I loved the representation for women in STEM and female friendships among women of color.

Drew is such a dream…who wouldn’t want a sexy millionaire with a heart of gold who is obviously smitten hanging around? And I loved London’s strong personality and no nonsense attitude. She’s a force to be reckoned with and I loved how often she spoke her mind.

The chemistry between Drew and London was perfection and I really enjoyed getting to know their characters and watching them finally get their HEA. This was a quick, light read that’s perfect to throw in your beach bag this summer. Thank you so much to NetGalley and Forever for the chance to read and review this one early. The Hookup Plan is available on 8/2.

This was a fantastic ending to a terrific trilogy and SO worth the wait! While the enemies-to-lovers trope isn't my thing, I was absolutely here for the entire story. London's backstory was realistic and it could resonate with *anyone* dealing with a toxic parent. I was impressed with how Rochon addressed the subplot with London's father and I adored its resolution. I was so proud of London - I think she's my fav of the friend group. Now the good stuff: yes, just like the earlier two books, this novel packs several steamy bedroom scenes. Best of all, London's romance with Drew was the stuff of dreams. They were perfect for each other and I was rooting for them the entire time. I've already pre-ordered a copy The Hookup Plan from my indie bookstore so the trilogy will be complete on my bookshelf. #TheHookupPlan Rating: 😊 / really liked it

This book is scheduled for publication on August 2, 2022. Thank you @readforeverpub for providing me this digital ARC via @NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The Hookup Plan

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Farrah Rochon continues on with the third romcom in the series here and I like that we’re familiar with the nearby characters.

I didn’t love this one, everyone felt a little flat and predictable. I also thought it was longer than it should have been, there was a lot of filter stuff.

Overall a lighthearted book if you’re looking for something to drift through!

Sigh. I do enjoy a good rivals to lovers (especially when it's really just one sided) and this had it but, it fell flat. This book had great characters, plot, and great discussions but, it dragged in the middle. It took me a week to finish this and I wished it didn't.
Trigger Warnings: loss of a parent from cancer, absent parent, mention of domestic abuse (not about h or H), and gaslighting

3 stars

The third book in The Boyfriend Project series, The Hookup Plan features pediatric surgeon London and former hedge fund manager Drew who begin a enemies with benefits relationship after connecting at their 10 year high school reunion. Despite saying that they will never develop feelings, it quickly becomes clear that this relationship has the potential to be something more.

While I think that the concept of this book sounded fantastic, the execution did not completely win me over. Rochon includes a LOT of subplots to really pad the lives of the leading couple and unfortunately, I felt like they really slowed the pacing down and took away from actually building the relationship. There were a lot of scenes that are referenced on page that feel like they should have actually been expounded upon in the book to really focus the story between these two characters. Where I noticed this particularly was in the sexual relationship between them; considering that this book throws the characters together via a sex pact, most of the scenes are fade to black or just discussed after the fact as being unbelievable and life-changing. When we actually get sex scenes, it is fairly vanilla and definitely do more telling than showing in my opinion.

The best part of this book is honestly the interactions with London's best friends Samiah and Taylor, who are the heroines of the first two books in the series. Every week, they have a girls' night and the banter is absolutely delightful! In addition, the descriptions of food made me want to travel to Austin and get into the food scene there.

I ultimately liked The Hookup Plan, but it's definitely a book that did not give me all of the swoony feels that I want from a romance novel.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review!

I beyond adore Samiah, Taylor and London and was so excited to finally get to London's book. Needless to say it absolutely didn't disappoint! From the adorable meet cute with Drew to the end of the book you can't help but root for London to realize how amazing she is without needing anyond else to validate it and letting herself do what her heart wants. I love the supportive friendship these 3 have formed thanks to one awful dude definitely messing with the wrong women and seeing all 3 of them realize their worth and dreams and finding great guys in the process had me squealing and swooning and laughing so many times. Thank you Farrah for a fantastic series!!

Thank you NetGalley and Farrah Rochon for the eARC! I absolutely adored falling in love with these characters! I loved the flirty banter between London and Drew and their story. I don’t want to give too much away so I’ll edit after release with some of my favorite parts! Thanks again! Solid beach read!

London thought she was going to have a one night and be done encounter with Drew, her high school academic rival but no.....She's a resident in pediatric surgery and the hospital where she works is on the block. Turns out, Drew is in town not only for the reunion but because he's part of a hedge fund and he's going to decide what happens. These enemies to lovers find out they can be friends as well, much to their surprise and the surprise of her friends (love her friends). Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. It's light,. there's a bit of steam, and you'll root for everyone.

The Hookup Plan was the very first Farrah Rochon novel I’ve ever read. You may be wondering why I didn’t start with The Boyfriend Project book one and read them in order. well… I read the synopsis of The Hookup Plan, and I couldn’t wait to read it.

short summary:

London is a pediatric surgeon in her final year of residency and is under a lot of stress, especially with rumors that the hospital might be up for sale and turned private because of money issues. Her friends suggest that she start hooking up with someone to relieve her stress, but she doesn’t want to hookup with anyone that works at the hospital.

London runs into her high school rival, Drew, for the first time in 15 years at their school reunion, and we follow their journey from there. Their banter was instantaneous, and they find themselves in a no strings attached hookup plan that neither of them saw coming. But London is surprised to know Drew was in town on business at the hospital where she worked. She had to work with him to help save the hospital. Will she be able to work with him and keep their hookup plan?

thoughts:

It took me some time to like London. But, the more I got to know London, the more I understood her and really started to like and respect her for standing up for what she believed no matter what—seeing her fight for the hospital to remain open to the public and stand up for all the nurses warmed my heart! She is a strong FMC, and there was a lot of character development, and I loved seeing her growth throughout the novel. I also loved seeing her interactions with her friends; they were entertaining to read!

I REALLY liked Drew! He was sweet and patient, and how he treated London had me swooning. I didn’t find anything about Drew that I disliked! I loved that he’s RICH but also generous, especially with the people he loves. AND HE FALLS FIRST!!

I really like how this novel started and the setting of the reunion! However, the further I got into it, the slower I found it to be. I took a few breaks between reading, but I found that it picked up, and I adored the ending!

There wasn’t as much romance as I wanted there to be. It was more plot-driven and had a couple of hookups (some spice). I just wanted to see more romance and moments between them outside the hospital. London also reminded Drew that they weren’t friends like every other page, and I wasn’t a fan of that, and she was constantly bringing up their high school rivalry 15 years later and couldn’t let it go for the longest time. But, instead of miscommunication, they talk and work out everything, which is something I really appreciate about this novel!

Overall, The Hookup Plan was good! If you like books with Ex-rivals (enemies)-to-lovers, forced proximity, great banter (and he falls first!!), this is the novel for you! Although this is part of The Boyfriend Project series, it can be read as a standalone!

3.5 stars (rounded up)! -> i liked it

TW: cancer, death of a parent, neglect by a parent, emotional abuse and gaslighting by a parent, sexism (at the place of work).

This had some cute, charming, and/or funny moments with some real issues folded in. But honestly, I just felt very bored while reading it. It is a romcom series similar to Helen Hoang’s and Jasmine Guillory’s works, where it can work as a standalone but it features connected characters. I think I would’ve been better off reading the first two in the series because, aside from getting that there was a John Tucker-ish moment in the first book, I was just missing too much history and background to actually care about London and her friends. I really liked Drew though so getting to see his POV helped my enjoyment.

Worth checking out if you like a romance series but definitely start with the first book. Tropes include workplace romance, academic rivals to lovers, friends with benefits, instalove/he fell first.

Like Farrah Rochon’s other books, I really enjoyed the content and tone of The Hookup Plan. It had the depth of characters and their struggles that made them seem realistic, and they also had lots of lighthearted, fun moments that made the whole book extremely well-composed. London was a powerhouse and I was satisfied with her story after getting to know her during the first two books; I did want to have a bit more background information on Drew as I felt we didn’t get enough about him during the story, but I really enjoyed their chemistry together and how they both progressed. Once again, I had a good time with Rochon’s book and look forward to her next!

If you have read the first two books in this series and are ready for more of London then you will love this. London is probably my favorite main character of the series so it was nice to finally get her backstory. While I did end up enjoying them as a couple in the end I strongly disliked Drew for the majority of the book because he was always trying to rile her up in a "I'm mean to you because I like you" way which is weird.
The ending was great, it felt like they came full circle and I'm interested to see what she writes next
