I absolutely LOVE Farrah Rochon and just couldn't get into this book. It's a miss for me, but I'll definitely check out future books of hers.

All of these books have been nothing but delightful. This was such a satisfying conclusion. I am so thrilled to see them all end up happy.

London os a pediatric surgeon with ambition and a lot of stress. At her high school reunion, she decides to hook up with her long time enemy Drew. Drew is also in town for business, so they continue to meet for a no-strings arrangement. Can they keep it that way?
I was expecting a typical enemies to lovers read, but this was definitely not. This book tackled a lot of issues. London carried a lot of issues with her dad and that those were woven in throughout the book. It actually played a major part, but no spoilers here! Drew had his own family history. London dealt with health issues and conflicts at work. This was not just a cotton candy romance book. It had meat and grit.
Thanks to NetGalley and Forever for this advanced copy! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was the perfect final book to the boyfriend project trilogy.
I really enjoyed getting to know London more - as a doctor, a friend, and big sister.
I liked the way her relationship with Drew unfolded from being just physical to somewhat reluctant friends to more. They had a somewhat second chance mixed with enemies to lovers thing going on.
I also loved that this story didn’t revolve around drama surrounding London and Drew. They were adults and were able to address things. I liked that the biggest challenge for London was professional in terms of figuring out where to go for her next step in her medical journey.
Of course I enjoyed all the scenes that featured London with the girls, Samira and Taylor. It was lovely to see their continued support of each other.
A really enjoyable read.

no offense but i dnf'ed this at 30% percent after the SECOND fade to black. academic rivals to enemies with benefits doesnt work (for me) without smut so honestly you might love this book but i get so bored im sorry im so shallow

This was a fun conclusion to The Boyfriend Project series! Enemies-to-lovers, past classmates, and an undisclosed work acquaintance are just a few of the details that make this a fun one!

I have loved The Boyfriend Project series so I was excited to round out the trio with London's story. London is a pediatric surgeon under a lot of stress at her hospital when she runs into her high school rival at their 15 year reunion. What starts as one night of burning off some steam turns into something more...
I really enjoyed London and Drew as characters and appreciated that they had a past, even if they were enemies, as it felt like their connection wasn't so instantaneous. They each face their own emotional and familial struggles but I loved that they openly communicated (for the most part) throughout. I do wish we got a bit more tension between the pair as their romantic journey felt fairly easy.
Overall it was an enjoyable wrap to the series. I loved seeing London, Samiah and Taylor's friendship woven throughout and watching them each get their happy ending. Farrah Rochon has solidified herself as an auto-read author for me and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
Thanks Forever for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

ARC REVIEW FOR THE HOOKUP PLAN
4.5 stars
Thank you to netgalley, Forever Publishing and Farrah Rochon for the ARC!
The final installment of the Boyfriend Project follows the third member of our favorite viral trio, London! And let me tell you, this book did NOT disappoint!
This entire series is fantastic. I love the characters and their journeys. The friendship that Samiah, Taylor and London built is, honestly, inspirational because it goes to show that you're never too old to meet new people and make new friends. I love how each of the novels focused on a different romance trope; this story was an enemies to lovers-esque, but mostly enemies with benefits (is that a thing?) The benefit of this trope was...we didn't have to wait long for the smut to hit!! :)
I felt the connection between London and Drew was the strongest of the three stories. I think their background helped with that- they had history where the other two couples didn't know each other prior to meeting. I also liked how Farrah handled some of the conversations and confrontations with London's family members; it was a good reminder that not all stories have a happy ending, and that sometimes you really have to cut the toxicity out of your life, even if they are blood relatives. I also loved how the author used the epilogue as a way to wrap up everything- it was a beautiful ending to a fun trilogy.
If you've read her first two stories in this series, or are looking for a reason to read them, look no further. You have six weeks to read the first two because The Hookup Plan hits shelves 8/2. So go pre-order it from your favorite, local, INDEPENDENT bookstore today!

Such a delightful read! It's funny, sexy, relatable, and filled with delicious banter. I loved that both MCs were strong characters. Watching them go from former high school rivals to "enemies" with benefits to lovers was just so fun. I haven't read the other books in the series but that didn't take away from me enjoying this book. I will definitely be adding the other 2 books in the series to my TBR.

Another enjoyable novel in the Boyfriend Project trilogy. I enjoyed London and Drew’s banter and that they both had fleshed out lives outside of each other. This felt a bit long at times, and I think I like Taylor’s story best, but this was a solid romance and well written.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a really cute enemies-to-lovers rom com. It was well written, the romance was adorable, and the characters seemed well suited for one another. My only critique is that parts felt a bit repetitive as the book went along. I haven’t read the other books in the Boyfriend Project series so I can’t speak to how this one compares, but overall I enjoyed reading it.

The Hookup Plan is London’s book and it is excellent. London meets her high school nemesis at their 15 year reunion and they have a two night stand. Already the chemistry between the two is scorching.
London thinks they will never see each other again but Drew has been hired to evaluate the hospital where she is a pediatric surgeon and to see if it should be sold or not.
I could spend this whole review talking about how well paced the romance was or how, once again, Ms. Rochon demonstrates the importance of female friendship or even how nuanced the interior monologues were but I want to concentrate on something else.
This novel deftly explores what relationships are worth taking a chance on (London’s relationships with Samiah, Taylor and Drew were all leaps of faith for her.) versus the toxic relationships you need to walk away from (London’s relationship with her father.).
The most moving scenes for me, and they provided a nice contrast, were London telling Drew that she and Drew were going steady. A scene were she admits, essentially, that she trusts him. This is contrasted with the scene where she tells her father off and walks away, literally turning her back on him.
I highly recommend this nuanced, emotional and romantic read.

I loved the first two books in this trilogy, so I was really looking forward to this final installment. While London and Drew are interesting characters, the story really didn't live up to expectations. It was nice, and the steamy scenes were HOT, but I felt like the central conflict wasn't all that conflicting, and it seemed to me there were a few side plots left hanging.
If you are someone who needs to read all books in a series, you may still enjoy this one but I would not recommend as a stand-alone.

When high school rivals, London and Drew, meet up 15 years after graduation, the tension that they experienced back then is still palpable. London decides to act on it as a one night stand in order to de-stress. Unbeknownst to London, it turns out Drew is part of the team that will decide if her beloved hospital stays open. Though they both go into this "no friends, just benefits" situation, catching feelings is not part of the plan.
I haven't read anything by this author before, though I know the two books before this are about London's friends. I don't think you need to read them in order, though I can see how they would build on each other. I was pleasantly surprised by this book and really enjoyed it!
There were some inaccuracies with London's job as a pediatric surgeon, but not anything that the normal population would notice. There were perhaps a few strange jumps in time as ell but they weren't too distracting.
Also I LOVED that there was not a third act breakup!! There is something that happens towards the end that could have initiated a breakup, but instead Drew immediately tells London what happened and they discuss it and both are mature about the situation. I also like that her asshole dad was not redeemed at the end, because sometimes people just stay assholes.
Thank you to Netgalley and Forever for the eARC in exchange for a review.

This novel was such a great conclusion to the series and it gave me all the feels! I love the friendship aspect that is at the center of these novels and Rochon does such an amazing job with characterization and the dialogue is so realistic and relevant. I loved the romance in this one, London and Drew were so cute and their banter was amazing! Good mix of open and closed door romance moments in this one too! I think the topics of parental emotional abuse, sexism, racism, and loss of a loved one were really well done in this novel. I think London’s emotional development was really great and she is such a strong woman character. I really enjoyed this one!!

THE HOOKUP PLAN is a classic enemies to lovers romance trope that incorporates more than just the characters love interest, or lack thereof. When London runs into her high school arch-nemesis Drew at their high school reunion, she is less than enthused to engage in any conversation with the person that almost took away her Valedictorian spot at graduation.
But when a casual one night stand turns into Drew conducting consulting work at the hospital London works at, their agreement of just “hooking up” becomes a lot more complicated.
Throughout the novel, both Drew and London work through their own family drama and life goals, as well as their budding feelings for each other.
THE HOOKUP PLAN is the 3rd book of The Boyfriend Project series, but I was happy to find out that not having read the previous two would impact THP! Rochon’s writing style is different from the romance novels I’ve read recently (i.e. slow burn, less spice, and more whole character development outside of the romance), and it was a really great change of pace!

The Hookup Plan is the third book in the Boyfriend Project series by Farrah Rochon. The books are more companion novels, so you don't have to read the previous two to read this one, but the other two are entertaining and fun as well, so I highly recommend them!
We got to know the FMC, London Kelley, in the first two books as the no-nonsense friend who hasn't had time for love or relationships. Getting to know her more in depth and learn about her was great. She is a strong woman who stands up for herself and others. I loved how she goes for what she wants and stands to her convictions.
Drew is the MMC in this book and a perfect romantic partner for London. I loved that he pursued her the entire book, and held the feelings he had from high school for her still. I was also humbled by Drew's story of grief on the loss of his mother, and his motivations for the work he does.
This is a enemies to lovers romance, but it didn't focus on a miscommunication trope, which gave it a head start on typical enemies to lovers. I loved how the interactions started from an initial hook-up, to a friends with benefits, to having feelings it really made things believable.
I also really loved London, Taylor and Samiah's friendship. These girlfriends are the types of friends you need. The ending epilogue, and throughout this book we were given a perfect ending to everyone's stories.
I have enjoyed all the books by Farrah Rochon that I have read. She writes realistic, enjoyable characters with real life stories. I highly recommend this book to people who enjoy those things. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever publishing for a copy of this book. All opinions are 100% mine.

This was a steamy, enemies to lovers workplace romance between London, a stressed out Doctor suffering from hypertension and Drew, the man hired to audit the finances of her hospital. Reunited at their high school reunion, London and Drew have a hot weekend affair only for London to be blindsided when she realizes she has to work with Drew for the next month.
I loved how smart and big hearted these characters were! Drew wants to make London happy, readily volunteering to be her sexual stress reliever, while London is passionate about getting a sensory room that could help improve the experiences of children on the spectrum who have to stay at the hospital.
Full of great female friendship, women of color in STEM and childfree by choice rep. I so enjoyed how strong and independent London was and how she took charge of her life, despite the toxic relationship she has with her father.
Recommended for fans of other romances featuring women doctors like On rotation, First love, take two, Part of your world or The exception by Lauren H. Mae. Much thanks to NetGalley and Forever for my advance review copies. This was a satisfying end to the author's Boyfriend Project series with lots of cameos from Samiah and Taylor.

First and foremost this series is about the absolute importance of female friendships and then secondly Romance! The Hookup Plan is the third book in The Boyfriend Project series and it is just as fantastic as the other two. I love a rivals to lovers trope especially one that makes me laugh out loud. What’s interesting was how little conflict these two had in their story. I almost always find myself complaining about the conflict or misunderstanding that keeps the main characters apart but it was kind of the opposite in this book. Overall I really enjoyed this book and the entire series.
Thank you #Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

An enjoyable conclusion to the boyfriend project series!! The Hookup Plan is an opposites attract enemies to lovers romcom that can very well be read as a standalone, but I promise it’ll be more fun to read it as part of the series. The readers gets to know more about the leading character’s friendship and its sweet and touchy overall!
Thank you Forever via Netgalley for the reader’s copy, all opinions are my own.
