I was lucky enough to be granted an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I’ve read both The Boyfriend Project, and The Dating Playbook. I was very excited to read London’s story. These boss bitches are inspirational, and their friendship is the core of the whole story.
The novel uses real life situations, and does so in a believable way.
I really enjoy the enemies to lovers trope, and was not disappointed at the pairs troubled beginning.
Highly recommend!

In hindsight, I should have known not to read this. By now I think it’s a “it’s me, not you,” type of situation with this author. I’m giving this three stars because I’m sure people out there will love these books and this author! I’m just not one of them.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for an e-galley of The Hookup Plan.
This is the third book in a series - however (like all good romcoms) you do not have to read the first two books to enjoy London and Drew's story.
We all love an enemies to lovers arc. At the high school reunion, London runs into the man who ruined her senior year and is the focus of the grudge she has been holding since. Drew is back in town to work with a local hospital...and to discover that his crush on London has not gone anywhere.
Drew and London decide that a friends with benefits (minus the friends part according to London) can't hurt with Drew having a definitive return date. But we know how the tables can turn.

I was surprised by this book since I wasn’t a huge fan of the first book, so I didn’t read the second book due to my overwhelming TBR.
I gave this book a chance, and I’m so glad I did! The story was well developed and the characters were likable with a realistic conflict.
I’ll be adding this author back into my rotation!
Thank you to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for providing me with an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon is my favorite book in the The Boyfriend Project series. Pediatric surgeon London sees her high school enemy/competition Drew at their high school reunion and sparks fly. I enjoyed the fact that both main characters are successful in their careers and both fully supported each other instead of being jealous/resentful of the other. Both London and Drew had deep back stories with issues they were still working through. I highly recommend everyone pick up this book to read!

The Hookup Plan was my favorite book in The Boyfriend Project series! The chemistry and attraction between London and Drew was instant and their back and forth dialogue adorable. I loved that London is a strong, influential doctor who does not diminish her strengths in the face of a threatened male ego. For his part, Drew loves that about her and supports and celebrates it. Both characters work through challenges related to their families and the past, and they are all the better for it. This is the perfect way to spend a summer day!

This was a sweet and spicy second chance romance. Unfortunately, I just couldn’t get into it. He was soooo into her, I couldn’t buy that she didn’t buy it. It was overall still a cute read and the MC is a complete badass with a strong moral compass which I really enjoyed.

I am in LOVE with this book! It is a really fresh take on the enemies to lovers trope that features two smart, successful, and GORGEOUS main characters. If you’ve read the first two books in this series, you know a little bit about our female MC London. She’s a pediatric surgeon who is dedicated to her work over everything else. Our male MC Drew is a blast from London’s high school past who turns out to be JUST what the doctor ordered. Like the first two books in The Boyfriend Project series, The Hookup Plan is a rom com with laughs, plenty of heart, and some heat.
10/10 I definitely recommend

Thank you to @netgalley, @readforeverpub and @farrahrochon for a copy of this eARC in exchange for my honest review.
Okay. I loved this book. In fact, I’ve loved all of the books in this series. If you’re looking for books that represent strong females and strong female relationships, these are for you!
London Kelley is overworked at her job as a pediatric surgeon. And most definitely under appreciated by some. Her mentor has told her more than once that it’s time for her to find a way to decompress. So when she runs into her high school nemesis and now millionaire, Drew Sullivan, she surprises even herself that a hook up with him is just what she needed. Unfortunately, he’s the one that winds up holding the key to whether or not her hospital is to remain open. Can they work together to save it?More importantly, can she keep her feelings out of their physical relationship?
This one gets 4⭐️‘s from me!

Excellent enemies-to-lover trope, with a good deal of growth from both protagonists. I liked both of their moral codes and the strength to live up to that and the growth of self-awareness.

I read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Wow... what a powerful novel. I loved every bit of it. It was insightful, emotional, and of course, had great banter between the characters. I was wondering from book 1, how London was going to find the time to meet someone, and Rochon worked it all in perfectly.
London's Dad was a real piece of work, but also sadly believable! Men can be like this towards their daughters, even unconsciously. I liked the family dynamic she had around her though.
The writing was easy to read and well paced. A lovely conclusion for the trio.

👍🏼👍🏼 another FANTASTIC Texas romance 🤠
If you missed my first two reviews for The Boyfriend Project series go read them! I LOVE this series!! It is full of
✅ strong women
✅ smart, career-oriented women
✅ HOT love interests
✅ fun Texas scenery
The Hookup Plan is the third book in the series and it is London Kelley’s turn to find love. That is, Doctor London Kelley, a super talented pediatric surgeon who can’t seem to find the time for anything beyond her work, Friday nights with her BFFs, and planning her high school class reunion.
London didn’t have to plan the entire reunion by herself, but let’s be honest - she couldn’t trust anyone else to get the job done just the way she envisioned. In the middle of working on the perfect event her high school nemesis shows up. He most certainly did not RSVP and London cannot believe that he actually showed up. After making millions at a hedge fund, their high school reunion was the last place she expected to see Drew Sullivan.
Turns out London saw Drew Sullivan in more than one way that night 😉😏🥵
What’s a harmless hookup to blow off some steam?
London is s t r e s s e d o u t, but she loves her job working at the local county hospital. Even though with her impressive resume she could have taken a position at nearly any hospital in the country, she feels that it is important to care and advocate for her local community that would be without nearby affordable healthcare without the nonprofit system in place.
Unfortunately, there is a grumpy old doctor who sits on the Board at the hospital and he and the rest of the group seem pretty set on selling the hospital to a private investor.
And Drew, oh hot wonderful Drew, seems to be mixed up in it all.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book early. I have read other books by the author and I enjoy her writing style.
London and Drew were high school rivals as each was trying to be class valedictorian. London wins that honor and eventually becomes a pediatric surgeon. She reunites with Drew at the class reunion. What starts out as “friends with benefits” (minus the friends part initially) turns into having to work together professionally and for them to discover they might have misunderstood each other all of those years prior.
London is a strong female character and the relationship (and friendship) that develops between she and Drew makes for a fun read. It’s definitely not necessary to have read the prior books to enjoy this one.

The Hookup Plan was a good rivals to lovers story, but I didn’t get really get the hype of it. London and Drew’s story seemed very rushed (at least what we saw of it). While there was some great character development and it was nice to see how their relationship changed over the course of the book, I think it would have been really helpful to know more about their time together before the story started. The ‘rivals’ bit of the story took place essentially entirely before the book started, so I would have loved to get to see more of that. Overall, a pretty good read!

The third in the series, it’s a bummer that I didn’t get to read the first two books. I didn’t feel some sort of attachment to their character. But I really love the banter between London and Drew! Thankyou Forever and netgalley for providing me an e-Arc!

I am not a big romance fan but when one reader described this as hilarious, I thought this romance just might be a fun read.
Hmmm ~ unfortunately it wasn’t all that humorous or enjoyable to me. I know many other readers will love it.
(I just finished a book I gave 5 stars ~ so any book was going to have a hard time measure up after that)

I loved this one! London has been the straight-shooting, serious, hardass the entire series and I knew her story was going to be great. I was not disappointed. This rivals-to-lovers could not have been more perfect.
I’m not sure what it is about the enemies-to-lovers dynamic where one party was already half in love while the rivalry was perpetuated by the other party trope that pulls me in but this is the third one I’ve read this year and I adore it more every time I find it. The insistence that everything is just physical and there are no feelings when clearly there are all the feelings never ceases to bring me joy.
In the previous two books in the series, London has always seemed to be the one who had it most together. She was the no-nonsese, tough-love, overachiever so it was pretty great seeing behind the mask to the bit of a hot mess beneath. While all of that is still absolutely true, seeing London on the edge of burnout and vulnerable made her a more interesting person. Pairing her with her high-school rival was pure genius.
While “we’re just doing this to get it out of our system” hook-up with a deadline trope isn’t in my top five it’s always a fun one. While London denies all serious connection and writes it off as physical attraction, Drew is reveling in the chance to get to know his high school rival/crush better. Drew’s determination to make something more of this is super swoony. He fights for her wants, ignores her protests to give her the things she actually needs while still managing not to be an overbearing know-it-all.
I love the fighting, the banter, the sweet moments and most of all I love the friendship that makes up the very core of this series. While I was a little meh on the secondary plot line involving London’s little sister and unprepared for the emotion of Drew’s late mother I really could not have wished for a better ending for this series. I can’t wait to see what Farrah Rochon comes up with next.

I love London and Drew! This is the third book in the series, but works as a standalone. This is a mix of secret pining + rivals to lovers tropes. London is one of three women who went viral when they discovered they were all dating the same man. As a pediatric surgeon resident, London has a lot on her plate and some control issues. Including the high school reunion she helped plan. There she reconnects with her high school rival, Drew. Little did she know Drew was infatuated with her back in high school. She also doesn't know the real reason Drew is back in town. They concoct a hookup plan and sexy times ensue. Drew wants more and London slowly falls for him as she lets him get closer and lets go of some control.
I could not put this down. It's charming and funny and sexy and gives all the feels. London is such a great mixture of heart and warmth while needing to keep total control. Her own introspection on why she wants control, the issues with her father, how that transferred to her rivalry with Drew, all of it is so real and well done. The moments with her patients are excellent. I loved seeing her figure out how to be there for her younger siblings as well as the thought process into where her career is going. I really appreciated being able to see that push pull of the decision making.
Drew is a charmer. His warmth and honesty was so refreshing. There weren't big secrets and big reveals. He too has family he's close to and I loved seeing his heart through his relationship with his uncle and his grief over his mother. Having him be rich was a nod to having someone do caring things with their money, instead of just buying big boats and fast cars, while acknowledging that money still made his life easier (no grocery shopping for him!).
There is no real black moment in this book, which I also enjoyed. I know it's a romance staple but often feels manufactured and unnecessary. Here, the darkest moment at the end wasn't really that dark. In fact, Drew was afraid it was a dark moment and London was there to say hey no, it's not, it's ok, I just needed a minute. And that feels absolutely real.
That's not to say there wasn't conflict in the story. Each character has their own internal conflict to resolve. London also has the issues with her father that she handles. There is the conflict with the hospital, which was strangely not really resolved and I wish it had been. There was the pain in the neck misogynist doctor that London had to deal with. There was the business competitor Drew was against but that conflict also didn't really go anywhere. Ultimately the romance stayed front and center. Except for the conflict with London's father, the other external conflicts were more like the world happening around them than a big reveal that has to be resolved-type conflict.
Sexy times are on the page, this is a hookup plan after all. The other women from the series are present and continue to serve as the friends and support that the three of them have been throughout the series. I really enjoyed the entire series. This one is a keeper!
CW: misogyny, sexism, loss of parent (off page), cancer, grief, toxic overbearing parent

Loved it! In the times we're in who doesn't want to five into a steamy enemies to lovers - workplace romance book? I just love Farrah Rochon and know everyone is going to go crazy for this upcoming release! Well done, it's everything I'm looking for in romance. Thanks so much for a chance to read this book.

This is one of the best rom-coms I have read this year! It was so much fun and I couldn't put it down. I devoured this book in a way that usually doesn't happen for me with rom-coms. I absolutely loved both London and Drew. I also loved the unique take on this story of enemies to lovers, but only for one of them. As a child overachiever, I could see a lot of myself in London. I also loved this writing style. It was a duel POV, and I absolutely adored how it would go back and forth at the perfect moments of London thinking they were these enemies and rivals, to Drew talking about how obsessed with London he is. Adorable, hilarious, heart wrenching at times, and made me just grin from ear to ear. This book was everything I want in a rom-com.
