This book was so good! I gave it a 5 star review. The author did phenomenol with this book. I read it very quickly. London was such a strong independent woman and I loved that about her. Of course I love an enemies to lover trope the best so this was right up my alley. Drew was a character that i just loved from the minute he was introduced. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed reading this book. Initially, I wasn't too sure about our heroine, London, because of how she was treating Drew. But once London's backstory come out and I was able to get a glimpse of what was causing her to act that way. Although, I think it was still unwarranted and to an extent, she needed to address those issues a lot sooner. Lol!

I love stories that show Black people living their best lives! It is always great to read stories that are not filled with social justice issues and allow Black people to be... well... people. Overall, such a great story. I loved being able to swoon over London and Drew.

3.5 stars

Enemies to lovers, sort of coworkers to lovers.

Drew is a dream and London is a prize. Took a while for her to admit it, but they’re good together.

If reading for the first time, count how many times someone tips or snaps back their head to look at the ceiling or sky or in shock, contemplative or in laughter. It’s a comically high number that I wish I would’ve counted for.

Read this ARC from NetGalley - loved this third book of the series about women who went viral after publicly finding out their boyfriend was dating all 3 of them at once. London, a pediatric surgeon, is an awesome character - as a former Peds nurse myself, I appreciated her respect and advocacy for nurses at her hospital! She’s a great example of a driven woman who realizes herself that she is pushing too hard, and that realization and subsequent slowing down allows her to find love with a former high school nemesis, Drew. Drew is written so cleverly to show how much he really appreciate’s London’s big personality but also advocate for himself in their relationship. Plus they have spicy chemistry!

Thanks to @readforeverpub and @farrahrochon for my gifted copy of The Hookup Plan! This book doesn’t come out until August 2nd, but romance readers, you need this on your radars now! It continues The Boyfriend Project series with London, the pediatric surgeon in the group.

Y’all, I just love Rochon’s writing. It feels like I’m sitting at a table with a friend listening to a story. It’s easy to read, SO much fun, and just an all around good time. This book is a lovely ending to The Boyfriend Project series, and if you’ve read the others, you’ll want to read this one too. London is a wonderful and complex woman full of depth, and I can’t wait for more of you to read her story!

This was my least favorite from the series, while I enjoyed the high school rivals to lovers I didn't feel too connected to either of them. It felt like there were too many side storylines happening that took away from their love story. The book also seemed to sway too much between closed-door an open-door romance. There were a few times when I was confused if they had sex in the previous scene because there was too much tiptoeing around it. Overall, it was a good concept, but it didn't blow me away.

*I received a free ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

I've been sleeping on Farrah Rochon books, and after finishing "The Hookup Plan" I am kicking myself! This is technically the 3rd book in the Boyfriend Project series, but it worked perfectly as a stand-alone. At most, you're getting a few spoilers for The Boyfriend Project and The Dating Playbook.

If you're looking for a spicy enemies-to-lovers, with no 3rd act breakup, this book is for you! Throw in strong female friendships, a great cast of secondary characters, and terrific banter and you've got the perfect book. The plot was great, and it was moved along by excellent writing with fantastic dialogue. I highly recommend this book and I'm going to go back and read the other two ASAP!

Farrah did something with the third installment of this series. I don’t know why The Boyfriend Project never kept my attention but The Hookup Plan did!!! From beginning to end it was a ride.

I loved it so much because I fully connected with London as a character. Focused on truly helping others, and once o have a grudge it’s so hard letting go.

While it is a book in a series this one stands on its on and captures your attention quickly in the first chapter. The characters are excellently described, and my favorite enemies to lovers trope is hard at work.

It’s truly making me pick up The Boyfriend Project again!

Thanks to NetGalley and Forever for providing an advanced copy!

Thank you so much to Forever and Netgalley for an arc of The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon. This book publishes on August 2.
.
I was so happy to finally have London’s story! I have really enjoyed getting to know Samiah, Taylor and London, I love reading about their friendship and how they support each other!
.
I also really enjoyed seeing London and Drew’s relationship develop. I loved how they complemented each other. At times the novel if felt a little long/the pacing at times was a bit slow but I was still fully invested in the story and in the relationships and friendships.
.
Pick this one up if you enjoy:
-enemies/rivals to more (on one side)
-some longing and pining (from the other side)
-dual pov
-good relationship development and communication
-great friendships
-medical content with your rom coms!
.
The Hookup Plan publishes on August 2 and I definitely recommend you pick up this series!
.
Content: gaslighting (parent to adult child), parent comparing siblings and showing preference to son, sexism in the workplace , cancer, death if a parent discussed and in memories (not on page), many scenes in a hospital with sick patients including children.

The Hookup Plan is the story of London and Drew, rivals from high school that have come face to face 15 years later. It was an easy quick read.

I wish I could say that I loved the book like I thought I would. I really wanted to. I had such high hopes for it, considering how exciting it is to have such intelligent and interesting main characters. There are so many romances I’ve read that one of them (usually the female) is portrayed as annoying, less intelligent, and a multitude of other things. But London was the opposite. I was also happy that both main characters were POC and not written as caricatures. I just wish we got more out of their relationship. It seemed lacking for me. I wanted more.

One of the things that bothered me the most was the healthcare/hospital portrayal. Mainly about London’s status as a resident and how she seems to have more importance and wield more power than she should considering residents are the lowly people on the totem pole at a hospital. Like how she got the hospital to paint the pediatric rooms in her first year just by giving them a study on it. Considering it’s a public hospital in an area with lower income families, I doubt it could have happened that easily, considering that kind of work takes quite a bit of money and a lot of other red tape with hospital administration. And the fact that she was going to bat with higher ups for staffing in other departments—that’s not something a resident would be viewed highly for…or at least none of the residents that I know. It was just a little unrealistic and took me out of the story as I continued reading.

Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love former academic rivals to lovers, and I've loved London in the previous books, which convinced me to try this even though I usually hate "developer is trying to shut down a beloved business"stories. I'm so glad I did! Drew was wonderfully solid and supportive, having London's back at every turn. I loved how gone for her he was. I'm sorry to see this series end!

Ok yes this was a typical enemies/rivals to lovers type of story but it actually wasn’t as predictable as I thought it was going to be. The writing was hilarious and I often found myself laughing out loud. I love that London was a strong, independent, intellectual woman who’s an expert in her field, but Drew just has my heart. He has so many cute moments when he was trying to win her over. Apparently I’m late to the game since this is the third book in the Boyfriend Project series.. needless to say I will be going back and reading the other two. I can’t wait to read more about this trio of ladies.

Thank you to NetGallery and Forever Publishing for this eARC!

Some of the best laid plans…..turn into something never expected!!

The Hookup Plan starts off with a high school reunion and two enemies coming face to face after years of not seeing one another. Their banter is heavy and the hate palpable but well a girl like London has needs and decides to make a decision that she never expected!!

Drew who has always admired London from up close (will make sense when you read this amazing story) decides to agree to Londons plan because he has nothing to lose!!

These two never expected their plan to turn into more!

I loved the friendship that emerges between London and Drew because it sets a strong foundation! I also love how upfront and no nonsense these two are because they were so relatable! My first book by this author and I intend to read more!!

Y'all, this romance was everything I needed. It was sweet, funny, sexy, and romantic as hell. You can bet your bottom dollar I already requested (and picked up) The Dating Playbook after realizing I missed the second book in this series and I needed it immediately.

Let me tell you what I loved:

💗 Enemies to lovers, especially a misunderstanding-based enemies to lovers is just *chef's kiss*
💗 Characters that actually take a realistic amount of time to fall in love. For me this just makes the romance so much more believable, and I am way more invested in the storyline.
💗 The little italicized thoughts where the female MC London calls herself on her shit had me dying laughing
💗 A badass pediatric surgeon as our MC! Past premed me was geeking out
💗 My new book boyfriend Drew. He is literally everything you need in a book boyfriend. Sarcastic, kind, competent, successful, hot as hell, and knows his way around the bedroom 🥵
💗THE DRAMA AT THE END WAS NOT A STUPID MISCOMMUNICATION!! When I tell you that for this reason ALONE you should read this book. Absolute applause for kicking that trope for this one Farrah 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

If you have not read this book, run don't walk to get your hands on a copy today! The Hookup Plan releases August 2nd, 2022.

Thank you again for the opportunity to read and review this wonderful book!!

This is my first Farrah Rochon book and won’t be my last! I really enjoyed The Hookup Plan. What makes this book so entertaining is the rivalry between the MCs that goes back 15 years ago. I loved the witty (and honestly petty) banter between London and Drew. They were entertaining and passionate.

I loved the premise of this story, but I really loved Drew!! He is perfect—caring, patient, and harboring these feelings for London :( the character development in this book felt natural as did the progression of the romance.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC

Finally, London's book!!! I loved the snippets of London that we got in The Boyfriend Project and The Dating Playbook. I love her even more after spending a whole book getting to know her. London was completely overworked and stressed out, and Drew was the perfect stress reliever. The rivals to lovers was done really well. I appreciate that we got a deep exploration of the rivalry and that there was more to it than 'I just didn't like you in high school'. I said this for the other two in the series, but its worth repeating, Farrah writes such real characters - a star surgeon and a millionaire feel like your friends. I'm so sad this is the last book in the series, but I will be absolutely hyping it up to all my fellow romance lovers!

This was so good!! Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for sharing this wonderful eARC with me. I haven’t had a chance to read the first two books of this series, but heard I could read this as a stand-alone so I decided to pick it up!

I was not disappointed. THIS is what an adult relationship/romance book looks like. I loved this, and couldn’t get enough of the friend group and Drew!!!

4.5/5

This is the first time I ever read a Farrah Rochon book. I picked it up because I know Farrah is writing the upcoming twisted tale book, so I wanted to get a feel for the sty;e. And let me tell you, I was not dissapointed. I loved the characters, and the romance element involved.

How could I resist this ARC when I saw that cover?! This one was a lot of fun. It had a good mix of lighthearted humor and some heavier topics. This is the third book in this series, and the first one I've read, but I thought it worked fine as a stand alone. There were the obligatory scenes with characters from past books, and of course I didn't have any connection to those characters, so I'm sure I would have enjoyed those scenes more if I'd read the others.
It's worth noting that London, the FMC, is a pediatric surgeon, so there are some seriously sick kids featured in small portions of the book. There's also some really unhealthy family dynamics going on in London's family, and some misogynistic bullshit at her job, which are addressed, and grief over the former death of a parent for Drew, the MMC, is explored.
I wish I'd felt a bit more of an emotional connection between the MCs. They had a lot of chemistry and fun back and forth banter. And I liked their arc from former high school nemeses to antagonistic adults to "no strings attached, no feelings, one night only" to really getting to know and care about one another. I could definitely see how they were the right match, I just wanted a little bit less of the other stuff going on in their lives and a little bit more emotion in the romance. Still, I definitely enjoyed this one and I'll probably try the others in the series.
