This was a super sweet book, and I had no idea it was a part of a series! I definitely need to go back and check out the author’s previous works. After reuniting with her high school rival at a reunion, the two strike up a “hook up plan,” telling themselves casual hookups will be the only relationship they’ll be having. As we can all see coming, this turns from hook up, to friendship, to even more, and it was adorable to read. The characters were rich and had beautiful back stories, and I really loved the sweetness of London and Drew’s relationship. My only negative was I wanted so much more from the epilogue!
Thank you to Netgalley and Forever Publishing for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This one comes out in August!

I usually try not to DNF books, but at about 10% of the way through the book I realized it was not going to be one I could get through.
This was the first book I have read by Farrah Rochon, but based off of the synopsis and reviews from books she has already released I thought it would be one I would enjoy. However, I quickly found that the characters felt really flat, and almost like they were acting "out of character" despite knowing hardly anything about them.
The dialogue was also too cheesy and difficult to get through, with characters saying things that no one ever says in real-life? All of it just felt staged and unnatural, which isn't a desirable quality in a romance book.
Although I could see how some people might enjoy this, it really was not enjoyable for me and not one I would recommend.

The best book in the boyfriend project series!! This book started so strong with the banter and ended strong with no 3rd act miscommunication. The characters are smart and kind and complex and we see both of their povs. Frenemies with benefits but the guy want more. There is also story lines outside of the romance that are very compelling and help you fully understand the characters. Such a fun read and a very sweet conclusion to the series.

This is my favorite of the series. London is the last of the crew to find love, but to be honest I feel like she “deserves” it most. Not to say that the others don’t, but her story feels like she worked the hardest to work get together her HEA. Nothing for her came easy and I appreciated the fact that her relationship with her dad didn’t get wrapped up with a neat bow because that’s real. Sometimes we have shitty people on our lives and that’s all they’ll ever be.
London just constantly got shit thrown at her and she just really took it like I champ. My favorite part is when she has that moment with Drew and gets to cry, even it’s just a tear. She is every strong Black woman carrying so much and I just love that.
Drew was the cutest. He would’ve done anything for her and I liked him best out of all the men, maybe because he had loved her for so long, and he was so patient.
The ongoing friendship was dope. I don’t think enough books have such a solid group of friends.
I loved this story. If you’re looking for a sweet romance, not a lot of spice(barely any), then read this book.

I really enjoyed this book! I didn't realize it was part of a series... it reads easily as a standalone, but I'm definitely going to read the others by this author.
The love story between London and Drew is adorable but that paired with the career and daddy issues made this book not only a fun but an interesting read.
Thanks @NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for this ARC!

I cannot believe that this series is done, this is the highly anticipated conclusion to one of my favorite series, the Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon. When I got the ARC of this book, I knew I needed to put everything down and read it and I am sooooooo glad that I did.
The Hookup Plan is book 3 in the series and it features Dr. London Kelley, a Pediatric surgeon resident who is so busy that she does not know what her hobbies are. She is so stressed and wound tight since she is in her last year of residency, why not add on planning your high school reunion.
I've been waiting to read London's stories since she was introduced in "The Boyfriend Project" and while you do not need to read the series to love this book, I still highly recommend it.
London struggles with major insecurities that stem from not feeling loved by her father, she has always tried to be the perfect child to gain his love. And honestly, this is something I could super relate to with London.
While at her high school reunion, she finds herself face-to-face with her high school enemy, or what she thinks he was.
Drew has always had a secret torch for London, she just has never seen it. When running into her during a high school reunion and ending up in bed together. Drew cannot be happier until he knows he has to tell London they will be working together.
London has tried to keep a wall up between her and Drew the whole time, but he ends up knocking it down with her constant pursuit.
Together London and Drew are dynamic, they help build each other up and overcome trauma from their past. Drew was willing to put in the work to gain London's love and this book does not disappoint.
While The Hookup Plan is the last book in the series, I cannot have asked for a better conclusion. I loved falling in love with all of the great heroes, and cheering on our heroines as they loved to love themselves and thrive in their careers while also finding their forever loves.
The Hookup Plan features enemies-to-lovers romance, dual POVs, millionaire hero, with semi-open-door romance. This is the perfect summer read, and I cannot wait to get my hands on a finished copy.

Finally got to read the third book. I was not a fan of the second but I really enjoyed the first but I was super pumped for this one. And it delivered! I loved it. Highly recommend this series

This was my first Farrah Rochon book, and I will definitely go back and read the rest of this series! Drew and London have the best enemies to lovers story. Love how their characters are developed, and I was really rooting for them! Cute, quick read. Loved it!
I received a free eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I’d been eagerly awaiting the conclusion of this series and Rochon doesn’t disappoint. London and Drew’s story was the quintessential enemies to lovers set up and I loved their journey to love.

The sparks between London and Drew were fiery! Loved the story, and her relationship with her girlfriends. Farrah Rochon is quickly becoming a must-read!

The Hookup Plan was a great, no thinking needed romance. I love a good enemies to lovers!
London is a bad ass pediatric surgeon (get itt girl!) and her teenage nemesis, Drew, comes to town and her world gets tipped on its axis. He is in charge of her hospitals survival. Of course, she is immediately drawn to him and him to her. And their romance ensues!
I won't say anymore (no spoilers!) but Farrah Rochon did not disappoint.
Thank you netgalley for the eARC!

I really loved this book and I thought it was such a great read.
I really loved the characters. I always love an ambitious, smart leading lady who truly has her own life and career goals. I also really loved the character development we got in this book of London really transitioning from just wanting someone to sleep with and then slowly realizing that she actually really had feelings. I also LOVED the male lead in this book and loved how their story came together.
The story was fast-paced enough to keep me interested while taking the time to cultivate the relationship and show all of the different layers of each of the characters.

I was highly anticipating London's story in this series. I certainly was not disappointed. London and Drew were high school classmates and she didn't get along with him during that time. They meet up again after 15 years at their class reunion and end up having a one night stand or so they thought. Since Drew is doing a job for the hospital that London works at, he is sticking around for a while. Despite London saying it's a one time thing, they can't keep their hands to themselves. I really enjoyed how Ms. Rochon told this story. I loved how London was able to discover who she truly is and learn to accept love from Drew. This is a true enemies to lovers story which ended up being a soul-searching romance for both Drew and London. I highly recommend this book and suggest that you pick up a copy of this book.

I absolutely loved this enemies to lovers story! London was an easy to like main character-with her drive and focus juxtaposed by her emotional struggles. The history between Drew and London really added to my interest in their romance. I have loved all of The Boyfriend Project books but this one might be my favorite!

I loved this final book in the series. I really liked returning to the friendships that started in the first book and continued here. London and Drew are great together.

At their 15 year HS Reunion, Dr. London Kelley, pediatric surgeon, meets her co-valedictorian and bane of her High School existence, Drew Sullivan. Drew is now a partner at a firm with a net worth of about $100 million dollars with work based in New York and basically a High School celebrity.
I loved the banter! The spice came in quick like basically the night of the HS reunion, which eventually lead to the Hookup Plan, which is no strings attach, just hook up to relieve stress. I love London’s character, she is ballsy, knows what she wants and takes it. it had angst but I didn’t feel frustrating. Her trauma was understandable. There was a short conflict in the beginning but it didn’t drag. Drew is basically a simp for London and I love it. It's not that he doesn't have a backbone, he did give her a run for her money in High School and now, it's time to grow up.
I normally listen to audiobooks around this time because it’s still my busy season at work and I like resting my eyes but this book had me hooked. What I loved most about this book was that the characters acted like adults. When Drew held back what he really wanted to say, it's because he knew London was not going to believe him. He needed to show her. It was a breath of fresh air.
It was light rom-com, banter-filled fun, with spice.
The sexy scenes is about 3.5/5 spice level for me.
Overall, 4/5 stars for me for light rom-com read.

Dr. London Kelley is a badass pediatric surgeon with a heart of gold, very little free time, and a whole lot of stress. With friends, coworkers, and her own doctor pushing her to relax, London has been trying to find a stress relieving hobby, with minimal success. When she runs into Drew Sullivan (her high school archnemesis) at their 15 year reunion, the last thing she expects is to wind up in his bed by the end of the night. With Drew only in town for a few weeks, London figures it doesn’t matter who said hookup partner is, if the sex this good. Because excellent sex or not, there is no way she is falling for Drew Sullivan.
The Hookup Plan is the third book in The Boyfriend Project series. And while each book can stand alone, I’d definitely recommend reading each book in published order! In book one we meet Samiah, Taylor, and London who discover that they all have been dating the same three-timing asshole. While he might have been a douche bag, these ladies walk away with two new best friends. I loved book one, was not a huge fan of book two, and have been eagerly awaiting book three.
What I love most about this series is the above mentioned friendship between London, Taylor, and Samiah. I love when the characters pop up in other books and then you get to see them fully fleshed out in their own novel. Going into London’s story knowing enemies-to-lovers was on the table, plus academic rivals (yes please!), I was expecting this book to check allllllll of my rom com boxes. However, while it was a quick read, the characters likable, and the love interest swoony, I didn’t feel wowed in any regard. The stakes between our two MCs seemed low, the enemies aspect quickly proved to be very one sided, as was the academic rivalry, which did I mention… took place fifteen years ago??? *Whispers* girl, let it go. But, sometimes something fun and light, with minimal conflict is just what you need! All in all, The Hookup Plan is a cute read if you’re in the mood for a quick, feel-good contemporary romance.

Pub date: 8/2/22
Genre: romcom, book 3 in The Boyfriend Project series (each book can be read as a standalone)
In one sentence: Pediatric surgeon London Kelley needs a hookup - but when her enemy with benefits shows up at her hospital, what's a girl to do?
Enemies to lovers fans, this one's for you! London propositions her high school nemesis Drew after their reunion, and these two prove there's a thin line between love and hate. I loved seeing them navigate their personal and professional relationship. Rochon is great at writing book boyfriends - I remember calling Jamar from The Dating Playbook swoon-worthy, and Drew is equally dreamy. There's a good bit of steam in this one for all you open-door romance lovers!
I appreciated that this book didn't manufacture conflict for the leads - they both had plenty to deal with, but their issues felt real and important - and they also worked them out together. Plus who doesn't love a badass woman STEM protagonist? Add this one to your romcom tbr - 4.5 stars.

After getting to see Samiah and Taylor have their happily ever afters, it’s finally London’s turn. In the third installment of The Boyfriend Project, London’s high school nemesis returns to her life, and she does the one thing any rational person would do in her situation: hook up with him. Okay, maybe it’s not the most rational, but when you’re a pediatric resident facing tons of stress EVERY DAY, you have to let loose somewhere right?
The fun thing about series is that you get to know a character in the peripherals before you get to understand them fully. The Hook Up Plan is no different. The readers know London, how stressful her job is, and her quest for something to take a little bit of the edge off. She’s tried painting, cooking classes, and a host of other things but doesn’t seem to find a hobby that can keep her occupied. This story opens on London adding more stress to her life. As student body president (10 years ago!!), it’s her job to plan the high school reunion and make sure it goes off without a hitch. Of course, Drew decides to show up without an RSVP to make her life miserable, just like he did in high school. By the end of the night, London starts to think maybe running into him again isn’t a total loss.
London and Drew are great characters to read. They’re both strong-willed, pretty stubborn, and really care about people. It’s nice to read about characters who care about others, because we don’t always get to see that. Somehow, their fierce care for others lands them on opposite sides of every argument, including the fate of the hospital where Taylor is completing her residency.
I really enjoy a story where there’s more going on than just the romance between the characters, and Farrah Rochon delivers. While we get to watch London and Drew attempt to reconcile their pasts with each other, we also get to see them deal with their own issues. London is trying to be a good doctor, sister, friend, and daughter, but it’s not always easy. Drew is dealing with the loss of a family member and all the guilt that comes with that.
One part of this novel that felt very real and tough to read was Taylor coming to terms with her relationship with her father. If you’re a part of the Bad Dads Club, you may feel represented, and also a bit sad.
While this novel gives us the ending we expect from a romance, everything isn’t tied up in a nice little bow. We get a little realism that is welcome and appreciated, even though I didn’t want to hear it. I’m sad to say goodbye to London, Samiah, and Taylor, but I’m glad I got to see them become the women they are but the end of this novel. If you want to call up your friends to tell them you love them, see women kicking butt and taking the reins in their life, read The Hook Up Plan (and if you haven’t read the first two books, what’s your problem?)

Another fabulous read from Farrah! I've loved this series since it started, but it became more of a favorite when I moved to Austin last year. I love all the little details of the city thrown in.
I'm sad to see the trio wrapping up but the epilogue ending was perfection to the book.
I want this to be a spoiler free reviews so I'll keep it light, i think the treatment of the father/daughter relationship was good, not everything has a happy ending. But I think Coleman should have gotten the boot!
