I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I totally loved this book. This is a great contemporary romance. It is the third and final book in the boyfriend Project series. I loved it. I loved seeing the amazing group of girl friendship grow. It was a great enemies to lover’s story. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed this book.

Farrah Rochon's Boyfriend Project trilogy is fantastic, and this third entry in the series does not disappoint! Once again, the confounding factors in their relationship felt realistic, and it was satisfying to see how they resolved them. Can't wait for more!

So much damn steam. I didn't want to finish the book because I didn't want the series to end. London was the one character I wanted to get to know more about and Rochon didn't disappoint. Her battle of wits and sex with Drew was everything. It tackled so much- disparity in medical care, sexism, father/daughter relationships, and enemies to lovers.

Such an amazing conclusion to one of my fave series ever.

i thought i’d like this a lot more than i did. i liked the academic-rivals-turned-lovers bit, but didn’t really connect with any of the characters. objectively, there’s nothing wrong; things just didn’t land for me overall.

Overall, I enjoyed this book! I have not yet read the first two books in this series, but I will definitely pick them up now and add them to my ever-growing tbr. This story is about London, who is a successful pediatric surgeon, who needs a way to decompress from her stressful job, to which her friends suggest a casual hookup! So, when she meets her high school rival, Drew at her school reunion, they have a night of fun, thinking she will never have to see him again.

One thing that I really loved in this book was how London was a pediatric surgeon, and how she had so much love for her patients. She is such a smart and educated character, and is a bit cocky because of it, which she honestly deserves to be. She’s also a stubborn character, but I really liked that part of her. I was rooting for her from the very start, and I liked how she stuck to what she values all throughout the book. She was not a hopeless woman willing to drop everything for love, and I really appreciated that. I also really liked her relationship with her friends and how she was always there for her family, no matter what. As for the hero, Drew, he was just an okay character for me. Nothing about him seemed very rememberable to me, and I wish I knew a bit more about him.

This book was described as a enemies-to-lovers; however, I was a bit disappointed in this description. The hate was mostly one sided, and the tension between the characters was not there as much as I would have liked. I also thought the “enemies” aspects did not last very long for and enemies to lovers’ story. It was more like a rivals-to-lovers. However, I really liked London and Drew together. They were such a great match. They had really great banter between them, and I thought they were such great together, pushing each other to be better. However, I wish the author kept the conflicts going for a bit longer, as I felt like some issues were resolved fairly quickly, which felt a bit unrealistic to me.

Overall, this was a pretty good read. It was different, but in a good way. I thought it was lacking in some aspects but I was pretty happy with it overall. I feel like you might enjoy this book if you love:
- Rivals-to-lovers
- Work based romance
- Strong female leads
- Grey’s Anatomy
- Female friendships

I have not yet read the first two books in this series, however I will for sure be adding them to my kindle IMMEDIATELY!
I've found that sometimes when the MC's are in the medical field, the author can use too much medical lingo and it can seem unnecessary...this was not the case with The Hook Up Plan! The medical lingo is done so well and you don't ever feel confused about what's going on. I think that Drew and London's back stories were done really well and there were no holes or questions as to why things happened the way they did. This book would be the perfect summer read! So quick, easy and fun!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the chance to read an early copy of this book!

This book is all about our heroine London, and she was just A Lot to deal with. We start out at a high school reunion that she's obsessively micromanaging, and by the end of the night she is bossing her high school rival into bed for "stress relief," and those two elements are a good introduction to her character. She is a hard-driving hyper-overachiever (HOW is she a pediatrician, she seems much too intense) that is also somehow very generous with her time and is the person everyone trusts and confides in; it was really hard to sympathize with her. I also didn't enjoy the flat antagonist and how he kept popping up with obstacles yet by the end he remained a thorn in everyone's side. Maybe it's realistic, but I like fiction where things tie up neatly. London also keeps pushing herself really hard and I expected there to be more of a spectacular crash and come-to-Jesus moment; instead, there was a minor incident and gradual change, which I guess is good, but I never got a sense that she learned her lesson. I know I haven't really mentioned our hero Drew but I think London really dominates the book and he seems like more of a supporting character. Finally, one of my favorite parts of the first two books in the series was how integral the workplace was to the story. Here, it was more of a negative because I found reading about the healthcare system in the US stressful in a way that tech startups (THE BOYFRIEND PROJECT) and personal training (THE DATING PLAYBOOK) weren't.

Overall I liked this series and especially adored the first book, but I'm not sure I'll be coming back to this one.

Having loved the previous books in this series, it was an absolute auto-read for me and I was waiting for London's book as she was my favorite among the three for a long time. London and Drew's story starts off as enemies to lovers trope and grows into friends to lovers just because London stays adamant she doesn't have such feelings for him. It had the right amount of steam and London is absolutely badass in her professional life. I loved the continued strong friendship bond among the ladies of the series. It was fun and an absolute delight to read! A definite top series for all romance readers and these have such amazing heroines in the true sense.

My only issue was that there could have been a better closure about her issue with her father .

I enjoyed it! My biggest qualm was the lack of resolution with London’s dad, though that’s how it goes sometimes, huh?

I always love rivals to lovers and this was a fun spin on it: former high school rivals hookup years later and of course...sparks fly! This was a really fun read with great banter and chemistry between the leads! It was my first book by Farrah Rochon and I'm so excited to go back and read the rest of this series! Thanks to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

This book is the third in a series, but I read it as a standalone and was able to keep up just fine. London is a talented surgeon resident dealing with a lot of stress in her life and some huge decisions about her future. Her best friends keep encouraging her to find a man to help her de-stress. At her 15 year reunion she runs into her archenemy from school Drew Sullivan. The night takes a surprising turn, and London ends up having a one night stand with him, grateful she’ll never have to face him again. The joke is on her when she sees him at work Monday, and realizes he is in town to help find out if her hospital has the finances to keep running, and she’ll be seeing him everyday for weeks. I loved the female friendships, strong women characters, and vulnerable males in this book. London and Drew were two really great flawed characters that you really wanted to root for. This was my first book by this author, but it won’t be my last. I received an ARC from netgalley, and this is my honest review.

Farrah Rochon continuously amazes me with her delightful romcoms! I've officially become addicted to this series and am always looking forward to more books being released! I highly recommend this one when it comes out in August. I'll be grabbing a copy for my bookshelves!

I loved the first 2 books in this series, so I was so excited to get a chance to read the 3rd one! This is the story of London, pediatric surgery resident and her highschool nemesis, Drew millionaire former hedge fund manager.

As her part of the Boyfriend Project with her two friends, London needs to find a hobby and some stress relief. When she crosses paths with her gorgeous high school enemy at a class reunion, some no strings attached, physical “stress relief” seems like the perfect idea!

Drew has secretly been attracted to London since high school, but kept it a secret. Can he convince her to take a chance on them and see what happens when they try to be more than a Hookup?

I loved the friendships in this book and the banter between Drew and London. I really enjoyed seeing their relationship develop throughout the story. It felt real and believable. This one delivers on the steam, but I thought it was interesting that it wasn’t very detailed until Drew and London start to really have a relationship that means something to both of them.

Thanks to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the chance to read this ARC.

3.75 ⭐ rounded to 4!

I enjoyed this book more than I expected. I have not read the first two from the series yet but that did not affect the plot of The Hookup Plan. This was such a fun quick read! London and Drew's chemistry was undeniable. From high school rivals to friends with benefits, this is everything. I love that London is a strong and successful heroine. I love how Drew would do anything for London but also how honest he is. Watching them fall for each other was so sweet and London finally opening up for Drew was so heartwarming.

{3.5 stars}

This was my first Farrah Rochon book, I know, crazy right? I was really drawn in to this romcom because the characters were educated and well put together. There was no disorganized woman hoping for love, a trope that I hate, London is successful and cocky and kind. She was the kind of woman you want to root for. Love wasn't the plan, in fact, the last thing she wants from her high school rival is anything. But at their high school reunion, they realize they have an intense spark. Circumstances allow them to spend some bedroom time together and agree to just mess around while they are in the same town. Quickly they realize that they are interested in more but can they find a way to make it work.

There is fun banter, a great foundation story about finding a way to save the hospital and lots of sexy time - if that's your thing. It was a bit steamier than I usually read but I really appreciated they were responsible, respectful adults slowly discovering their feelings for one another. There is no shenanigans of constant miscommunications, another trope that annoys me, these two speak and challenge and resolve. I really liked that.

Thanks to Netgalley for advanced access to this novel. All opinions above are my own.

I really enjoyed this one. I haven’t read the two previous titles but this one was good as a stand alone. I really enjoyed the characters and the struggles the two of them faced. A really good black love romance.

Comparing this book to the first and second in the series, I definitely liked it more than the second. The rivals-to-lovers was fun but also had a series edge based on their past together but also the fact that they are dealing with the administration of a hospital. And I always appreciate a hero who is so gone for a heroine like Drew is for London. Love the positive female friendships too.

As I’m thinking about it, I realize there’s this big revelation moment that seems kind of unresolved or more likely I don’t understand how hospitals work. Maybe?

Thank you Forever and NetGalley for the ARC!

This was so delightful! I loved the chemistry between the two main characters, the banter was SUPREME, and their emotional development was to die for. I loved how the third act didn’t have a break up, instead they worked through the conflict together to come out stronger. This was a strong conclusion to the Boyfriend project series and I’m sad to see it over!

Book:The Hookup Plan
Author: Farrah Rochon
Pub Date: 8/2/2022
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Review~
The hookup plan is an, enemies to lovers, work based romance, and rivals to lovers trope. I love how this book has a strong women role named London.

This book takes place where London is a pediatric surgeon who has trouble balancing her work life and her person life. Drew is her enemy from high school she always found him being a competition with her to try to better then her.

London found out that Drew was going to be working either and that caused her to have even more problems with him. From I start I can tell there was chemistry between London and Drew and I love how Drew never gave up on her and waited for her.

Overall this book was amazing if you haven’t read the first book to the series of the BoyFriend project I highly recommend you do. This book really showed how work can target your overall health if you don’t take time for yourself which really stand out to me. The characters were amazing and loved to story line so much.

Classic rivalry turned love affair. Love to read a novel full of successful people living and loving that look like me. I wanted to live this as much as the rest of the series but it feel just short of brilliant. I would still highly recommend this as a standalone but the entire series as a whole is so much better.
