This was a very cute frenemies to lovers featuring a pediatric surgeon and the hedge fund manager auditing her hospital. But their relationship is so much more than this as Drew and London knew each other in high school where they were in constant competition with each other, a tension that has lingered for London until present day. It isn't enough to keep London from wanting to take advantage of Drew's temporary presence in her town to get some physical action, but in the course of getting to know each other better, things go from hot to toasty warm. I really enjoyed the side stories, from the interactions with London's family to Drew straightening out his own past. This is book three in a series, but reads easy as a stand alone.

When London decides to have a one night stand with her high school rival, Drew, after their high school reunion, she has no idea that he’s the consultant assigned to review her hospital. Instead of never seeing him again, she’s forced to work with him closely to save her public hospital from being bought my a private company.
This classic rivals to lovers story will have you falling in love with each characters’ complicated lives as they fall in love with each other. Prepare to not be able to put this book down. Filled with relatable conversations and steamy scenes, this is the perfect beach read.

The third book in the Boyfriend Project series by Farrah Rochon, The Hookup Plan, is a contemporary romance story centering on the bright and ambitious life of London Kelley. London is a pediatric surgeon who exhibits perfectionist tendencies in all areas of her life. When she encounters Drew, her former school rival at their class reunion, London immediately reverts to the snarky and competitive interactions of her youth. Matching her step for step in both professional accolades and success, Drew also can't refrain from slinging zingers back at London.
A casual hookup the night of the reunion is supposed to be a one time thing but when their professional lives intersect, Drew and London continue to hookup. Over time their relationship grows more serious as they come to understand each other on a deeper level and help each other work through familial relationships. In addition, these two nemeses have to collaborate and utilize their best professional skills to save the hospital where London practices surgery, Can these two overcome their past and make a future together?
I enjoyed this book and getting to know London a bit better. At times I wished the author fleshed out conflicts a bit more. Everything seemed to get resolved quickly which isn't realistic enough for me. I also hoped to have the other two protagonists in the series make appearances more often than they did in this book. If this series continues, I'd like to see these female relationships evolve to more than the quick "let's eat and give advice" episodes.
Overall, 3.5 stars for a fun and cheeky story! Special thanks to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The Hookup Plan is the third book in The Boyfriend Project Series. I actually did not know this until about halfway through BUT The Hookup Plan is able to stand on its own without reading the two previous books.
It’s a cute story with a great ending. I was hoping for a little more comedy but it was still a nice easy read.

London Kelley is a successful yet stressed paediatric surgeon. Always putting others, including her patients first, the stress is catching up with her. Both mentally and physically. According to her friends Samiah and Taylor, what London really needs is a casual friends with benefits man to help with the stress. Taylor is gain but did not expect it to go down at her high school reunion with Drew Sullivan, millionaire, good looking, and oh yes, her arch-nemesis from her past.
Now London is certain the road to hell is paved with good sex. Because she’s found out the real reason Drew’s back in Austin: to decide whether her beloved hospital remains open. Worse, Drew is doing everything he can to show her that he’s a good guy. But London has convinced herself to never let anyone in, How long can she deny the growing feelings for an old high school frenemy?
I have truly loved this series! Farrah Rochon is an underrated gem. I love her smart wit, inclusiveness and relativity she puts in to these novels. Drew and London are relatable characters dealing with their own share of struggles from loss to family relationships to mental and physical health. This book is #3 in the series each focusing on the trio friendship. I recommend reading the first two books to get the full effect but it can also be read as a stand alone. This was a fun read that provided all the feels and I did not want to put it down.
A heads up it’s definitely PG 13 with some language and um……steamy scenes but that’s what makes the book what it is!
Thank you NetGalley for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I’m so glad I picked this book up! I knew I needed to read it after enjoying the first two in this series and I knew I needed to know London’s story!
I think it’s easy for us to label someone and not fully understand their motivations or intentions, just like London did with Drew. And even when we start to see a different side, it’s hard to turn that around right away. But I love how London grew in this story and ultimately did what was right for her!
I wanted a little more Taylor and Samiah in this book and I felt like there were a few things that could have been resolved/resolved better but overall I really enjoyed this one and you should definitely pick it up!

What a great introduction for me to this author - I loved this book!
Great romance, with friendships, family relationships, work issues, and plenty of side characters and plot points.
I have not read the first two in this series of "The Boyfriend Project" but now having read this third one, I want to read the others! I like the author's writing style; it's very readable and easy to get through, but not too simplistic.
The main character, London Kelley, is a pediatric surgeon resident rockstar, working at her local county hospital in Austin, TX. She reconnects with Drew, her arch nemesis from high school, at their HS reunion. Because of her stressful job, her friends have been encouraging her to find a friends with benefit situation - so she chooses Drew and finds out he is a great bedroom partner.
Unbeknownst to her though, smart, rich, successful, caring Drew is in Austin for the month to do an audit of her hospital to determine whether it should be privatized or sold. This leads to workplace conflict, but Drew is determined to convince London that he's meant for her and more than just the kissing buddy she wants him to be.
I loved the happily ever after ending, though it did wrap up a little quickly and conveniently. The health issues London faces are realistically portrayed and make sense for the story. I also really enjoyed the storyline of London and her father, and how that came to a head.
Just overall a really enjoyable read.
The steam is both closed door and some open door, but nothing very graphic

Super cute, lighthearted, lovely read. Our leading lady has serious snap judgment issues, which I couldn’t stand in the first half of the book. She’s a dynamic enough character that it all worked out. Drew, conversely, had seemingly zero flaws. What?
Despite those things, it was a fun read. 3.5 stars.
Thank you to Netgalley and Grand Central Publishing for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

This book was an absolute joy to read! I love the twist on traditional gender roles and attitudes (you have to read it to know what I am talking about)! London and Drew are my favorite characters to emerge from this series. This book was relatable in many ways and at times I laughed out loud and others my heart strings were pulled. London's quick wit draws you in from the get go and her journey is a must read. Family, friends, coworkers, love, the topic doesn't matter because the reader is sure to relate to one or all the above! Well done Farrah Rochon, well done!

I haven’t read the other books in this series, but I’ll have to check them out after seeing how great this one is! The characters are lovable, the relationship’s progression felt natural, and it features representation of women in STEM. Sometimes I take issue with non-romance parts of romance novels, but the parts that dealt with London’s family were actually a nice addition. I’d recommend this to fellow rom-com fans.

Feisty, control freak London reunites w her arch nemesis at HS reunion. The former co-valedictorians spark flames of fury and lust in each other. Both have struggles in their lives and a both really kind, caring people. He might not have told her that his company is making recommendations regarding the hospital she works at and if it can be saved or sold. She is a last year pediatric resident who is a workaholic by nature.
Will their hookup plan evolve? Will the hospital be saved? Will their individual struggles be dealt with?
Quick steamy burn, strong female MC who knows what she wants and is not afraid to ask.
Thank you to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this novel

I honestly didn't read the first (on my list now) and did not feel that I was missing too much of the plot. A few mentions here and there but that is it. I still was able to fall in love with the characters, felt their experiences both past and present, and rooted for them throughout the book! I am a sucker for a love story and appreciated how quickly we were able to get these two to fall in love. I would recommend this book and probably to check out the other two in the series as well!
Thank you NetGalley, Forever, and author Farrah Rochon for this ARC!

This book was wonderful! The love story was so cute and developed very authentically and naturally. I enjoyed that the characters were older and also acted their age. I didn’t feel like they were over reacting or being teenager-Esque like some romance novel couples can be. There was also no “big miscommunication” trope which was nice. Highly recommend

London is a great pediatric surgeon. She also has a major need to be the best. Her "goal" from her friends Samiah and Taylor is to get laid!
Drew is her arch nemesis from high school and they fall into their old pattern at their HS 20 year reunion. He's here to try and save her hospital from being sold to a private held company. He's also perfect for London's goal.
So they decide they can hookup but that's it for the time that Drew is in town.
I love the competition and the banter between these two. It can be explosive but it feels so real for how long they've known each other. I feel we get the bedroom scenes a lot faster in this book because that what the title is about.
I really liked that Location ripped into her narcissistic father. He's a real winner 🙄
I also just love the 3 ladies so much! London, Samiah, and Taylor got so close so fast and I'm jealous of that type of easy friendship! They just push each other to be the best they can be and it's funny and adorable and heartwarming.

Farrah Rochon continues her sassy and steamy romance series featuring the perfect blend of independent heroines, strong female friendships, laugh out loud banter, hunky love interests, spicy sex, meaningful moments and plenty of wanderlust for Austin, TX. I could not get enough of London and Drew's enemies to lovers, semi-second chance romance and didn't want this book to end. A perfect addition to the Boyfriend Project series! Also, y'all... THAT COVER couldn't be any more gorgeous!

I loved this book! There is something about characters being academic rivals/enemies that I love and this delivered. The chemistry, the friendships, the setting I loved it all. I would recommend The hookup Plan to anyone looking for an enemies to lovers, academic rivals romance :) -4 stars
Thank you to Netgalley for the arc!

I enjoyed this book a lot! I related so much to many of London's struggles as a young woman in a competitive field. Her relationships with not only Drew, but also her friends and family and coworkers were all really lovely. I definitely recommend it!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU TO FOREVER PUBLISHER FOR ALLOWING ME TO READ AND REVIEW AN ARC OF THE HOOKUP PLAN!
First off, I’m going to miss following London, Samiah, and Taylor! It’s crazy how Farrah Rochon was able to write such distinct powerhouse MC's and love interests for each of the girls. Sometimes I struggle with how similar storylines or characters are with each other where they start to blur too much. This wasn’t the case at all for this book series! I couldn’t wait to get to London’s storyline, and it didn’t disappoint. Normally enemies to lovers aren’t my favorite romance trope but London and Drew’s storyline seemed believable! London and Drew were high school rivals, always competing for the highest grades in the class. When London goes to her High School reunion Drew was the last person she thought she’d reconnect with (in more ways than one). Surprisingly enough she ends up having to work closely with Drew’s firm as him and his team audit the financials of the Hospital London works at. I LOVE how London was such a bad ass pediatric surgeon and how much of a cinnamon roll Drew was! Drew was so sweet and supportive of London’s goals and was patient gaining her trust. The epilogue was perfection and put a smile on my face with how complete everything felt. 5 star read and I can’t wait to see what else Farrah Rochon releases!

This was my first read from Farrah Rochon, but considering the hype surrounding the other books, I was excited for a new Black romance. This book was a huge letdown. I found London to be extremely annoying and truly only stayed to be able to give a review. Who holds a one-sided grudge for 15 years??? It was super juvenile. Much of the dialogue felt cringey, forced and inauthentic, as if the editors took all the Blackness from it. The character had 0000 chemistry to me. This had such great potential but the execution was lacking severely.
Thanks to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for sharing this arc in exchange for my honest review!

I've really loved this whole series, and this book is a great end to it! Farrah Rochon always writes great, smart heroines and relatable female friendships, so I'm glad London got her HEA. The enemies-with-benefits situation really works here, and Rochon nails the pacing of the gradual slide from enemies to lovers to friends to love. I was surprised that the bleak moment wasn't really all that bleak when I was anticipating something a bit bigger, but I'm actually okay with that because do we really need bleak these days? I think not, especially when this book is so delightful.
