3.5 stars. Excellent overall premise--the progression of Jim's transformation felt very authentic and meaningful. I never really warmed up to Marilyn, and felt like some of the responsibility for their relationship failings should have been placed on her--like maybe she should have tried counseling, even on her own if her husband wouldn't go, before just deciding to move out. I look forward to more books in the series to see how other members of the family overcome relationship problems.
