I always love a visit to South Cove to see old book friends Jill and her crew. When Jill and her aunt stumbled onto the latest dead body, they had no idea what a twisty case it'd turn out to be. I'm not even close to being caught up in real time for this series, but I did know Jill and Greg were engaged, so when I saw the ARC at NetGalley and the title, I couldn't resist!

Meanwhile, Jill and Greg were attending the engagement party being thrown for them, besides what a good way to pick up on clues, right? I wanted to like Harper the dress designer, but there was just something off about her which a good twist later on definitely explained.

I just love that feisty Aunt Jackie, and now her new husband Harrold who seems to adore her. Deek makes a great bookstore employee, and I hope he eventually becomes an author like he wants, but I'd love to see him stay on. He was so good with the kids and the crowd at the store's readathon!

The showdown was exciting and as always, Jill kinda got in the middle of things and could've gotten killed...again. But it still ended well, and hopefully between now and the next book, I'll be able to get even more caught up with the series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book provided by the publisher via NetGalley, and my opinions are my own.

Wedding Bell Blues is the 13th book in the Tourist Trap Mystery series by featuring Coffee, Books, and More shop owner, Jill Gardner. I have read two other instalments in this delightful series but plan to read the others at some stage.

I enjoyed reading Wedding Bell Blues immensely! In this instalment, set in South Cove, California, It's springtime, Jill is newly engaged to police chief Greg King and their engagement party is planned for the weekend. All Jill needs is a frock which she is buying from the recently opened Exquisite Gowns for You in the town, owned by Harper Sanchez, a special occasion gown designer. There is another clothing shop in town - Vintage Duds - that sells used designer clothes, run by Sherry King. When Jill arrives at Exquisite Gowns for You to collect her dress she finds the lobby empty so so she rings the bell on the counter. There's no response so she enters the dressing room area and discovers a dead body.

This novel was an extremely intriguing tale and I was delighted to be visiting Jill in her coffee, book and trinket shop in coastal South Cove again! Although the list of plausible suspects was fairly small, unravelling the mystery alongside Jill and Greg was lots of fun and I welcomed the comfortable pace. I waded through the red herrings to identify the murderer and often found myself sidetracked by other events, happenings, and occurrences. Lynn Cahoon certainly knows how to write a well-crafted, compelling, and colourful tale. Wedding Bell Blues is a highly recommended read that will be of interest to many cozy readers, and I’m game to see what's going on in South Cove next time. If you haven’t tried this series out yet, then you’re definitely missing out!

I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Kensington Books via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.

Wedding Bell Blues is the 13th in the enjoyable Tourist Trap Mystery series by Lynn Cahoon. I love my visits to South Cove with Jill, (and Greg). I cannot get enough of this charming town and it's inhabitants. The engagment party is on, yet as events converge, someone is murdered and the mystery takes off. The quick pace of this story kept me reading straight through to the end. Such a good, quick read-- I am already looking forward to the next book in this delightful series.

Jill is the owner of Coffee, Books, and More in the small coastal California tourist town, South Cove. She is the new fiancée of the town’s police chief, Greg. Jill also has a habit of finding dead bodies. In Wedding Bell Blues, Jill finds the new owner of Exquisite Gowns for You, Harper, stabbed in her new dressing room. Or is it? Harper appears very much alive. Jill wants to solve the crime, but the number one suspect is her fiancé‘s ex-wife, Sherry, a co-owner of a rival dress shop. Talk about a conflict of interest.

Despite the limited number of suspects, the mystery was an enjoyable challenge to solve. I did get a bit sick of Jill being so hesitant about getting married. It was repetitive. But there was a nice twist at the end. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars!

Thanks to Kensington Books and NetGalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review.

I am giving this book the benefit of the doubt with 2 stars. From my perspective, as someone who has not read any of the other installments in this series, this cozy mystery is a 1 star read. I chose it because the murder takes place in a bridal salon. The bridal industry in fiction is one of my favorite topics.

This book was bad on so many levels. There was no chemistry between male and female lead, who were engaged. People were eating, cooking, or talking about food on almost every page. Early in the novel, the woman said she wanted to lose 20lbs for her wedding. Good luck, sister. The dialogue was everyday banter and did nothing to develop the plot. One of the appeals of cozies is becoming engrossed in the idyllic lives of the characters. This dialogue was just tedious and repetitive.

As for the bridal salon, it played a very small role in the story. Why a designer would open a bridal salon in a TT is far-fetched. Somewhere in the narrative, another store owner was criticized for the high prices of the vintage designer clothes she had for sale in her shop because "this is a beach town". Unless the TT is a trendy place to get married, there is no reason for a bridal designer to open a boutique there. Even in such a place, the bride would have to buy off-the-rack rather than have a gown custom made. It was ridiculous.

I wish I could say there was a good mystery mixed up among all of this garbage; but, unfortunately, there was not. The author summed up the mystery in about 5 pages at the end. A "readathon" consumed a far greater percentage of the page count than the crime, mystery, and resolution. I assume a lot of the background action is a continuation of the atmosphere and ongoing storylines from the previous dozen books. I skimmed all of it.

As a standalone, this book is a 1 star at the most. As part of a series, maybe followers would rate it 3 stars. I am generously averaging the two.

Wedding Bell Blues is lucky number thirteen in the Tourist Trap mystery series, not counting the short stories in the series. I have read all the other books in this series and loved every one. Lynn has a way of bringing people and places to life. She makes me want to move to "South Cove" and open up shop. And I would spend much of my time at Coffee, Books and More. This cozy mystery definitely had me guessing until the end. Now I'm sad because I have to wait for the next one. Even though I was lucky enough to get a free eARC in exchange for a honest review (thank you NetGalley), I have preordered the ebook to further support the author.

This is number 13 in the series and I absolutely loved this book!
As always, the mystery was top notch and reminded me why I love these characters.
This book had great writing, a whodunit that kept me guessing, and characters full of personality.
I cannot wait to read the next book!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This is a good addition to the series. At the South Cove business to business meeting, a newcomer to town is introduced, Harper Sanchez. She is a dress designer and has opened a new store called Exquisite Gowns. Jill's Aunt Jacki has ordered a dress for herself and one for Jill for Jill and Greg's engagement party later that week. However, when Jill goes to pick up the dresses, no one seems to be there. Jill goes in and finds a dead body who looks like Harper. She calls Greg (her fiance and Chief of Police), and goes outside to wait. Then she sees Harper coming across the street with her lunch!

It's not until the next day that the body is identified as Harper's sister, Alicia, who looks a lot like Harper. A young man, who is a lawyer, seems to be helping Harper. They find out that Alicia ran away from her husband a couple of weeks earlier, and he reported her missing. Now he shows up in town. The engagement party is a big success and everyone loves Jill's dress. Meanwhile, Jill can't help trying to figure out what happened. Then she runs a bookathon with an overnight for children at her store. Greg and Jill go to the funeral, and all of a sudden, Jill finds herself with a gun aimed at her!

Wedding Bell Blues is Book 13 the in the Tourist Trap Mystery series by Lynn Cahoon.

I love this series. The setting is in South Cove, California.

Jill Gardner is busy solving a mystery murder in a dress shop.

The characters are so well written, and I have come to really enjoy them.
I love the addition of Deek and Evie.

The mystery was well written and perfectly paced.

Oh boy, that ending! It was wonderful.

One of my favorite series, so well written, can't wait for the next book in the series!

In this thirteenth addition to the Tourist Trap series, Ms. Cahoon has provided a complex mystery that kept me turning the pages. I do love visiting South Cove and catching up with all of the characters as most of them feel like friends now. The characters add depth to each story in the series as they have developed and grown in each book which makes the business community of South Cove come alive for me. A well-crafted and smoothly paced plot, twists, turns, misdirection and a dramatic finale that had me gripping my e-reader. I honestly did not have a clue as to "who done it" until I read the reveal.

I don't know how she does it with all the books she had written, but Lynn once again had me captivated from the first page and was able to surprise me with the ending. I love her writing style and always look forward to her new releases. We get to spend time will Jill and Greg as they prepare for their engagement party and solve another murder. I love the progression of the characters we have met along the way - they are always growing while staying true to themselves. If you love this series, you will not want to miss reading this book. Like I said before, you will be surprised. I thought I knew who did it, and I was mistaken. It's really wonderful how Lynn gets us with all the twists and turns. Keep 'em coming, Lynn.

Wedding Bell BLues is the thirteenth novel in the Tourist Trap series by Lynn Cahoon and I have been reading from the very beginning. One of my favourite cozy mystery series set in the California beach town of South Cove, follows Jill Gardner a former lawyer now owner of Coffee, Book and More.
Jill is getting ready to marry Police Chief Greg King and Her Aunt Jackie is treating her to a custom dress for her engagement party. While picking up the gown at a new dress shop in town, Jill finds a dead body that looks a lot like seamstress and owner Harper Sanchez.
When Jill leaves the shop after calling the police she runs into Harper returning from lunch and the mystery truly begins. Who is the woman in the shop? Harper's sister? Was Harper or the woman the target? Was it random?
Things get even more complicated when Sherry, Greg's ex-wife becomes a suspect. Add to the murder investigation, Jill's cold feet about her new life with Greg will turn out and a huge read-a thon event at the shop and there's a lot going on in South Cove.
I didn't love Jill's doubts about the engagement. I felt she was worried more than expected, especially having been married before and living with Greg for some time.
I adored the side story about Deek and his writing career. I'd love a story centered around him in the future.
The mystery itself was a bit messy, but I did figure out a lot of the mystery before the big reveal. Still, there were a twist or two in the end I didn't guess. The best part about the series is the characters that we've come to know and love. After so many books you get invested in them. A solid and entertaining cozy!

Lynn Cahoon has done it again. Wedding Bell Blues is an engaging cozy mystery centered on the life of coffee shop/bookstore owner Jill Gardner and her detective fiancé Greg King. They live in South Cove, California. Jill and Greg are hosting their engagement party on Saturday. Jill’s aunt has purchased a custom-made dress for Jill to wear at the party. The dress is from the newest shop owner in South Cove, Harper Sanchez. As usual Jill stumbles upon a body in Harper’s shop. While Jill is relieved to find it isn’t Harper, who is this look alike victim? While Greg uses official channels to solve the case, Jill does her usual snooping and finds herself in a dangerous situation.
I love the Tourist Trap mystery series. Jill’s friends and family show up in every book. We learn to love them as much as we love Jill and Greg. This is definitely a five star book.

I received a copy of Wedding Bell Blues through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Wedding Bell Blues is the thirteenth mystery in the A Tourist Trap Mystery series. In this cozy mystery, Jill Gardner, a coffee and bookshop owner, finds herself wrapped up in another murder investigation when she discovered the body of a fellow small town business owner in South Cove. As usual, Jill dives into the mystery head first and runs through all the scenarios until she comes face to face with the murderer.

I have read every book in this series and have enjoyed them all, this mystery was no different. I love the setting and the characters, it seems like such a cool place to live. My only complaint is that Jill's wishy-washy, insecure feelings when it comes to her relationship with Greg King annoy me. I don't remember Jill being this way at the beginning of the series, but it's stood out to me in the last few books. Since this is the only thing I would change in the whole series, it is a very minor thing in the bigger picture. I thoroughly enjoy this series and this book was no different. It is definitely worth checking out if you are a cozy mystery fan!

What more could any reader want from a cozy mystery than what is delivered by Lynn Cahoon in Wedding Bell Blues, A Tourist Trap Mystery? It has a likable heroine with a great fiancée, an intriguing puzzle that wasn’t too easy to solve, realistic character development and the list goes on. I truly enjoyed this book and was especially impressed that the series and its characters continue to evolve and develop. So often a long-running series grows stale and characters seem frozen in place. This is not the case as Jill Gardner and her fiancée, Greg King, deal with their deepening relationship and all the ramifications of their engagement and the changes that married life will bring to their relationship. Though the mystery is well written and has an interesting twist at the end, that isn’t what made the book so enjoyable for me—it truly was the advancement of the characters and their lives. I also really love the small town environment.

I highly recommend this book, especially to those who enjoy mysteries. Five stars.

Wedding Bell Blues is book 13 in Lynn Cahoon’s Tourist Trap Mystery Series. Though I haven’t read any of the other books in the series, I didn’t find it difficult to figure out who all the main characters and how they were connected.

There’s a new shop in the tiny town of South Cove, California. It’s a new dress store called Exquisite Gowns. Jill’s Aunt Jackie decides it’s the perfect place for the two of them to get two new dresses for Jill’s engagement party to none other than South Cove’s police chief Greg King. When Jill goes to pick up the dresses, she finds a dead woman in the store. While her fiance’ investigates the death, Jill does some sleuthing of her own. Things seem off with the owner of Exquisite Gowns. Will Greg figure out who the killer is and solve the mystery before Jill goes herself in another dicey situation?

From what I can tell from other reviews, this has been an enjoyable series. I will say I did enjoy this book and will look forward to reading the future books within this series and will be checking out some of the other series Lynn Cahoon has written.

Thank you to #netgalley and #kensingtonbooks #lyricalpublishing for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this story in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed above are my own.

Another outstanding book, the 13th installment, in the Tourist Trap cozy series.

I love the characters, but especially Jill and Greg, so I was thrilled with this one, and, once again, I was drawn into the story right from the start.

I certainly hope this series continues its long run and the characters, who now seem like family, continue to grow.

Wonderful cozy!!

This is my favorite series by this author.. The others are good don't get me wrong, but I like these characters, town and theme (books) the best. I'm glad to see things continue to move forward for Jill and Greg.

Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for my eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Jill is newly engaged with her engagement party coming up. However, things get in the way such as the murder at a nearby shop and a kid’s bookathon at her bookshop. I enjoy the cast of characters in this series. The mystery wanders through it and has an unexpected solution. Enjoyable cozy with some interesting character dynamics.

This thirteenth in the Tourist Trap series, set in the coastal town of South Cove, California, starts off with a dead body in the new clothing designer's shop. Jill Gardner, owner of Coffee, Books, and More, finds the body when she goes to pick up her dress and her aunt's dress for the upcoming engagement party for her and her fiancé, Police Detective Greg King. The strange twist is that the body looks like the shop owner, but she appears across the street when Jill walks out. What? The designer, Harper Sanchez, acts very strange throughout the story. Lots of twists and turns to figure out.
I always look forward to reading this series as it is like a trip back to visit old friends in the quaint tourist town. There are some interesting characters, most of whom are likable, all realistic and well developed. This is another fun mystery to unravel and hope that Jill stays out of trouble. I had some thoughts about what was going on, but I did not have it quite right.
