The Tourist Trap Mysteries are one of my all-time favorite cozy mystery series and book #13, Wedding Bell Blues, is wonderful! Jill owns Coffee, Books and More. Her fiance is Greg King, South Cove's Police Chief. A new store opened in town selling fancy gowns and wedding dresses and is owned by Harper. Jill's Aunt Jackie ordered each of them new dresses for Jill and Greg's Engagement Party. When Jill goes to pick up the dresses, she finds a dead body. There are clues and secrets to unravel.. The characters are likable and realistic. The mystery kept me guessing until the end but I was on the right track. The book and series are well written and well paced.. Spending time with Jill, Greg and the rest of the cast is like visiting friends. Wedding Bell Blues is an awesome cozy mystery and very enjoyable.! #NetGalley #WeddingBellBlues #LyricalPress #LynnCahoon

In South Cove California Jill Gardner owner of Coffee, Books and More is getting ready for her upcoming engagement party. Her Aunt has surprised her by have a dress specially made for the party. All is going well until Jill goes to pick up the dress and finds a dead body instead. Her police detective fiancé has warned her not to get involved but can Jill really pass up the chance to snoop?

This book has a great mystery with a surprising twist at the end. There are many likeable characters and a good story flow. I just wish there was a little more interaction between characters. I felt there was a little to much time spent in Jill's head and on her day to day activities.

In the latest installment of the Tourist Trap Mystery series, Jill (owner of Coffee, Books, and More) and Greg (South Cove's detective) are celebrating their engagement with all the town. Jill can't understand why she's so nervous about the engagement party, and then she discovers a dead body at the new dressmaker's shop. It's bad enough that the person is dead, but why can't anyone seem to immediately 'fess up to even knowing who she is. Jill continues planning for the next town festival, which strongly features her shop, while Greg spends time investigating the crime. For once, will Jill stay out of the investigations? Once again, Lynn Cahoon has hit one out of the park with this book. The characters and characterizations of the tourist trap town are spot on, keeping the reader entranced until the last page.

Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Books for this ARC!

Lynn Cahoon is one of my favorite cozy mystery authors, and I have enjoyed reading through the Tourist Trap Mystery series. In Wedding Bell Blues, Jill has a lot on her mind: her upcoming engagement party, how her relationship with police chief Greg will change after marriage, and a recent murder at the new dress shop in town.

Jill and Greg's relationship seemed to overshadow the mystery in this book, which is fine because I'm invested in it. There's something off about them in this book and, while it can be frustrating at times, I found it rather authentic. I'm eager to see what's next for them.

I thought I solved the mystery early on but was surprised to see I was wrong. :)

I enjoyed this book. It’s always nice to visit with the characters. I was surprised by the twist at the end although I found the ending to be a bit confusing as to who the killer is. #WeddingBellBlues #NetGalley

Jill Gardner just wants to get through her engagement party before she and Greg get away for awhile and pick a wedding date. She’s busy enough planning an overnight read-a-thon for kids but everyone keeps asking when the big day will be.
As the engagement party nears, Jill goes to pick up the dress her aunt had made for her and finds a body in the shop. Thinking it is the designer, she calls Greg and he arrives with his officers.

Now Jill has the party, a read-a-thon and a murder to look into. Jill just has to hope that the murdered is found before she and Greg get to the death do us part portion of their relationship before even heading down the aisle.

This is a fun series, with the cutest golden retriever. The author is one of my favorite Cozy queens and I love all of her series. If you haven’t read one of Lynn Cahoon’s books yet, it’s time to fix that. Each of these reads fine as a stand alone, but you’ll want to read them all, so either start here or start at the very beginning and binge your way through her series. You’ll be glad you did.

Wedding Bell Blues is the 13th book of this series. I have read all in the series. Jill Gardner is the main character along with all supporting characters from the first book. She owns Coffee Books and More store. She lives in a tourist and coastal town of South Cove, CA. She and her fiancé, Greg King , police chief, are getting ready for their engagement party on Saturday, Her Aunt Jackie has ordered a dress for her from the new dress store owned by Harper Sanchez. When she goes to pick up the dress she finds a body in the store. It is thought to be Harper's sister, Alison. This is where the story takes off and takes the reader on an adventure of finding out who killed her . I don't want to ruin the story for the reader so I will let the reader find out the unusual and exciting ending of this story.

I love this series and look forward to the next adventure of Jill and Greg and the villagers in the town of South Cove.

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Publishing Corp. for this ARC.

I have always been a huge lynn cahoon fan when it comes to cozy mysteries and again I was not disappointed. It took me a little bit to get into as this is in the midst of the series but after a while I was able to get all the characters straight. It was a really cute and easy mystery and was a great palate cleanser between some more serious reads

Wedding Bell Blues is the thirteenth book in this series. I really wanted to love this book, however, I found Jill and Greg to be extremely annoying.
Jill and Greg are finally engaged, and the first thing that struck me as odd was Jill forgetting to put on her engagement ring. In my experience, the proposal and ring are the beginning of a life long commitment, and any newly engaged woman would be showing her ring to everyone.
Jill and Greg spent too much time discussing the situation, and Jill's lack of excitement to set a wedding date is a huge red flag. I'm not sure what the author has planned, but I hope this weird vibe gets better over time. I felt very uncomfortable with the way they were acting and I wanted to tell them to grow up.
The mystery was excellent and I had some of it pieced together, but the reveal surprised me.
My rating is based on the storyline and the mystery, and is my own personal opinion.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.

I love Lynn Cahoon's cozy mysteries and this is the latest addition to the Tourist Trap series. The author makes the communties feel as alive as the characters and I want to visit each and every town. This beach town, South Cove, has its own set of unique people that give the story depth. Of course the whodunit is the main plot-line and to Greg's frustration Jill can't keep her nose out of it, but the subplots are interesting too. Plan a visit to South Cove but watch your back.

Jill is more than a little stressed about planning a wedding (and a life) with police detective Greg. Add a big event at her store and she really does not need a murder. Of course, that is what she gets and despite all Greg's attempts, she cannot keep her nose out of it. Love this series.

ARC Kindle Copy from Review from Net Galley, Kensington Books and Lyrical Press.

I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Wedding dress shopping can be a stressful event; especially, for Jill when she sees a dead body in the bridal shop. To make matters worse as the shop owner is acting strange and her fiancé tells her to not get involve.

Of course Jill does not listen as she puts herself in peril. Once again she will come to the rescue as she solves the case. It is a charming cozy series.

This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, Kensington Books and by #NetGalley. Opinions expressed are completely my own.

The 13th in an established cozy mystery series that’s delightful. Charming is putting it mildly. While these are fine as stand-alone, it’s fun to read them in order. The characters are lovely, funny, with their own quirks and charms.

I like this series and this was an especially enjoyable addition. I enjoyed reading more about the bookstore, the new employees, their readathon and finally having Jill and Greg engaged, although I still find Jill’s aunt grating and annoying. I sometimes think knowing what they eat at every meal in the diner and some other scenes too repetitive, but all in all a good cost mystery.

I enjoyed this book, but I didn't quite understand about the woman who died. Did she deliberately allow herself to be killed or did they send the money afterwards to ease their consciences? Also, how did they find the woman in the first place? Other than that, it was an interesting plot.

Wedding Bell Blues by Lynn Cahoon is the thirteenth book in her Tourist Trap Mystery series. This time amateur sleuth Jill Gardner faces a really tricky muder mystery. Jill discovers a body in the dress shop where she has an appointment to pick up her dress for her engagement party to her fiance police detective Greg King. For Greg's sake (he worries about the dangerous positions she finds herself in while investigating)Jill tries to keep her investigation mostly as online searching. I liked following along as Jill tries to solve this murder mystery. I really Like that Jill and Greg will be getting married.

Here's the scenario. You go to the dress shop to pick up your designer gown for your engagement part. You find a dead body. Not long afterward, you see the person you thought was dead walking about seemingly without a care in the world. You're a naturally curious person but your husband-to-be, who happens to be the town detective, warns you away from investigating. He loves you, even though you can't seem to remember to wear your engagement ring, and fears you might be in danger. He asks some fellow officers and associates to keep an eye on you. What do you do?

Well, if you're Jill Gardner, you not only chaff under the supervision, insisting your dog will protect you, but you start asking questions and surfing the internet for information. Well, also while scarfing down and incredible amount of food, ice cream, and/or cookies. Often all of the above. Eating seems to be Jill's go-to when she is stressed. You also not only visit the scene of the crime again but talk to likely suspects. Will you get your designer gown in time for the party? Will your snooping, er, looking for information mean you won't live to wear your eventual designer wedding gown?

Welcome to Jill's "Wedding Bell Blues". Although his is the 13th book in the series, it works nicely as a stand-alone although perhaps reading previous books might give readers a better feel for the other characters who surround Jill and her shop. I tend to be drawn to books with strong relationships between well-rounded characters and didn't sense this this book. I was, however, intrigued by the potential author in the bunch and hope he's the focus of a later entry. Lynn Cahoon kept me guessing until the very end, I might add. What a twist!

Thank you #NetGalley and #KensingtonBooks for letting me drop in on Jill as she preps for her upcoming wedding. Hope she saves some of those cookies for me.

Thank you Netgalley for the advance reader copy of Wedding Bell Blues by Lynn Cahoon in exchange for an honest review. Jill Gardner, owner of Coffee, Books and more, lives in South Cove, a coastal California town. Jill and her aunt Jackie are at a new store to pick up new designer dresses for an engagement party. When Jill goes to pick up the completed dresses the next day, she finds Turner, the designer, dead. She calls 911 and Greg, her fiance comes. I admire the imagination that Lynn Cahoon has in writing her stories. The stories are cozy mysteries and romance blended together to make a fantastic book. I have always wanted my own coffee shop bookstore.
