This is my first introduction into Katee Roberts’ Dark Olympus series and I am absolutely certain that I will be devouring the first two books SOON. The world-building is seamless even though this is the third of the series. The characters are unique and so interesting even when they’re not immediately likable which is probably my favorite part. Cannot wait to read all the books and this one especially!

Katee Robert can do no wrong in my book and this start to the next installment of the Dark Olympus series is really great. I am excited to see a throuple coming in this series and cannot wait to see who will be the next Ares! I think this one is set to be the best book yet! Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the opportunity to read this preview sample!

Katee Robert's writing is so good and this retelling series she's been doing is one of my favorite things! I love mythology and retelling them as erotic stories is just everything I didn't realize I needed. I'm very much looking forward to reading this latest installment and these first chapters have just made me even more excited.

I'm so excited about the rest of this book! The first 5 chapters were NOT enough. I love the dynamic between Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus already. The characters are interesting and I'm super into the competition on who will be Ares.

Thank you to NetGalley for this advanced preview copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

I got to read the first five chapters of this book and I can't wait to see how the rest of the story plays out! I absolutely adore Katee Robert's take on Greek mythology. I highly recommend this series as well as her other books!

Something I really enjoy and appreciate about Katee Robert’s books is how she drops you right into the action. This is even more true in the 3rd installment of the Dark Olympus series, which takes right off with the great set-up of the competition to claim the newly available title of Ares, open to all.
After getting to know the MCs a bit in the first few chapters I’m looking forward to the whole book in June + a proper review and rating.
Thanks to NetGalley and the author for this 5 chapter preview.

When I saw that there was a new title by Katee Robert I jumped at the chance to read it. I love her writing, and Wicked Beauty promises as much, if not more, than her past books. This was only a sample of chapters 1-5, but this teaser definitely makes me want to read more! I love mythology retellings, and this one promises to be a hot one! A modern retelling of Helen of Troy, Achilles, and Patroclus that's as sinful as it is sweet.

I could not be more excited for this book. I really enjoyed Neon Gods and Electric Idol. Wicked Beauty is set to be an exciting addition to the series. This book is set to be a fresh take on the Achilles and Patroclus tale. I cannot wait to read the whole story!

Incredibly sexy preview of the newest installment to the Dark Olympus series. I **think** this will be my favorite so far. I really like the idea of exploring Helen, since usually she's only known for her beauty. On top of that, there's Helen-Patroclus-Achilles tension? oooh. I'm ready for this release.

This preview has made me so excited for the next book. I have read the first two of the series and the trope/characters of this book has me so intrigued. Katee Robert always writes such interesting stories with great romance and spice. The overall storyline of this series is an interesting modern day olympus. The short insight into book three has me really excited for its release date!

Every book in the Dark Olympus universe has gotten better and better.

I was immediately sucked in when Helen wants the position of Ares, but Zeus puts her up for the prize as wife to Ares for the winner of the three trials. I'm waiting for a Merida moment where Helen says fuck everyone and comes out to the 13 and says "I'll be shootin for my own hand!"

It was so cool to see so many other people and creatures from greek mythology pulled into the story. These first five chapters have me eagerly awaiting the release in June!

I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH AND I LOVE KATEE ROBERT!!! Y'all. Look no further than the Dark Olympus series if you like retellings and spice and inclusive romance. Seriously these books showcase different types of relationships/sexualities and normalize it. I cannot WAIT to get my hands on the rest of Wicked Beauty because phew even just this preview. This one's a retelling of Helen of Troy, Achilles, and Patroclus.

Dear lord this is hot.

I need the rest of this book.

As a long time reader of Kate’s books I am certainly not disappointed with this sneak peek. It’s everything I would expect from the next installment in the Dark Olympus series: fully intrigue, shows a new side to this world, has characters I’m already rooting for, and it’s sexy as hell.

With the addition of Achilles, Patroclus, and this expansion on Helen’s role all competing to be the Thirteen’s next Ares, lovers of mythology retelling, mafia romances, and this twisted world Katee has created will love this book. (If this 5 chapter sneak peek is anything to go on). I can’t wait for the rest!

As a modern retelling of the story of Achilles, Patroclus, and Helen of Troy, the preview introduces us to the city of Olympus and some of its glitterati. The third in Katee Robert’s Dark Olympus series, I have to admit that I began reading with some trepidation. On top of the fatigue I felt at yet another ancient Greek retelling, I was dropped into the middle of a novel series in a genre that I don’t usually read: romance. I was ready to discount this work.
Robert gave me a lesson in casting aside biases in the preview alone. The descriptions of setting and character alike captivated me, the characters themselves made me want to keep reading. And when the first relationship was introduced, I was thrilled to see something I’ve been searching for in fiction: non-traditional romantic representation.
If one of the functions of a novel’s beginning is to hook the reader, this one succeeds. I’m pre-ordering Wicked Beauty and back ordering the first two books in the series: Neon Gods and Electric Idol. I’m excited to read all three.

I got to read the preview for this book and… man so much! First thank you to the publishers for letting me read the first 5 chapters! I can not wait to read the rest. In true Kate Robert form, the first 5 chapters are packed with so much that you don’t have to wait for the story to develop. It starts right of the bat and no holds barred. Helen, which we got to know more in Electric Idol, is the daughter of the former Zeus and seen as a spoiled princess. But what I got to glimpse from Electric Idol and Wicked Beauty, Helen is not what she seems. Achilles and Patroclus are in a relationship and have their plans made for the future. Ares has died and Achilles wants to be the next in line, but so does Helen. Things get complicated because feelings start to get involved and now the future plans everyone has made seem to get muddled. Ugh! Is it June 7th yet?! I need more! Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I haven’t gotten to read the rest, but my guess is that it’s going to be 5 stars.

Thank you net galley for this ARC.

This is a master piece, god like even ( pun intended) . i devoured this.

i have always been kind of interested in Greek mythology but never knew how to enter it as i felt like it would be so hard to read but the modern take that Katee Robert cooperates while still having the feel of greek mythology is phenomenal. I am going to buy neon gods and electric idol right after this. I read a song of achilles and was just so confused and felt so stupid while reading it while i did enjoy it just like the next basic hoe but i felt so stupid because it was so smart. NOW THISSSS like i don't think i have loved a book so much from 5 chapters. The characters were so witty like Helen is such an icon i already love her to death and Patroclus like gives me such golden retriever vibes. Though i can't actually decide who i want her to end up with. i feel like she might end up with both so that should be interesting

Katee Robert you can have my first born child and anything you want from me.

I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS TO COME OUT. If I wasn’t sure about preordering this before I absolutely am now. I love the characters and the tension that is being built. I adore Greek retellings and this sexy, modern twist is so compelling.

Oh my Gods, I can't wait to see how the rest of this book plays out!
I've already pre-ordered the book and am really looking forward to seeing how Achilles, Patrocles, and Helen handle the competition for the Ares position.

I loved the fact that there are multiple points of view and seeing beyond just the pretty faces of the characters.

Thank you to NetGalley and Katee Robert for the chance to read this extended excerpt.
